As soon as I saw the table set, I was back on the bike and gone. As a kid, I grew up around open space and roads like this. We used to ride our motocross bikes on dirt roads like these, doing long power slides for days while attempting to spray your friends with rocks. Or snow in the winter time. We had more space than we knew what to do with.2 points

That's what I love about small town bike shops in Europe, you never know what you'll find in them. There are hardly any shops like that left in the UK now, they're all just owned by conglomerates , the staff know fuck all about the bikes if you ask them a technical question.2 points

We have a Stage 1 fire ban and Red Flag Warnings in effect here; No Shooting, no outside fires and no fireworks allowed. Sucks. They just don't wang the mountains catching on fire. It's been very dry here. Couple of years ago, some kids were shooting tracer rounds and burned up a hill or two and some homes.2 points

100 miles or so later and I saw this old, abandoned factory that is falling in on itself. I 'd guess, by the architecture, that it isn't that old. 1920's maybe? Kinda Art-Deco looking. I walked around back before getting outta there as it creeped me out; lots of old pottery and dishes set out like someone was going to be eating there soon...2 points

Don’t bring the grim great sadness onto this thread @XTreme, this is about happy kids doing powerslides, not Annie the orphan1 point

There was probably a bunch of ranchers there years ago raising cattle and they built it for their kids. The odd part is; who is maintaining it now? No towns for 75 miles around it. And what's with the upside down star / pentagram over the door? KInda weird as well.1 point

Thank you @Pedro for the ride, for the time, for the lessons, for the sharing. You (and your bike!) are amazing.1 point
