  6. As soon as I saw the table set, I was back on the bike and gone. As a kid, I grew up around open space and roads like this. We used to ride our motocross bikes on dirt roads like these, doing long power slides for days while attempting to spray your friends with rocks. Or snow in the winter time. We had more space than we knew what to do with.

  7. Wife wanted to go to the shops in Baza, plus we had to pick up the dogs' tablets in the Vets. So I nipped into Juan Cortes to get an oil filter! He asked me if I wanted to test ride their demo electric scooter that was out the front. I passed on that one!

  10. That's what I love about small town bike shops in Europe, you never know what you'll find in them. There are hardly any shops like that left in the UK now, they're all just owned by conglomerates , the staff know fuck all about the bikes if you ask them a technical question.

  11. We have a Stage 1 fire ban and Red Flag Warnings in effect here; No Shooting, no outside fires and no fireworks allowed. Sucks. They just don't wang the mountains catching on fire. It's been very dry here. Couple of years ago, some kids were shooting tracer rounds and burned up a hill or two and some homes.

  16. 100 miles or so later and I saw this old, abandoned factory that is falling in on itself. I 'd guess, by the architecture, that it isn't that old. 1920's maybe? Kinda Art-Deco looking. I walked around back before getting outta there as it creeped me out; lots of old pottery and dishes set out like someone was going to be eating there soon...

  17. There's lettuce in that, @Tym I do like a great burger, but that's just revolting.

  18. Don’t bring the grim great sadness onto this thread @XTreme, this is about happy kids doing powerslides, not Annie the orphan

  19. Sounds great! ? By contrast.......this was what I grew up in.......1950's Swansea. It was still being rebuilt as major parts of it had been destroyed by German Bombers in WWII.

  24. There was probably a bunch of ranchers there years ago raising cattle and they built it for their kids. The odd part is; who is maintaining it now? No towns for 75 miles around it. And what's with the upside down star / pentagram over the door? KInda weird as well.

  27. Cool part was that it wasn't posted and wasn't locked, so I opened the door and shot some pics without actually going inside. Old slate blackboards are still up on the wall, although someone nicked their stove which should have been in front of the chimney...

  28. All was not lost though as I found an old (1899) abandioned school house out in Buttfuck, Nowhere for Pete. Had a newer roof and someone also added some rope grout to the brick....

  29. Anyway, back at it today - heading back home. Today was just fucking hot; 100F/38C and 90%+ humidity - sucks the life right out of you. Air was so thick that I couldn't breathe and I had 400 miles to cover....
