  1. On the trail of the abandoned Railway Stations again! And today is Zujar-Freila! Easy to access (unlike Gorafe) and in a very poor condition. But at least there were no goats in it! What makes this station very different from the others is that it was featured in the 1959 film North West Frontier starring Kenneth More, Lauren Bacall, and Herbert Lom. The vid I made is a bit different too......with footage from the film along with some clips of the station as it is now! Or rather, what's left of it! Here's the updated map.......stations visited have the green dots! Here's the vid........quite a mix of stuff in it!

  8. Sunday and the roads were crowded with people from the city up in the mountains for the day. So I stayed in my own area and rode some dirt - roads are too rough for cars, so not many people. Stone ruins at the Caribou Mine....

  12. Would be cool to refurbish it into a home as the scenery is great from up here (around 10,000'). A few of the walls are beginning to crumble anbd fall though....

  13. I'm not sure how old these are, but they were reinforced with concrete in the not too distant past. There's also mortar in there, so not too old....

  21. Not too bad - it has 21,000 miles right now. Probably be around 28,000 by the end of riding season this year when it'll be 2 years old.

  22. I normally give up on threads with lots of pics as on this particular site, with my very slow internet connection (1.3Mb/s today), they just flash 2 shades of grey for ages until they eventually materialise and it makes my head hurt. BUT, I held on because of what you said about the abandoned bar and it was worth waiting for, especially that hat! If you go back, take a little tripod and a tea towel. Pop the tea towel over you arm and stand behind the bar for the perfect barman shot.

  24. Just a note @BusBoy told me years ago that the exhaust tip i made using a 45 degree bend of standard copper pipe would never last....now, it might seem petty to bring this up, butt, and this is a big butt....you;d be right, its petty butt it lasted so there.

  25. Its ok, at the 8 mile mark a speck of dirt landed on my KLR, i rushed home and spent the next 3 hours cleaning her up under the shade tree in my front yard

  27. Not really, the gold mines are all around it and it was the gold miner's kids that went to the school. But once the miners left, the kids left as well. School closed and fell into disrepair. The current school (we have only one school in the entire county and it serves Kindergarten through 12th grade) only graduates about 15 students per year. Hardly worth keeping it open for so few students. It'll probably look like this school in another 100 years <gg>.

  30. I guess i could add what the bags molle to, i use these crash bars up front, their bar size is perfect for molle pouches webbing. Thicker bars might not work so well, i dont know. https://www.happy-trail.com/find-your-bike/kawasaki/klr650a-87-07/protection/pdnerf-klr650a.html These in back. https://www.happy-trail.com/find-your-bike/kawasaki/klr650a-87-07/luggage-racks/happy-trails-osr-racks-kawasaki-klr650-1987-2007-2008.html The rear rack is stock KLR.

  31. @Pedro To actually answer your question, sometimes nothing, like in these bags i leave space for shopping: https://lapolicegear.com/tactical-utility-shoulder-bag.html The tail bag is out of production, cant show you an example, its a MOLLE bag too, like all these bags are, as they all can be used on my tactical MOLLE vest that i have. In the tailbag i keep a spare tube and some tools, and a siphon hose to feed those less endowed with a big ass gas tank. The medical bags are self explanatory unless your name is Bruce. To the front crash bars, my fire extingusher is in this MOLLE bag : https://lapolicegear.com/condor-radio-pouch-multicam.html because Smoky Bear is a friend of mine from way back. I mean chit catches fire near me allot i dunno why. These bags are meant for .30 cal belt ammo: https://lapolicegear.com/tactical-ammo-pouch.html Holds tie downs for the trailer for when my spare motor parts break and a bunch more space left over.. I love these, they do triple duty, from hydration to spare nuts, you name it. https://lapolicegear.com/condor-h2o-pouch.html All in all Molle bags were invented for motorcycles imho, heavy duty stiching and zippers, rip proof fabric, throw them on a vest or bike, and the prices arnt bad. If i add weight i get to spread it around and keep it on the down low parts If you wonder what Molle gear is see this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOLLE

  37. @XTreme Fibre optic here as well, When they first installed it they gave you the choice of dial up for free or broadband for something like £4.99 a month, they just didn't understand just how cheap the welsh were, everyone was on free dial up for years until they started charging close to the broadband price for it then dial up just disappeared LOL
