That explains it......?? I like hanging out with you old guys, you don't get your panties in a knot every time someone says something you don't like, and you're not afraid to speak your mind.....even if you are slightly off your rocker.....?3 points

In a lot lesser scale, I can sort of relate to that from when I spent all my money and free time making my track car ready and safe to go on track, only to have shit happen regardless. Some wine helps you with that ... and some rust preventive product probably helps the boat as well2 points

I have a lot going on right now, I'm a shop steward so you can imagine how things are crazy at the moment. Bob is undoubtedly a cunt though and don't get me started on boat boy.2 points

Bob was calling for Bruce......Bruce turns up.....and then Bob legs it! If Buck hadn't legged it he'd be calling him a cunt for sure!2 points

You're by no means the oldest. There's a few ahead of you (me included at 66) with @Lone Amigo as our senior statesman who's 75. @Pedro was the baby of the forum on DSUK in 2004.......and he's still the baby now at nearly 40.1 point

Old! At least I feel old at times?. I'm a youthful, vibrant 62. With the knees of a 90 year old.1 point

It;s a lot of fun out there, although the rocks beat the shit out of you. Not any smooth riding at all and constant jarring from hitting rocks. Kinda tough on my old bones.1 point

It's got it's place, lots of people ride bikes on long motorway trips and commute to cities, this is just another thing to make their life easier. Me? I love my cruise control, apart from being great on the motorway I use it around town and country roads to adjust my gloves or zip up or down my jacket, get the phone out and onto the handlebars, etc, really useful. Not to mention standing up and adjusting underwear in hot days This technology helps safety equipment become more advanced and less intrusive, so if you're using your bike on somewhere with plenty of traffic, oil or diesel spillage, frost, etc, it'll just become better at saving you without actually being annoying.1 point

No sir, I don't like it.... ? I'm not a radical luddite, but too much technology just takes away the fun of riding for me....but then look at me, I ride a Himalayan.....?1 point

I thought huawei was taiwanese or korean, so that shows how much I know... I don't knowingly buy anything chinese but break off the outer wrappings and most electronic goods are built there. To be fair, the bubonic plague thing is a media hype I think, it reemerges regularly in various parts of the world and is now fairly easily treated and dealt with as I understand it. I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories about covid or other deseases, but then I don't subscribe to any of the myriad conspiracy theories that circulate so readily on social media so maybe i'm just too naive and trusting. nothing I can do about any of it anyway so wether it's natural or done "a purpose" the result is the same.1 point

Ugh It's difficult making a selection ? Well I love taking our R1100GS'ses offroad And yeah, I drop 'em too. Most of the time I can get them back on their feet myself Love traveling offroad too, with luggage And once we bought an R1100RT to make a sidecar off, but when we got it, we couldn't help it to take it for a spin first too hahahaha1 point

After all these muddy pictures, I went and dug up a few pictures from the old days, didn't find what I was looking for but found these from when I first started riding my XR, back in 2007 I loved riding sand back then, when I bought the bike it had a few cables badly routed and the steering was stuck. Since I fixed it, I started falling down in the stuff ?1 point
