What's worse imo, are the feckin front indicators on permanetly on my CRF ( I think the Africa Twin is the same). As your approaching junctions twats in cars just glance and think your indicating so they pull out in front of you. I don't see any plus points for them being on all the time ?3 points

Loving my new gas tank! Downtown New London. Oi @XTreme The New London train station! Docked behiond the train station was the reproduction of the Mayflower, really cool ship. Apparently BMW drivers drive Audi's now! BOLO! Coming home crossing the Niantic River! I caught up to a rider named Bruce! Thanks for viewing, have a great day!3 points

@XTreme I'm actually using Motul in my CRF1000 i cant say i noticed any difference between what Honda used and Motul, all the other bikes are old and were designed around mineral oil so i just use a cheep semi synthetic oil of the correct specification. On my old VFR750 i only used Castrol GTX mineral oil for cars (before the friction modifiers) and that bike covered 64000 miles on it when i owned it.2 points

At the moment it just seems to be the CRF Rally and the CRF1000L, I have no idea why. Pehaps Fred has more idea as he's had his 1000 for a fair while.2 points

I don't like daytime running lights either.......you hit a bump in the road and it can appear to a car at a side junction that you're flashing them out. But they're permanently on now so not a lot you can do about it.2 points

Daytime running lights on motorcycles became unsafe when cars were mandated to have Daytime running lights here, , one headlight now disappears into an abiss of headlights Plus, its my theory they are trying to kill you, and this "I dint see um" statement after running over a motorcyclist is human nature, not a factual statement. A humans first response to fucking up is to try to "excuse" the act. They saw you, they just dint give a chit. When i drove Tractor Trailers a old women hit the front of my truck 12 noon, she said" I dint see'um!" She disnt see a tractor trailer with 400 lights and a 40 X 3 foot relective stripe on the trailer? She wont see you or your daytime running lights either.2 points

The cops here dont care because its not a State law to enforce, its a Federal mandate to manufactures. Connecticut requires you to turn on your headlight at night or when its raining, thats all the cops here can enforce. Just another advantage of living in a Republic, not a Democracy.1 point

A Dutch mate of mine, (the one who was pushing his fucked KTM), has a house in Morocco but is still stuck here and can't get back. Been here about 5 months now! But I think he's stopped pushing now! On the other hand he could be pushing it to Morocco for all I know. Should have bought himself a nice Parts Bin Special!1 point

Patrols are very popular around here, the saying is that some forest fires are a myth, some are just smoke caused by a Nissan Patrol climbing his way up a rocky trail Welcome!1 point

on a run around picking up some bits for work by bike on wednesday I came across these to old ladies in the back yard of one of our suppliers Austin FX3! London taxis built by BMC from '48 to '58 WTF? made me instantly think of that war poet Rupert Brook (?) who wrote in the 1st war I think " If I should die, think only this of me, that ther is, some corner of a foreign field that is forever England. There shall be, in that rich earth a richer dust concealed..." I can't remember how the rest goes, you;ll have to look it up. it must be a good 30 years since a learned it at school...1 point
