Chucking it down here, my wife complained that the grocery shopping was all wet, it didn't matter that I was soaked ?3 points

Got to take the wife shopping in Baza tomorrow morning! But Sunday.......it could be the abandoned village high up in the Sierra de Segura mountains in the Jaen province! It will need to be filed under Rugged Individualism of course! Now you've all admitted that you can get on your bikes (using various bizarre techniques).......so what about you lot doing something on this scale? With pics and vids obviously.......otherwise it didn't happen. Plus of course, people will have you pegged as an Internet Bullshitter! Is that what you want?........Cos that's what's going to happen!2 points

It's his knob, it is just out of sight up his shorts and wedges into the sleeve of the artificial limb so it holds on tight. That's why he is doing a few little stamps after refitting it, to make sure his balls aren't trapped in it as well.2 points

How the fuck did you do that, you got a quick release attached to your leg?2 points

As much as it pains me to say it...... @BusBoy that's a class act. @Clive.......if you do take a trip over just be aware that Bruce likes to show men his ass. Some sort of bizarre Saffer ritual I think.......just humour him. Over 15 years ago now Bruce........wish I could get in contact with Lyn again.2 points

Day off work today and pissed off. been waiting for the rear shock to be rebuilt for my XR400 for over a month only to be phoned up today to be told the place i had it rebuilt about 9 years ago have done a botch job on it and now its fucked. So i dug out the spare i bought years ago. It looks OK on the outside except the top bearing is shot and the rubber bump stop has rotted off. After discovering i don't have to use nitrogen gas to recharge it i decided to have a go at rebuilding it myself which then pissed me off even more because i've realised i have been wasting my time and money getting it done elsewhere when it's something i can do myself Shock all in bits waiting to pick up my other shock now to try and make one good one out of the two I knocked up this shock seal bullet ready for the rebuild It covers the end of the shaft so you can slide the seal head back on without damaging the seals2 points

If you start in Lisboa and need a place to sleep in Azambuja, If I'm there I'll be happy to put you up for a night plus a couple of meals.2 points

I like it too. I don't think there's any way that guy is comfortable on that bike in a normal seating position, he must be stretched as hell.2 points

@Clive, a mate of mine is selling a CB500. He's a retired engineer so the bike will be good and it's cheap money. https://adventurebikerider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=502962 points

I'm too impatient with it Bob running blunt tools and incorrect speeds LOL i need to set it up properly but i only make bushes and spacers with it so i don't need to be too accurate. I've used them before my teens as my father has always had a lathe and milling machine amongst other stuff so thought it was about time i got my own and did a few years ago1 point

What with you on the sidestand and @Specs doing his Monty Python "Ministry of Funny Walks".......I think the pair of you need to stay in Wales. You can't cross the border and do that stupid shit in front of the Hanoverians.....we'll never hear the end of it!1 point

With me it was seeing the Rockers and their bikes in Swansea Fairground throughout the Summer of 64......I was 10. As I was always there they'd all chip in a few bob for me to watch their bikes for them......and to sound the alarm if anybody (like Mods) got too close. A couple of them even let me sit on their bikes at different times......and that was pretty much it. I was hooked. I then used to watch the motorcycle racing on Saturday afternoons on World of Sport (or it might have been Grandstand)........always supporting Bill Ivy! Took me until 71 when I left school to be able to get the money together to get something....22 quid for a TV175 Lambretta! But it was a start. And 50 years later (inside) I still identify as a Rocker/Greaser. Because when you learn your trade within that mindset/culture it never leaves you. Yes....I ride an "adventure" parts bin special......and I do a damn sight more with it than the adventure poseurs and hipsters do with their cutting edge shit. But I'm still a Rocker/Greaser! So is @Renegade........but he's a toothless one!0 points
