  3. Took a run through the cave house region of Galera......and it was bloody hot. In fact it was too hot to take a load of pics, but I think the vid will give you a general idea of what cave houses are like. Don't ask me the logic of wanting to live in one........I live in a house! They're mainly popular with foreigners as they're seen as fashionable.......and with gypsies because they're cheap! In their case, if they find the family keeps growing and they don't have enough bedrooms, they start digging and create another one.

  4. Ok, i'll explain it as best I can. I wear a silicone sleeve that fits tight over my stump, on the end is a pin which fits into a lock in the leg. The pin is chamfered all the way down so that it can only go one way until the lock is released. This is a photo I knicked from the web , my sleeve is grey but apart from that it's much the same. It's a good system for me , the only downside is when it's hot my leg sweats and this can cause the sleeve to slip hence a few mishaps where it has fallen off

  6. That really looks like one of those roofless Quasars from the 70s.

  7. After having slept in one, there are two things going for them. First I imagine to be the natural isolation against heat, but the complete lack of sound gives you a great night's sleep. I suppose it must be pretty shity to actually live in a house with no proper sunlight or drafts of fresh air, though.

  11. Only out locally for an hour earlier this morning........but even at 10AM it was steaming. Going to have to postpone any remote exploration stuff till mid September the way it's going now! Only took one pic......too hot to stop! But there should be a vid of riding through the cave house district of Galera later.

  12. It's his knob, it is just out of sight up his shorts and wedges into the sleeve of the artificial limb so it holds on tight. That's why he is doing a few little stamps after refitting it, to make sure his balls aren't trapped in it as well.

  13. After @Pedro showed me where to eat a nice snack in the middle of a 500 kms ridding day, I went back for more! I dont take almost any pictures ever! But here are some! Sao Pedro do Sul, where we had lunch last week and the others are from a gorgeous place really North next to the border with Spain, also recommended by @Pedroand he was not wrong when he said it is breath taking! Plus a view point with my own name, the egocentric in me says, whats not to like!! The only thing missing was @Pedro himself that this time was otherwise engaged and didn't join me for the ride! there are a lot of videos, however will not bore you with them

  21. I'm too impatient with it Bob running blunt tools and incorrect speeds LOL i need to set it up properly but i only make bushes and spacers with it so i don't need to be too accurate. I've used them before my teens as my father has always had a lathe and milling machine amongst other stuff so thought it was about time i got my own and did a few years ago

  22. As much as it pains me to say it...... @BusBoy that's a class act. @Clive.......if you do take a trip over just be aware that Bruce likes to show men his ass. Some sort of bizarre Saffer ritual I think.......just humour him. Over 15 years ago now Bruce........wish I could get in contact with Lyn again.
