I like it here, with most of the old crowd and some new blood too, I do use facebook but in a rectricted manner and prefer the format of forums. I just ealised that it works a bit like a terrorist organisation, with a hard core at the centre and various levels of implication within the whole, whilst everybody knows "virtually" most of the others, no one person has actually met more than one or two of the other members...? I've met Bob and Cattee, Bruce helped me out in a big way when I was struggling with computor problems though i've never met him. I struggle to think of anyone I could invite as so few of them speak sufficient english. There is one I could try... but he rides a harley now...3 points

I was supposed to go back north today, and tomorrow going on a little ride in the morning. But, after finishing up the gardening I'm about to go for lunch with my neighbors so I am not going to lie to myself and will just admit that I'll be napping in the afternoon, enjoying a sunny cool day watching plats grow. No biking this weekend, the GS has earned a rest.3 points

So today my tree was brought home. Maria picked a handful of Argan nuts off the floor in Morocco, and about 3 years ago I one of them started growing with a little help from myself: Yesterday, aproximately 3 years since it started growing, I wanted to give it a chance to grow and this home is where it belongs. So, using a friend's van I drove it 250km home And it was put on the ground with the help of a stake to help it cope with the high wind here for the first few weeks, and also to help straighten her a little bit. I finished watering when it was already dark and freezing. Also brought 60 new plants to help turn this garden around, so tomorrow is going to be busy gardening.2 points

Dark Motorcycling was the original plan......searching for an abandoned village in the Murcia province! However, it didn't quite turn out like that. I'd located it on Google Maps and Google Earth, rode across the border into Murcia and then followed the only trail from the road. Unfortunately, after a couple of miles down it, and getting covered in dust, the trail led me into a private hunting reserve! Which I'd have to actually ride through to get to the abandoned village! As getting shot at wasn't exactly what I had in mind for the day, I made my way back onto the main road. But all is not lost......I did stop to get petrol on the way back and found yet another service station that's been abandoned. So at least I was able to do my Omega Man bit in there! When I got back to town it was fuel it up.......and hose it down! Yes......I found a petrol station that was actually open! This Beemer is amazing on fuel......I estimate around 70mpg in normal usage! Rugged Individualism was never as economical as this before. And I was definitely glad I was on this today on the offroad sections......so much easier than the Strom. Yes, I still ride like a pussy in those environments.....but at least it's not hard work now!2 points

No, they stay outside. Pretty low key animals until they get pissed off, then they can stomp you to death but that's pretty rare. Still, anything that big get a wide berth from me.2 points

Just finished a stint of gardening starting at 8AM, and the sun is just now coming out from over the fog It was getting painful to see the garden looking like it was abandoned, so hopefully some of these plants will spread and prevent most of the nasty weeds appearing so strongly. Antonio, the gardener, works at an amazing pace, we planted 60 new plants today and I could hardly keep up with gently watering new holes, and new plants, and basically being his helper. Overall, I think there are about 120 or so new things in this garden now since three weeks ago, I'm curious to see if things will pick up, rain would be a bonus over the next few days.2 points

Yes, it's really easy to put up and works great, then it goes away when not needed. Way more affordable than having a garage built. ?2 points

I've been tier two-d apparently, along with most of Essex. I don't feel any different? Can I pop to Suffolk just up the road or will a rosy cheeked bobby jump out and arrest me? Only my crash bars have arrived at the shop and I has to go and get them.1 point

That's a clean bike! Every time I start fantasizing with a different bike to take off the miles out of the GS so it can last forever I think of a Ducati, and then I look at your clean T7!1 point

That was a nice story, had to laugh about the compass, mine has never worked either. ? From my experience I feel pretty much the same as the writer does. It does make the bike out to be a bit more fancy than it is, the build quality is shit really in so many ways, but for some reason it all works, most of the time and its lots of fun. ? It does surprise you as to where it can go..... Now back to the tent/garage for some valve checking....??1 point
