I see a bloke in the paper has formed a limited company and put all his extended family down as employees. He says he is going to have a non paid work related meeting on Christmas day where food will be provided so he can have more than 6 people there legally.5 points

In the UK have found that I always average 50mph and the longer the distance the more likely it is spot on. I may ride faster but the various stops or traffic problems always bring it down to 50. Going in to work is different, I usually do the 50 mile trip in 45 minutes going in (average 66mph??), that's because it is a relatively uncluttered ride with no embuggerances. Coming home it usually takes an hour because of filtering through 5 or 6 miles of traffic before hitting the motorway, so back to the 50mph average again.4 points

Today I rode from my home in the countryside to Ericeira in the seaside. It was a bright sunny day, and felt amazing after the last few days’ storm. A short detour exploring an offroad track, I’ll go back with no luggage as it’s a little bit steep. In light of recent BOTM flops I decided to go for a photo shoot. Onwards, always taking the small roads on the map is a good policy for finding cool spots of road. Lisbon’s wine country is looking great will autumn colours. And then, near Ericeira looking at some big waves.3 points

European law would not allow seizure or fine on the sole grounds of the data protection act, filming in a PUBLIC place is the key, unless you are filming children ( and an official complaint is made to the police) or can be deemed to be filming for commercial purposes in which case you'd need permission from local authorities.3 points

to and from work is allowed. work is allowed. food shopping is allowed. only essential goods shops are open ( and professional suppliers so we can all still work) anything not work is not allowed. Any ( including work) travel must be justified with a signed permit. crossing any border within the EU must be justified and acco;panied by a negative Covid test report less than 72 hrs old. This comes into force midnight tonight. There was ( at 18h00) 600km of traffic jam outbound from Paris give them a little more time and there'll be jackbooted militia in the streets shouting " PAPIERS BITTE!"... " AUSWEISS!, SCHNELL!"3 points

I can, but that wouldn’t even get the GS warm enough to open the radiators. I’ll be visiting Sofia in Ericeira and enjoying a couple of bottles of wine instead, with the bike parked for the period.2 points

This is a trip i tracked a few years ago all paved roads which included motorways as well as A and B roads, most of the time i stuck around the legal speed limits with stops for food, fuel and toilet, so i think the riding gods are either working their average out wrong or are full of shit. It takes 5 hours to do 400km on a motorway at motorway speeds throw some dirt in and you wont be doing 70mph for long periods unless their the gravel type roads you see out in Oz, or is that just me being a sceptical dick LOL2 points

In my case, if the Law viewed the total footage of the vids I've taken they'd think I was remaking The Omega Man! Wrecked buildings, empty roads, and just the occasional sub-human staggering about!2 points

General Lockdown in France from tomorrow midnight to !st december. And there was me hoping to get some riding in between now and mid nov when I have the knee op. Stoopid thing is they'll slow the spread down just sufficiantly to allow everyone out for Chrismas... which will then recontaminate the entire country and oblige another lockdown in janruary. Fuck 'em, i'm gomg riding tomorrow then, I'll be home around 23H58...1 point

yeah, but I'm talking an average apeed over a number oh hours Pete, on the decent roads I'm usually riding around 100 - 110kph but over 3 or 4 hours your average would be a lot lower.1 point

If the dirt roads around here are smooth enough - and most are - I do around 60 mph on them. Slower on rough or more technical dirt roads. Two lane paved I usually do around 80 mph, highways a bit more. But we have greater distances to cover to get anywhere as well. Can't go too slow or you'll never get there!1 point

As from midnight each town is locked down......and you can't enter another town. There doesn't appear to be any restrictions on moving round within the town region......so my understanding is I can still ride the bike without an issue in the immediate area. I'm trying to get clarification on this.....but like everything in Spain it's pretty confused.1 point

A full month? I think that goes to prove what I think is wrong with all our governments. They try to control people and the disease when it's not and allow it to spread when it's the most profitable, be it summer holidays with tourism or Christmas with shopping and food industry. Instead of maintaining the thing under "average" control and countries closed they manage it to let it spread when it satisfies economic lobbies. Managing life vs sales? Fuck them. Is this too politic?1 point

I get a lot of concerned people on FB telling me to be careful. I just tell them that I lived in Swansea for 40 years.......I've walked into many hellholes that were guaranteed to be full of pretty fucking awful people......so how can it be any worse than that?1 point

Omega Man was the cult classic though Clive. I remember going to see that in the Carlton Cinema Swansea in 1972 with the bird I was with at the time. Didn't know then that she was a stalker (that phrase didn't exist then) and a complete fucking psycho. I had my suspicions though later in the year when she slashed my throat with a knife.0 points
