.......we sailed out of Poole Harbour late at night en route for Cherbourg.......leaving Britain forever! Destination Spain! At the same time in Cardiff @Renegade and his head-tapping twats were throwing a party to celebrate that I was leaving! We drove through France the following day and stayed the night in Perpignan......that was a lovely place. The following morning we crossed the border into Spain and never left. Despite the fact that some said we wouldn't last a year! A lot has changed since then......the 3 dogs that came with us have now gone! The youngest boy left for NL in 2013, and the eldest boy left for Poland in 2016. It wasn't long before I got a pic on the seafront in the Costa Calida........to wind up all my mates back in Britain who were still stuck there in the pissing rain! And 15 years later I'm still doing it! I guess some things never change!5 points

And in this case it's me! Because I get the feeling we're going to be going back into a total lockdown soon. And that will mean the Army back on the streets patrolling again.......that's not something you can ignore. So I'm making the most of this weekend! At the moment the restrictions imposed mean I can't go into another town......I have to stay within the perimeters of this one. But fortunately there's plenty of scope for riding round the vast open countryside around this place. The elements were in my favour.....24C and blue skies! So it would have been rude not to take advantage of that! And besides that.....I love this fucking bike! And I still want to ride it like a bit on the side!3 points

I don’t get it, as soon as the wet rain stops you ride straight into a wet puddle? Cool stuff, though, I used to ride through a few of those on the XR back when in was up north, anc it’s great fun.3 points

Today was the first time i have been aloud out the house for 2 weeks so i take a little ride to try and regain some sanity but stuck in RCT doesn't give me much choice in where to ride, the roads are busy as hell even for the bike and the lanes I've done a thousand times before but I'm going anyway. I takes the 650 to test the front end rebuild from last weekend and the Mitas C02 rear tyre. After traversing my way though the traffic to Porth about 4 miles north of my home its straight up to Miriam's bench again and a stop for a breather as this track is a bit harder on the 650 and i bloody needed it after 2 weeks of 3 meals a day and no exercise I decide to go over to the Cynon valley from here past the moto x practice track a nice gravel road through there but the guy that runs it keeps locking the gates, as far as I'm aware its still a vehicular right of way so i shall be reporting this again. I managed to bounce the bike through the horse gate to the right with no real problem but that's not the point it should not be locked And the same with the gate at the other end of the lane, he don't mind people using it when their paying to ride the track the twat A bit of road and a nice lane heading back towards home you could even do this on a 650GS and with wonky knees to ? No real Autumn colours yet Stopped to say hello to this pair but they weren't interested so i bid them farewell and carried on I decide to check out the old ford i haven't been across it in a long time. The route down to it hasn't been used for a long time either The concrete ramp is slippery as hell with a big drop into the water and lots of loose rock. Too rough for me to attempt on the 650 luckily there is a footbridge i could use instead I decides to do a loop back round to the start of the horsey lane as there's another lane off to the left i haven't done in years, the start has been blocked so another check for me to find out its status I have no problem squeezing through, this lane is a nice ride down through woodland I remember after this bit there's no going back as it gets a bit washed out ahead its all down hill so should be ok And i wasn't wrong, a bit rough for the 650 and me really. I had the bike propped upright for a photo but the bloody stick snapped good job the bank was there Why do photos always make things look easy ahh a nice gentle lane and i need it to cool down after the last one but it wasn't like this for long I haven't ridden along here in over 10 years as it's not quite legal and i suddenly realised I'm impressed with the C02 tyre it got quite mucky and the tyre had no trouble pushing me through it all back to the road via the old coal tip used to have great fun on these as a kid a hell of a lot more growth on it now though Next track is up though the woodland on the side of the mountain behind the bike here At the top of this old coal tip is the aptly named jam pot, not quite sure what it was for but it was to do with the old coal industry here years ago A bit more road and onto the next mountain, Again quite a difficult track for the 650 but it manages I'm just along for the ride I ride up onto what is known as the gap, I'm on dodgy ground now I'm right on the RCT border here, to the left is RCT and the right Merthyr And from here it was home i did have to cross the boarder for about a mile but i made sure no covid jumped off or onto me honest ? a good ride to pull me out the rut I've been in for the last two weeks. The 650 might be a rough old dog but i just love thumping around on it always cheers me up2 points

I think that's a Royal Observer Corps bunker. For men dressed in khaki to live in and test the atmosphere every day for radioactivity after a nuclear strike and send the results to the authorities so they could see what was spreading where and plan accordingly.2 points

VIEWER WARNING High Rain Content & Visible Muddy Puddles On the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia it is very likely to rain ? for days at a time in the autumn. So you tend to get used to playing in the rain. I have come to love riding through the rainforest in the rain, with the low clouds and the mist hanging in the forest, it's magical. ?? On this ride we just putter about in the forest and stop by Phare Lake to enjoy the view. ?2 points

Ooooh, Boris has made it a certainty that the shops will be rammed between now and Wednesday night. Thank god I always keep a large amount of big roll and powdered milk in stock. At least when i go to my meeting on Monday in the pissing rain and I can tell them they'll have to wait for what they want cos we are locked down until the start of December at least.2 points

Absolutely! It's nothing short of a miracle that the road isn't strewn with headless corpses! What you say @Grasshopper's Ride?2 points

A car the other way and the worst could have happened, you would have a slightly wet bike. That kind of shock brings it all into perspective. The BMW is doing well by you, even your pictures are brighter and prettier. Less of the crumbling houses and more of grand views.2 points

I had a bit of a scary moment with that substance today Fred! It could very easily have turned into Death and Dismemberment.......but, more by luck than judgement, carnage was avoided! What you say @Tym?2 points

Well, let me get the party started ? ? No lockdown here, but for now I never really leave the small coastal area I live, so no difference to me. Today will start with knives ? .... I plan on cutting open and gutting a few unsuspecting pumpkins. ? Then I get to see if I can fit a new oven (the old one BLEW UP) through the doorway of my cottage like house, should be fun. But wait there's more..... Going to upload my latest video, which will be hard for some of you to watch. There is a lot of RAIN ?️ Saturday and Sunday look great for weather, so we are going for a ride into my "backyard" to explore, now that the logging trucks have stopped for the season. ? I know, I know, when will the fun stop.... ?2 points
