I did walk the 300yds to the bakery and back for bread this morning but that is going to get stale pretty fast... ( ) I am allowed to go food shopping and from monday pick the kids up from school but them being twins and too big to fit in the panniers, that ain't going to be by bike...unless one of them gets ill... hmmm, I wonder...?7 points

All Saints Day in Spain today.......so I took a run up the remote mountain road that leads to Santiago de la Espada. I was able to get about 25 miles before I had to turn back, or I'd have gone outside the perimeters of this area. And there are restrictions in place now. This is quite a challenging road as the surface is pretty bad in most places, there's continual hairpin bends, and a drop of a few hundred feet at the sides in various places. There's also wild deer and wild boar roaming all over the place, and the deer have a tendency to leap from banks at the side of the road straight into your path. There's no phone coverage either, and if you do encounter another vehicle it'll probably be coming at you on the wrong side of the road in one of the many hairpin bends. So this really isn't an area to bin it......because you're on your own! You go over the edge and nobody's ever going to know. I think every bike I've had in Spain has done this road......some better than others obviously. But none of them have done it as easily as this Beemer! It really is an eye-opener......not because anything about it is particularly special, it's more a case of it being so well balanced and just so easy to ride. Lyn has ridden this road back in 2007.......remember it @KAYZ1? So here we go......just a short vid but you'll get the idea.4 points

It's not the content of the photo Bob.......it's the quality of it. It's blurred and pixelated.........like he's taken it on a Polaroid Swinger from the 1960's.4 points

He's got nothing to worry about, he is a religious extremist. But worse than that he's a feckin bus driver now ?4 points

So my job as a temporary veterinarian assistant saw me holding down a dog as he had his butt checked, he didn’t like it one bit as one can assume. But I used the technique I use when I need to hold Costa in the vet and it worked a treat. But today we had a cat with serious skin problems in need of a skin scratch sample and a blood sample. To my horror I was told that I would probably be holding it down, but @Sofiamanaged to do all of it with minimal fuss and I had to do nothing except hold a little bit of cotton to stop the blood after the sample was taken. I was scared shitless through the entire thing and I swear he could see the terror in my eyes when he looked at me while I was holding his paw and was evaluating how many more seconds he would give me before tearing my face to shreds. All was ok and I managed to not be mauled, but this is a very unhappy cat:3 points

What a splendid road! Looks like a fun ride. ? We have the same here with deer, suckers just jump out from the sides and stand on the road. Although, when I see footage from Australia and what the Kangaroos do, I'll take deer any day! We don't have boar's here (they scare me) but we do have bear and elk that hang out on the roads too. All part of the fun. ?2 points

Wow, that can be interesting work. I volunteered for awhile at a vet / animal shelter and saw some really crazy stuff. I was lucky most of the time but once had a freaked out cat get loose, it ran into a shower room for the dogs and the floor was wet, the cat turned, I slipped and it ripped me to shreds before heading out the door and down the next hallway. ?2 points

I fail to understand how you can still be surprised at my mindboggling ineptitude with all things computerised... it's not like I haven't always been a complete arse at it.2 points

If you're just a 'point and shoot' type of person (like me), then a good phone camera is better. You don't need a DSLR nowadays.2 points

I find it annoying to carry a big camera, on and off the bike, completely gave up on them in favour of my phone that is now always held onto the handlebar. But I’m not one to really be into photography, I understand a proper camera makes sense for someone who actually enjoys shooting pictures. I had all my Morocco pictures in two separate hard drives, both failed which caused me great sadness because I thought I would never get to see them again. Eventually my brother managed to save them from one of the drives, and I now carry them both in a cloud and a memory card at the same time.2 points

Not at all, I have been in car crashes in which I wasn’t half as terrified and nervous as today2 points

It's not camera advice I need, it's money for a decent f'kin camera... I'd like a decent DSLR for Christmas if you're feeling generous... I also just discovered that I have somehow managed to loose a load of picturs...they're on here, some are on fessedebouc but they ain't anywhere I can find them on the poota. ?2 points

No, the Edwardian underground toilet photos are on photobucket I think or possibly lost somewhere on one of your old sites, No way was I paying the stupid amount of money Photobucket wanted to access them. There is talk of turning the old toilets into something trendy right now. I lost my key to the locks in our office move in March to our luxury new office. This was specially built for us and we will be leaving it in a few weeks so they can sell the building. I wasn't being clever really, I found one exactly the same whilst having a wee on a green lane a few years ago and managed to google it on some weird website. It was the door and the concrete entrance that looked the same. With the brick built thing, I did wonder if it was a blasting shelter, do they mine coal with explosives ever on opencast or is it too fragile to do it that way?2 points

Why do you think I live just over the border, I'm only just in England. Although my accent will never pass for Welsh2 points

VIEWER WARNING High Rain Content & Visible Muddy Puddles On the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia it is very likely to rain ? for days at a time in the autumn. So you tend to get used to playing in the rain. I have come to love riding through the rainforest in the rain, with the low clouds and the mist hanging in the forest, it's magical. ?? On this ride we just putter about in the forest and stop by Phare Lake to enjoy the view. ?2 points

I'm sure deep down, considering the amount of time he spends in Wales and all the friends he's got there, he must be fucking gutted he was born on the wrong side of the bridge! I know I'd be fucking gutted if I'd been!1 point
