Public Holiday today in Spain....Día de los Muertos....The Day of the Dead! Though we always think of it as "The Day we Dodged the Bullet". It also marks 15 years to the day since we got here, so it was only right to celebrate the occasion with a bit of Styling and Profiling. All done within the perimeters of this area of course......as per the latest Covid directives! What you see in the pics and vid is not some obscure farm track, it's actually the only direct "road" that connects two towns!3 points

Those are great looking roads ? I don't get this 'day of the dead' thing. My mother-in-law (being Italian) is all over it , but I just don't get it. It's sooooooooo bloody negative, all that wailing and moaning . It get's on my nerves to be honest, why not celebrate people who have passed on in a positive way ?2 points

Was it the one where we did the North Wales ‘short cut?’ ?? With my post rally hangover speeds in the rain 30mph seems a bit high. ??2 points

All Saints Day in Spain today.......so I took a run up the remote mountain road that leads to Santiago de la Espada. I was able to get about 25 miles before I had to turn back, or I'd have gone outside the perimeters of this area. And there are restrictions in place now. This is quite a challenging road as the surface is pretty bad in most places, there's continual hairpin bends, and a drop of a few hundred feet at the sides in various places. There's also wild deer and wild boar roaming all over the place, and the deer have a tendency to leap from banks at the side of the road straight into your path. There's no phone coverage either, and if you do encounter another vehicle it'll probably be coming at you on the wrong side of the road in one of the many hairpin bends. So this really isn't an area to bin it......because you're on your own! You go over the edge and nobody's ever going to know. I think every bike I've had in Spain has done this road......some better than others obviously. But none of them have done it as easily as this Beemer! It really is an eye-opener......not because anything about it is particularly special, it's more a case of it being so well balanced and just so easy to ride. Lyn has ridden this road back in 2007.......remember it @KAYZ1? So here we go......just a short vid but you'll get the idea.1 point

And they're optimised right down now to miminise file size! The pics you see are about 600kb.......but the originals are 25MB+. So you can imagine how sharp the originals are.1 point

I borrowed a DSLR from a friend a while back and really enjoyed using it and got some stunning photos with a little bit of pre planning and thought. But don't worry, I won't be getting one anytime soon. I do agree with Pedro's comment about the pain in the arse of hauling around a big camera and my current one just fits in my pocket. I use the phone for navigation and it winds me up having to get it out from it's mount every time I want to take a pic, so I still prefer using the camera. I might look at a higher res compact over the next few months though, or maybe some post production software so's I can tweak the pics on the putor.1 point

I'm sure deep down, considering the amount of time he spends in Wales and all the friends he's got there, he must be fucking gutted he was born on the wrong side of the bridge! I know I'd be fucking gutted if I'd been!1 point

I was going to say yes but then i thought about Bob and thought not all, then i thought about the amount of time he spends in Wales on his bike he's practically welsh so then i thought yes again1 point
