I am inclined to create a strict "no neon lighting" policy, but that would possibly be viewed as too authoritarian5 points

Right Said Fred have hit out at the latest lockdown but tell Sky News they are not COVID deniers and that their position has been "grossly misunderstood". What I want to know is what Kajagoogoo have to say about the efficacy of the vaccines under development? And I obviously won't be forming an opinion until the press statement from Status Quo.4 points

We are only on council lockdown from 1PM on weekends, Pete, so tomorrow morning I'll go for a ride on my bike, make it home before lunch and then maybe wash it in the afternoon (Pete's washing machine smilie)3 points

So, peoples, this month I'll adjust dates, you can submit pictures taken from October 26th (date of last month's vote) until the 30th November. On the 01st December I'll start a vote and we'll have a winner by the 03rd. So from now on I think it'll make more sense to submit pictures taken on that same month, with the winner decided on the 03rd of the current month. You have until the end of the month to submit a kick-ass picture of your bike taken while on a ride on this period. Scenery is important, bike is important, everything is important! Let the games begin...2 points

There are travel "suggestions" here, don't go out unless you have to kind of thing. You can "play" outside but keep it local and no groups. Not really a concern as we just go into the forest and don't play well with others anyways. ? So today we enjoyed a nice ride in the misty forest. Stopped at a waterfall for my BOTM pic and Bagheera wanted to take a shower.....? Plan to ride around tomorrow and Sunday as well as work on my next YouTube video "First Snow"2 points

You can't leave home except to work, exercise or walk dogs. What is enforced is traffic between councils. This goes for almost all regions, and has been going for a week now. This is in place from 11PM to 5AM on weekdays, and from 1PM to 5AM on weekends.2 points

It's getting more serious here as well, more so where most of my clients are than in the rest of the country, poor bastards are getting the worst of it, most of them have at least a couple of employees at home sick or because their wives are sick. A couple I know, clients of mine, were both sick at the same time, it's no joke. I went to collect a payment today, got out of the car into the guy's (actually a friend, not many of those at work) office and back into the car like I was doing a space walk at the International Space Station.2 points

I'm charging my phone on the bike as i use it for off road navigation and the battery just smooths things out at tick over. I also think the capacitor is duff on the reg/rec as the side and tail light flicker like hell at tick over, i picked a new capacitor up this week its one of my jobs on the weekend to change it.2 points

A couple of friends of mine, (hard to believe I have more than one, I know), and I are planning a Western USA trip for this summer. As of now, we're not sure if we'll do a one week or two week trip - that'll be decided later. Anyway, here are the basics we're thinking of.... 6 Day Option Day Destination Mileage 1 Gunnison, Montrose, Ouray 300 2 Ouray, Durango, Monticello, Bedrock Grand Junction 370 3 Grand Jct, Moab, Blanding, Torrey, UT 350 4 Torrey , Bryce Canyon, Zion, St. George 275 5 St. George, Grand Canyon, Durango 479 6 Durango, Creede, Gunnison, Bailey 360 Total 2,134 12 Day Option Day Destination Mileage 1 Bailey to Ogden, Utah 551 2 Ogden to Reno, NV 595 3 Reno, Tahoe, Shelter Cove, CA 491 4 Local, Redwood, Avenue of the Giants 100 5 Shelter Cove to Klamath 391 6 Klamath to Bend, OR 413 7 Bend, OR to Missoula, MT 591 8 Missoula to Red Lodge, MT 371 9 Red Lodge to Cody (add Yellowstone?) 114 10 Cody to Saratoga, WY 371 11 Saratoga to RMNP, Black Hawk 275 12 Black Hawk, Mt Evans, Bailey 125 Total 4,388 We could add in a day or two for a day off the bikes in Shelter Cove or Red Lodge - always a good idea on long-ish trips to have a schedule day off for laundry, beer drinking or whatever. The routes aren't carved in stone at all and we can change to visit places that anyone wants to visit. Once we get the four riders sorted out, we'll can then firm up the destinations. We currently have three riders and need a fourth as it makes splitting hotel rooms a lot easier and cheaper. We're not against 6 riders either should more want to come. But it's like herding cats when add many more than 4. Costs: Hotel rooms would run around $50 per person per night. Bike rental would be around $175 per day or less - depending on the bike you hire. Fuel is about $2.25 USD per gallon - so roughly $250 for the long route or half that for the short. Food is cheap in the USA and I usually spend more on beers than I do food, but figure $20 a day ort slightly more if ya like steaks and like to drink. So just putting this out there to see if anyone would want to come along. Fire away with any questions / comments ya might have. These tours cost around $5,000 plus bike hire with a tour company - so this is well below that cost.1 point

Only big to Europeans. Those miles are very easily done in a 8 hour day here. Crossing the desert areas you can do 600 miles in 7 hours easily. It looks like a lot but it isn't.1 point

You think riding is exciting? Let’s try sitting in the back seat and see the bike steering you past slower traffic! Now that takes balls!1 point

@XTreme seems to have missed the point of this thread, next he’ll be taking his bike’s dials and taking a picture with them from his couch1 point

Only at night on weekdays, and afternoons on weekends. But yes. Thing is, there are a lot of exceptions here in Portugal, you can walk your dogs, exercise, go to work, visit relatives in need of help, etc, even travel during lockdown if you have a letter from your employer stating you're working.1 point

This weekend we're going to find out what changes they're going to make to the current restrictions here. I suspect it's going to get stricter.......and just a matter of time before they incarcerate me in the house again. No idea what I'm going to do then! I can't even launch a bike forum cos I did that the last time!1 point

Have I ever mentioned this bike is fucking brilliant? I did have a vid from today but I couldn't publish it cos it's just full of motoring infractions from start to finish. Frankly I'm amazed I can maintain that same level of consistency for nearly 50 years!1 point
