Some for you here Pete, my old BMW650GS Dakar. When i got it it was about 10 months old and covered in Touratech farkles , I catalogued them and it was over £1000 worth. I took most of it off and sold it. As standard it looked like this......... I junked the tyres for some knobblies and sourced a complete set of bodywork (bit by bit) and then sprayed it in Ford Atlantic blue . The o/e panels were put in the loft to keep them tidy. Here's a photo with my mates Ford Escort rally stage car........ Then I used it for the purpose intended......... I also rode it to the Pyrenees, did a two day navigational rally on trails and then rode it back home. It averaged 71mpg for the whole trip On the way home I just had to get a photo when I spotted the sign to this village, I wonder who lives there ?5 points

Love the looks of that bike, very adventury.... ? BUT WAIT, you have a friend with a Ford Escort rally stage car........I want friends like that. That car is gorgeous......WOW, not my colour, but nice car. ? I'll never understand why rally cars are not more popular in Canada, we have the terrain.....all a bunch of 4x4 rock crawling freaks here. Great, let's spend the day going .5km down the river bed over rocks the size of small cars.....?4 points

You might like this. The first bloke I ever sat next to when i started work at the council was a big scary skinhead. He ended up as our big boss and is now running another council somewhere. He was in a band called the 4 Skins. This is their version of Merry Christmas3 points

We had one like that today. i said at the start of the ride to everyone don't be scared of the water its easier to ride through than go around in some places. so later on i was riding behind this guy approaching a puddle he decides to ride up the bank and go around it, but stalled the bike on top of the bank it stopped dead and he fell into the puddle which was about a foot deep he was doing the dying fly on his back trying to get up and then rolled over onto his front he was drenched and retired from the ride early2 points

We got the bearings off, but the race is stuck. Due to the bottom seal there isn't enough room to get something wedged in there to bang up the race. ? We "had" all the household tools needed to do the cutting but we sold them during phase one of "new life adventure". Now with phase two all new tools need to be carried on the bike in case this happens while travelling. So we wait for the fancy tools and hope for the best as my bike is next. ?2 points

And if you go under @Sir Fallsalot will be on hand to give you mouth to mouth Clive. So maybe it would be better not to go under!1 point

One of my favourite river crossings, I've had to fish a KTM 990 out of there and that was after we showed him the line to take. He thought we were taking the piss, so he went his own way and guess what happened1 point

How old was this guy.......and what was he riding? And it sounds like you need to take @Clive on one of your expeditions......I'm sure he'd be well up for riding across rivers!1 point

I almost succeeded in doing that today poor old fucker dropped his bike in a freezing cold river, i had to wade in knee deep to fish him out i thought my feet were going to drop off on the ride home so god knows how cold he was1 point

Africa Twins RD07 with knobbies for the win! Guy with eyes painted on his buttocks for the loose. The socks make it worse. Why would you post that on the internet?1 point

Oddly enough i seem to remember being at a rally where that guy had those eyes tattooed on but i didn't look into them honest LOL1 point

Good to hear, I'm clueless on this sort of stuff. Someone said that if anything goes wrong and I lose touch and I reconnect it will carry on where it left off. I'm just letting it run right now on my work lap top. If it goes tits up I'll get paid to start again, so it's not all bad!! It was a bike rally on the Isle of Wight run by an ex bomb disposal transvestite, that Welshman was wearing one of the milder costumes, better to look at him than some of the other sights.1 point

Unusual color choice, but it works really well. I once knew a guy that used to ride 1150 GSs, he's carry the same odometer, body and seats from bike to bike, slap some new grips on and they look like new. Not saying he was a very ethical guy, though .0 points
