HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! ? As 2020 comes to an end I think everyone is looking forward to 2021. For myself, 2020 will be remembered for many things, but mostly as the year motorcycles came back into my life. This past year has been full of fun adventures and all thanks to a motorcycle. With a short flash back to remember the summer and warm wishes of good health and adventures for 2021, I am looking forward to a new year! ? Safe Travels Everyone! ?️??3 points

I wouldn't be online if it wasn't for this place, gave up on participating on other forums, and deleted facebook a long time ago.3 points

@Tym has been on every forum I've had starting from BikeZone in 2002........so he's always a permanent fixture! I think he's been banned from most of the others......god knows how many times from ButtRider! I don't know how it's taken you so long to find us......because you're a perfect fit being a strange woman! But don't worry......this place will stay. As I've said it costs virtually nothing to run, and the small amount I do pay I can claim back in my Taxes. So we ain't going anywhere Michelle!3 points

You seen this @Grasshopper's Ride? Tym goes on Buttrider......behaves in an unstable manner......gets banned.....and it's my fault? Have you told Michelle about the time you rode about 1500 miles across the US to shoot somebody from PsychoWorld Forum?2 points

3erd perma ban butt, first one was your fault because normally i would }never{have posted: "the only thing wrong with the BMW GS is with the assholes who ride them"2 points

I have wanted a F750GS for about 6 months now. If I was hitting the open road tomorrow, that would be the bike. But the idea, well today at least, is to have something mainly for the tarmac and keep the Himi for more dirt. I also don't feel fancy enough to own a BMW. ? I'm kind of rough around the edges, not all refined like a BMW......lol. Also the cost of parts, I'm just a poor ass Canadian girl.2 points

Bottom line is we're still going......which I honestly didn't think would happen once Lockdown ended!2 points

At least you got out! I delivered some cards about the place about a week ago and that - hardly a photo opportunity. ?2 points

On Xmas Day when others sit around swigging booze and puking their guts up all over themselves.......that's the time for the Rugged Individualists in our midst to stand up and be counted. So in hypothermic temperatures of 9c, and with grey skies overhead......the Stealth Beemer burst into life! And 48bhp of raw Austrian power was unleashed onto an unsuspecting world! It then undertook a perilous journey consisting of crossing continents and navigating unwelcoming environments of remote, brutal terrain! And of course some abandoned shit was encountered to add that air of suspense. Cos you never know where any of those deranged psycho killers could be lurking! So without further ado, let there be Rugged Individualism........and there was Rugged Individualism!2 points

They do look sweet, but do you think that would be a smooth bike for road trips?2 points

Sounds like some of you would be better off with a BOT'couple of days i get to ride a month...competition.2 points

I used to like having a certerstand on the KLR cause she looked better sitting still standing straight up.2 points

The DR650 is a dream bike in many ways, the problem is I need to modify it out of the showroom in order to mount the thing...? I'm thinking, keep the Himi for my dirt pig and just pretend it's like my old cars, one day you ride, two weeks you fix and repeat. So now I am thinking of something for the tarmac, something smooth and stylish for coastal highway rides. This has my attention right now.....?. Maybe it's the fancy coffees kick'n in.....2 points

I know a Brit who's over there at the moment in his motorhome, he's stuck over there as he can't get a ferry back. He texted me, I think he was looking for some sympathy. He got fuck all sympathy from me, it's wankers like him that are spreading this shit about. You have my permission to slash his tyres if you spot him2 points

I see what you mean Michelle.......I'm sort of the Ringmaster in an online freak show? I probably was to some extent in the early 2000's.......we really had some freaks then! Conspiracy nutjobs, white supremacists, holocaust deniers, dope heads, wannabe gangsters, compulsive liars, numerous "Walter Mitty" types, sadomasochist perverts, trolls, internet tough guys, guys who were just thick as shit......and even one guy who won MOTY and TOTY in the same year and then went completely insane! Totally lost his mind! Pity you weren't around back then.....they were great times! Forum Wars right across the internet! It was the Golden Era! What you say @Tym?1 point
-
Well now let's look at this, maybe we are looking at this the wrong way. MAYBE - YOU are a bad influence on us simple minded folk? ? Tym makes crazy statements and look at me this past year, I'm exposing my socks to the world and talking to men with hairy bottoms on boats. ??. Which I only did because of your forum.....hmmmmmmm1 point

And I think a bike being on a centre stand looks too posed for the photo rather than a shot taken naturally!1 point

The Tracer is a bit out of my price range, but very nice. Trying to keep it at around $10,000CAD The MT-07 is nice.... https://www.yamaha-motor.ca/en/road/motorcycle/sport/2021-mt-07/2021-MT07AM I had a Honda and loved it, but it was an 80's bike. The new Honda's seem to lack soul.1 point

Not the ideal thing......but if @Grasshopper's Ride wants more road potential and can lose a degree of offroad capability then the F/G650GS is the way to go. It also has a very low seat!1 point

A lot of them were just construction stopped midway and never lived in. In 2008 you had complete neighbourhoods with hundreds of nice homes in construction and everything stopped and left to fade away in a blaze of bankruptcy. Back then it was easy to spot them from the motorway on the outskirts of big cities. The bubble just burst.1 point
