Happy New Year everybody! Now brace yourselves for another year of Hell! But it is character building apparently!3 points

Feeling quite depressed in the morning, even with Sofia's and the puppies' best efforts to cheer me up. After lunch went for a end of year ride... Might look like an adventure, but this is right at the end of a short dirt road that led to a fort, turns out it was closed so I took this picture as I was changing the gopro's position. Also, this is just before it started to rain, and then later on really rain, all on video so I'll see how it turns out.3 points

Last time I tried to buy a number plate for the car it was such a drawn out process that I told them to keep it after they made it when they asked for a passport as well as my log book and driving licene before letting me pay for it. Putting a GB sticker on is a walk in the park in comparison. They bring in a law to supposedly stop people making false number plates and the only people it will affect is the people getting legitimate plates, do they think villains planning a robbery or a kidnapping use Halfords for false plates??. As for the rest, getting a green card is not difficult if required, I had no problem getting one for Morocco and I've hired bikes in Turkey using a paper UK driving licence and they aren't even in the EU.3 points

Thanks, Pete. Hi guys, newbie here. I'm currently bikeless, having had to sell my beloved Speed Triple when I moved to the South of France recently. Being of the older persuasion, I'm looking at something more sensible, but with some mild off-road capability, as there is a forest with a network of fire tracks near our new home, which I'd like to explore. For those that don't know me, I've ridden bikes for 45 years now and feel like a fish out of water currently! Anyway, enough waffling. Looking forward to conversing and maybe meeting up with you guys as things improve Cheers, Tango3 points

Anyone else here a fan of the Dakar Rally? I always love watching it. Doesn't matter which category, they are all fun. ? This year they have a new Classics section, that would be awesome to watch them all roll out.2 points

and made a video: At the end, while there is a bit of an @XTreme moment happening, Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana" was actually playing in my Spotify in my helmet I visited that convent twice in two weeks, once with great weather and no camera battery, and this time with camera filming but the weather like you see here.2 points

I debated internally if I should, still wet streets before making it to Sofia's garage, and the bike was hardly properly clean. Still more presentable than the muddy mess it was before washing, though. Went on a tour of Ericeira's cobbled streets and blue and white houses just for you but ran out of battery on the camera just exiting the washing station. I might invest in a more modern GoPro with stabilization and better batteries if I get into this.2 points

They sure did, and believe me I enjoyed those days, now I don't know what the hell people are talking about most of the time. I just roll with the flow now. Everything is so upside down. BUT damn it, I'm just here to watch some freaks get dusty......?2 points

Absolutely true! @Tym was a completely sane, well balanced individual till he came under my Svengali type influence back in 2002. Then he changed into.......2 points

I got half drooled on, half bullied, still terrifying at the time If the borders are open and it's all good, we'll make a weekend of it in 2021.1 point

Next year it´ll all be better and we'll meet for a ride, Pete. Maybe not, but it doesn't help the mood at all if we're pessimistic.1 point

Pension due soon though Tym! You can start stockpiling KLR motors ready for the inevitable detonation!1 point

The Saudi's got their fingers in everything now haven't they.......they had the Joshua vs Ruiz rematch there earlier last year too. Paid ridiculous money to get it there as I understand it.1 point

I know, I know.....I got over that a few years ago. I just think the whole thing is crazy silly fun. What people are willing to put themselves through never stops amusing me and the vehicles are cool! So there grumpy Sally ?1 point

Not much snow where I am, it’s all west and north, I’m too close to the coast for all that.1 point

Is access into Wales blocked off again? How surreal would it be if I turned up at the Severn Bridge (with my accent) and they refused to let me in cos I couldn't prove that I lived there?1 point

If it's the same as here, it is a crossing celebrating the LGBT people. I may have missed some letters of there, can't remember it exactly.1 point

Best month so far I reckon, some great photos. It was a hard choice but in the end I'm going for Fred's dog as I love riding in snow.1 point

I suspect that 2021 will start off worse than 2020 ended up but I'm sure it will get a lot better. Will it ever be the same as it was before ? that's another thing entirely. I suspect that the brexit shit is going to ruin my trips to europe.1 point

Welcome Bob from another Bob ? I just had a look at your location, you're not that far from the Pyrenees. There should be heeps of good stuff to ride around there if you go for a dual-sport type of bike.1 point

OK.....you gave a bird one in the dark on top of the bins behind the chippy and you claimed to be your mate Fred cos she fancied him? Hey.....we've all done it! No shame in that!1 point

As we speak, the Humanoids are probably staggering round the streets back there! What you say @Mawsley?1 point

@Tango Great to see you Bob! @Clive and @Mawsley........look who's turned up now! For the rest of you, I've known Bob for some years through another forum.......he's a Brit (and yet another oldie) who recently escaped to France. @MooN.......Bob will need some advice from you about buying a bike in France at some point. And it's OK, I haven't mentioned what you are! Hopefully @Buckster doesn't let it slip!1 point

You got to go for a short ride, so that is a plus. ? I am waiting on parts again, but I am watching the parts fly across the world. It's like Hitchcocks Motorcycles knew what happened and rushed the shipping for me. I just want to go for a ride and the weather is good too. OK, I'm sad to now. So much for helping cheer you up. ?1 point
