That's because you went to borstal The school i went to had everything. 400m running track, a rugby and football pitch, tennis courts, permanent area for Long jump, high jump cricket court an area set out for javelin discus and hammer throwing. Indoors there were badminton courts multi gym climbing apparatus and i'm sure there is some things i cant remember but never used any of it i hated games i used to accept the dap across the arse for not bringing my gym kit and then me and my mate used to go shooting with his air gun along the Taf on the way home as games was the last two lessons of the day5 points

With all the repairs now done to Bagheera, we were able to get out for a ride today, our first in a few weeks and the first of 2021. The sun also came out for the first time, in what feels like weeks. I was a happy Grasshopper. ?? Went by the local farms and the cows were out. Spent some time in the forest. I wasn't going to with my fresh bearings, I was going to "take it easy", but I couldn't resist. Then I went by an area that had a forest fire go through a year ago, the fire just carved out a path. There were some big puddles after all the rain we have had. Heading home I passed lots of locals also out having fun. Great place to live and a lovely first ride of 2021 for Bagheera and the Grasshopper! ?4 points

I did proper fuck all today according to my wife. I cleaned the bike, went and bought some wood for the log burner, propane for the central heating and then sat down and watched some TV. I also took the dogs out walking twice today but because she came with me that doesn’t count apparently? I’d say that’s a pretty full day. I don’t plan on doing that much tomorrow as it’s a Sunday. ?4 points

He is not kidding @Richzx6r.....BEWARE When I came to this place I was a pleasant Canadian girl that liked flowers and singing in the rain. ? NOW, after being here for almost a year, it has gone downhill quickly. All of a sudden I'm talking to hairy men on boats and considered showing my bum to the world. We have people here that hang motorcycles in trees, but won't get them dirty. It just gets out of hand. THIS IS NO JOKE, consider yourself warned. ?? (It's all Pete's fault, that's one theory)4 points

At my school we only had enough craft teachers to do third of a year metal work/woodwork/art. Not enough text books for one each, and those we did have had the covers falling off or pages missing. One pad when you played cricket, you made sure you kept the unprotected leg well out of the way, I think we had two bats though. The school field did have grass.....and lots of mud, so much mud. The running track was paint on grass, that and two goal posts was the sum total of stuff out there. You can see my school on the big screen. My music classroom was in Made in Dagenham. They must have rented it for filming on the cheap as it was demolished a while afterwards. We had a mad scary dwarf as our music teacher, you shit yourself if he looked in your direction. The dreaded Mr Thacker! I remember telling my dad about how scary he was (my dad was one of the school caretakers) and he laughed and said, do you mean little Lionel?4 points

Today's work was decent; I work one day a week at the school to help out in the maintenance department. Today we re-roofed one of the concession stands at the football field after the wind blew the roof off, (we have lots of 75-100 mph winds up here in the winter). It was a really cheap style of roofing as well. Sunny and 20F (-7C) out so it wasn't too bad....4 points

Learn to spell right why, how come i went from riding an Enduro, which i liked Enduros are cool. To riding a Dual sport in the early 2000's...thank doG that was shortlived and now everything says Adventure on it, so i had an idea. Pete should make up stickers...that only say motorcycles.net. And everywhere the corporate world puts the word Adventure on a product, viola, slap on the sticker, advert for this place!3 points

This is a first.......and you won't see shit like this on ButtRider that's for sure! Tell 'em @Tym OK here we go......on the road from Chirivel to Oria......destination Albox! And here is Albox in the province of Almeria......the town that has no drains in the streets. Don't ask.....this is Spain! The first Brit shop......where we usually get teabags in bulk. Had to make do with 4 boxes of 300 for the time being. Stocks were pretty much depleted and you can guess why. But I can't discuss that particular topic as I'm as subject to the same rules as everybody else. Then onto the next Brit shop.......and couldn't park cos the place was full of fucking twats! So it was revert to the old Rep's trick of double parking with hazards on and boot open. Unloading you see. As you all know I'm not temperamentally suited to walking! And here's the shop...... Amazingly we met a Welsh woman in there........it's very rare to see other Welsh outside Wales. She was from Cardiff funnily enough.......and I was really surprised she didn't tell me to "Fuck off back to Swansea you Jack bastard!" That's a first! Anyway......we did a quick Supermarket Sweep in there and off we went again......back into Granada province. It was 14C in Albox......yet only 4C where we live! You gotta be hard to survive where I live......just getting out of bed is Rugged Individualism!3 points

Some of you may be surprised by all the new members coming in all of a sudden.......and so am I actually. To cut a long story short, there was a "situation" on another forum about a week or so ago that occurred due to a PM from a Moderator.............. @Six30 was also implicated in it as well as me. Now you see I'm in an awkward position because of my involvement with this place......it just wouldn't be ethical for me to go into any great detail surrounding my departure after being a member there since 2013. All I will say is that me and Six were not guilty in any way of breaking any rules or behaving in a disruptive manner. Now that is unusual in Six's case, but not in mine. It's just not right of me to go into somebody else's forum (particularly someone I know) and cause problems. I don't do it......never have. After some discussion in the PM (all done in a pleasant manner) I decided not to continue posting there. I informed the Moderator of this and wished them well for the future. It's not the end of the world....no big drama! It's like you visit a pub for a while and then decide to go somewhere else. I think all the new ones who've come here still post there, and that's fine. My issue isn't their issue.......and I encourage them to continue supporting the other place. It's a good forum after all.....it's just not for me any more.3 points

That's damn right, the last shit i had could be classed as an adventure it has no meaning to me now other than if it has the word adventure on it it usually means it cost more to buy3 points

With the newer GoPro cameras, say 7 and on, they have amazing stabilization in them. With my thumper on the gravel roads they work really well, watchable footage, I think. I don't ever get wind noise on the gravel, due to lower speeds and on the highway it depends on the placement.2 points

No mullet back then having hair meant i could have any hair style my heart desired so i had a buzz cut, i thought it was cool and the teachers hated it, a little shorter and i would have been expelled until it grew back how stupid was that. Little did i know i was preparing myself for my future hair style2 points

I just remembered because i had so many daps across the arse for missing games. I paid the school a visit one evening after leaving and done a few laps of the running track on my DT175 as payback probably the only time i enjoyed going to school2 points

Hi Rich.....good to see you! For the rest of you......Rich is another friend of mine from another forum! Well it's different here.....Politics is taboo here for obvious reasons cos you know where that ends up. There's no swear filter and there's zero political correctness. @Swagman and @Clive (who was Fred elsewhere) could probably give you a better analysis than me.......cos I'm used to how this place (and it's predecessors) have been. @Buckster.......will be along at some point to call you a Cunt, but that's quite normal behaviour for him. And @BusBoy may well show you his ass if he takes a shine to you.2 points

The whole "Adventure" thing is the cleverest marketing ploy ever......it's just riding a bike like it always was. Adventure used to mean sailing the Atlantic or climbing Everest.......now it's going into a BMW dealer with a thick wallet. I often wonder where BMW in particular, and the rest of the manufacturers to varying degrees, would be now without The Long Way Round saga.2 points

It's a big field for 8 man football (it's what smaller schools here play). No viewing stands as no one ever goes to the games, etc. Some years they don't even have a team as they can't get enough kids to play, The whole team only has 10 players on it (regular school have 40+ players per team). But it is a nice field. Fake grass as regular grass doesn't grow up here.2 points
