It was a lovely sunny day today (Friday) and so I got Bagheera out and about. Charlotte has been getting all the love this past week. I plan on riding her tomorrow (Saturday). ? Having two bikes is like having your cake and eating it too, so they say... I just eat the cake if I want the cake, but not too much cake... I don't really like cake anymore, honestly, the cake can just piss off. ? Two bikes just rocks. ? I feel very fortunate, I better watch it or I will be having too much fun soon.6 points

Stop feckin moaning, at least you're allowed to ride your bike. For us we have to make up some spurious story about going for a pint of milk or similar4 points

What can we learn from this? Never fuck with a Canadian thread just because everyone thinks they are always nice and are pushovers, they can and will kick your arse! Consider yours with a foot in it, butt, based on your posts, DA would be proud you took a whole foot.4 points

It would seem while we have the weather and the restrictions still allow we are are riding every Wednesday. now last Wednesday I managed to go round a roundabout the wrong way this week I managed to lose the group and get totally lost, The meeting place was a petrol station just outside the town of Sax which is around 92 km from my home, had to be there by 10am so an early start, and this time I left filling up the tank till I arrived at the meeting point. this proved not to be my best decision of the day as with over 40km to go the fuel light was flashing like mad at me and when I did fill her up she took just over 20 litres on a 23 litre tank, cutting it close. On the trip to the petrol station I used my SJ8 pro action cam as I had been having trouble with the sound from it and if you watch the vid I still was, I think I have sorted it out now along with the frame rate and sharpness. We set off in pairs as per the restrictions here and about half way to the destination while going through a town I noticed a police car so I hung back so as not to give the impression we were all travelling together, the problem was there was a roundabout and two junctions where I had no idea which way they had gone as I had lost sight of them, I was then stopped by two very nice policemen on motorbikes to have a little chat there job was to try and talk to bikers and just calm them down a bit as there had been too many incidents on the mountains roads since the weather had improved. The only thing I could do was to put in the destination in the sat nav and try to catch up with the other three which I did I waited just outside Castell de Castells on the CV709 and 30 minutes later they turned up, we then made our way to a rest stop which looked remarkably like a closed camp site, From that point on I used my go-pro which now seems to be behaving itself.....Roll on next Wednesday god knows what's going to go wrong then!! 1000km clocked p in 3 weeks so far, bike is in for its annual service in a weeks time better be back by Wednesday....Just did a google search and the campsite is "Zona Recreativa El Castellet" looks like its been closed for a while??3 points

Same thing happens here sometimes, more in the countryside where it's more normal for people to have hunting weapons. Usually it's older people who are fed up with their neighbors who keep throwing cut grass onto their side of the field or some such thing, and out comes the shotgun3 points

This reminded me of this, many years ago i was involved with the installation of a small wind turbine to help power some remote containers to transmit telemetry from the elan valley to the control hub 45 miles south as the crow fly's, it was supposed to be a state of the art wind turbine. I was called back up there a few months later as they were having problems with a diesel generator, when i asked how the wind turbine was doing they said it failed in the first two weeks as the propeller blades blew off, they found one of them about half a mile away3 points

They have trouble enough with the way you are supposed to go around roundabouts or use the correct lane on the road, if Europe starts putting on different words on traffic signs it would be carnage. Buses full with children and nuns would crash, do you want that?3 points

I'm so confused... I think I missed how this started cuz I haven't got a clue what you lot are going on about. And now that I've typed that I realize I don't really want to know!3 points

I'll be voicing for @Bruce when I say "Fuck Y'all" to your fuel economy comments. A boat is nothing like a 2 stroke from the 70's. Again, fuck y'all ! BBQ's and women! That's where it's at!2 points

Britain was just as bad, my home town thrived on the proceeds of the slave trade. It's just a shame that we still have to keep apologising for it now over 300 years later.2 points

Got to fit a new heater element to the washing machine this morn if I want to get my work stuff clean. Fingers crossed it haven't taken the control board with it when it shorted like the 2 year old Bosch did. Used to love fitting German made parts but it seems even Bosch are now getting stuff made of chinesseim.2 points

I found it strange as well, at the bottom of my road they have the word STOP painted on the junction and not Detener, I have asked the locals and no-one can give me an answer????2 points

I'll have to wait until covid is under control and they open the borders again but I'm thinking of riding one of my favorite trip route's. Take off East from Vancouver through BC into Alberta then head South down into Montana and follow the Rocky mountains through Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and then cross over California to the pacific ocean and ride up the west coast through California, Oregon and Washington back to Vancouver.2 points

No.....it's a bloke! When he started with her he was male....now he/she is female. And I knew it was a bloke all along Bruce......I threw that in to see who I'd catch. I didn't expect it to be you though.2 points
-
Could well have been Bruce then? After all he does seem to have a bit of difficulty identifying who's male and who's female.2 points

well that's reassuring at least, I was fairly sure it wasn't me.2 points

Looks like tomorrow will be my only chance to get out......though it is going to be a bit windy apparently. Can't go far because we still have a perimetral lockdown in place......which I think is a bit harsh considering there's only been 152 cases in the last 14 days. But that's what it is, and over here these measures are strictly enforced......so just got to make the best of it! What you guys got planned?1 point
