Fred's byway tale reminds me an incident back in the day. We were on an evening trail ride in the summer and coming down the last lane as it had just got dark. We rode through the ford and then turned a corner to find a Ford Sierra parked in the lane, there was no way we could get by it. As it was a warm evening you tell the windows were open by the 'noise' (even with our helmets on) coming from the occupants. There were now six riders on their bikes discussing what to do when we observed 'it', a skinny little bum bobbing up and down Judging by the increased noise we knew that it was not long to the end of the performance and so we waited until it went quiet and then in unison we put our lights on and sounded our horns, and clapped and whistled. I've never see a Ford Sierra move so bloody fast as that one did out of that lane and back onto the road5 points

This is one of those times we don’t want a picture. What you wear on the weekend is your own business.4 points

When i had my reliant robin me and the wife, girlfriend back then nipped up the mountain for "it" i reversed along the old byway and up a bank a bit as i was having battery trouble and needed to make sure i stopped where i could bump start it, when we were in the middle of "it" a pair of headlights appeared and stopped with them shining in through the windscreen i thought what the fuck is this idiot up to and then i realised i hadn't reversed back far enough and had blocked the track so i had to climb into the drivers seat bollock naked to move the car and when i turned the key there was only the dreaded CLICK. I then had to shout out the window for him to reverse back enough so i could bump start it, got it going and reversed back out of the way, as he went passed i noticed it was the same 343 volvo my old man had then i notice the number plate it was him oh fuck i thought that killed "it" and i headed home, but instead of thinking it may have been stolen all i could think going home was what the fuck was he doing on top of that mountain at midnight, when i pulled up the old mans car was there but when i checked the registration number his was MUH41X and the one i saw was MUH42X one of few number plates i can still remember3 points

@Grasshopper's Ride has recommended that we up our game a bit with the marketing and promotion on Facebutt. I'm just sticking a link in and that's it.....and we don't seem to be attracting much attention. So our resident strange woman recommended we personalise it more with shots of bikes....and if possible riders. So I thought let's start with her and market it towards the Ladies initially. Hopefully she can come up with some shots of her out on the bike to inspire other women to check us out. But we need some clickbait to go with it! And who better than our very own poor man's Dan Walsh @Mawsley? He could deploy a few Oscar Wilde turns of phrase to really get the hook in! So......what do you lot reckon?2 points

Yesterday I took it all apart again. The bolt that I had available and used was a slot headed machine screw. The original bolt was a Hex head so There was on hex head bolt and one slot headed machine screw in there and though out of sight, it Irked me, so I got a couple of 8x70 A2 stainless bolts and a couple of 8x50 of the same, a couple of stainless washers and as I had some spare time wednesday afternoon I removed the offending bolt and tried the 8x50, which was too short, and the 8x 70 was too long. I cut down the 8x70 to make and 8x60 and fitted that, with it's washer. I then realised that my 8 mmbol has a 13mm hex head and the original one has a 12mm hex head. This being the sort of thing that drives me round the twist when I come across it at work, I cut down the 2nd 8x70 and fitted that as well so there are two identical stainless bolts now. @skyrider I work on boats, force of habit means all bolts were greased before being refitted ?2 points

You know, you almost me had me on that one, I was close to having no response to that question, but then..... Firstly, as a lady I never kiss and tell Secondly, in Canada doing "it" as you all refer to "it", in cars is for casuals....all that protection and safety, bah I say Until you have done "it" on a snowmobile in a snowstorm, you are not a real man. You keep that little worm going in those conditions and I'll buy you a beer. ?? Just for the record, I don't play with unsightly things ?2 points

Well, for some of the old guys on here, it might be at that point, things do tend to lose their bounce when they get old. ?2 points

This is the place to share all the new add-on's to your bike, be it shiny pieces or just a fun farkle! ? -------------- Well I have decided to hold off on buying a second bike for now. But Bagheera's birthday is coming up, so I thought I should get him something. He will finally be able to breath properly and he will look good with his new bling. ?1 point

without test riding one, the only criticism is that Fugly front end,,, two other things spring to my mind though, why chain drive and not shaft? Is all the high tech engine widgitry not going to limit potential usage to places ahere high tech widgetry freindly service centres are available? I imagine that ( despite the rhetoric) the actual target market is the US rider who would like a GS but would also like US made and will mostly ride on road, but enjoys the possibility of trails ( and lets face it this is a majority of "adventure bike" riders) and won't ever actually need a bush machanic to fix it with hammer and a screwdriver. Is 5000miles a normal service interval? seems a bit short to me, with most vehicles service intervals increasing with technlogy. My bike is 10000km so 6200miles, my car is 20,000km and wifeys car is 30,000km ( to be fair, that's a diesel, but my point is that I thought the tendance was an increase in service intervals). It'll be interesting to watch and see how it fares, I have rarely seen a bike get so many people excited, either for or against.1 point

I'm thinking the "It" that Tym was initially referring to in this post was the arguments that happen on a road trip between a man and a woman trust you bunch of deviants to turn it into something else, i was just going with the flow1 point

Well I think it is a great idea.....but you know... ? So @XTreme you say "come up with", should I look through my current photos, or do something new? I already have some good pics, just saying. I would think Bagheera would be better to start with as it is a bit more what people expect to see when you say "adventure" bike. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts, well, maybe let me know if they are nice, clean thoughts....lol1 point

number of cases is rising again here. They have put 20 Departements on the surveillance list. it's a fucking no brainer, the departments where it's significantly increased this week are ALL coastal areas and it just so happens that the Parisiens are on holiday.... no one is admitting that link cos that'd cause trouble.1 point

Why yes, it will be in a future video, I have to install a bypass kit that will alter the air injection, that will be the hardest part. With that said, this is a Himalayan I am working on, so expect it to go tits up at any time.1 point
