I have to admit I've been suffering a bit recently with my knee and my back and not feeling to well but last Wednesday I bit the bullet and dragged the bike out for a run in the sun which did help me a forget about the aches and pains for bit LOL, So with the cafes partially open again and with the sun shining a ride was organised by the group I belong to we met up at a cafe just off the A31 near to Castella and then dissapeared into the Valencian countryside for a few hours and 310 kms. I got to admit the riding roads around this region of Spain are absolutely brilliant as a "norm" the A roads are fairly free from traffic and the country roads are almost empty. i apologise for the quality of the video in places as I am still trying to get my head around the settings on my newer Go-pro. I've had to re-position the camera onto the front of the bike as the previous position was on the from of my helmet and you could easily make out the speedo so i was advised to move it LOL.6 points

On Friday we took the CBs for a longer highway run. They both have over 700km on them now, so we thought it would be a good time. This way on the highway involves a lot of corners as it snakes along the Coast. It was cloudy so the highway was super quiet. We rode for about 45 minutes then stopped at a small park to enjoy the view. We tend to get a little carried away with our signs here. So what can I do???? lol There were some great paths and even a bathroom. There was also a nice little picnic area, but so strange, as someone dumped a big pile of sand in the bay trying to make a beach, very odd. The lake was calm and beautiful. A really nice spot to come as many people never seem to stop here. It was a really nice run on the bikes. Truly what they were made for, smooth and curvy highway riding. I realized I still have a lot to learn about Charlotte, but it was a great ride. ??6 points

All sounds very sinister to. Better get those security cams up, not that they’ll keep you safe from anything but be interesting for us to see how your demise comes about ?5 points

Got my new consumer unit fitted and the shower is wired back in. Got to wait for some bits to sort the cooker. When I fitted the shower electrics I used a CU by Proteus, never liked it as it's was made of thin plastic. Didn't even like looking at it. Very happy with this BG metal one. @Sir Fallsalot. How much trouble could I get in with all the security ties off my meter and supply box? We had an electrician form our supplier come out to fit a smart meter. He started pulling everything out only to put it back together again saying he didn't know what he'd do with the extra wires?????? I'm a bloody motor mechanic and I can see what's what. Anyway he left and didn't bother re-sealing everything. Must admit its been handy with me fitting the new CU. Got to deliver a car to Norwich in a bit so prob grab a take out on the way back. Then to soil the little lady a bit as it's mums day. As for my Mum who's in hospital, not sure what to do for her. She's now missed Xmas, her birthday and now Mother day. Told Her I was coming round for her birthday so I think she threw herself to the floor.5 points

Took a lot of wiggling as things didn't line up perfectly, no surprise there, but I managed to get the new exhaust on my Himalayan. Looking forward to going for a ride to hear the new sound and see what all my modification have done. It has been awesome having a bike to ride, while working on another one, you would almost think I enjoy motorcycles or something.... ?4 points

well I thought it was funny... a couple of other shots from 150km this afternoon dodging some nasty storm cells that were wandering around the area this was a biggie, mouving south east and starting to generate it's own wnd patterns in front of it, exactly where I was when I took this shot...ooops... and this was as close as I wanted to get. Don't get me wrong, these are not tropical storms and there's no rotation or other tornado like phenomena but they do generate locally storm force winds and dump huge amounts of water so you really don't want to be in one on a bike. Having stopped for the pic right in the path of it I then legged it, unfortunately home was also right in it's path and I got a bit wet in the last 5km as the leading edge caught up with me. I managed to get in the house about 5 minutes befre it really let loose and boy did it dump some water. For about 10 minutes, the water was standing about 2 inches deep in the yard and you couldn't see across the road. Short lived but intense is how I would describe it. I've just now ( hours later) been out to put the bin out and there's a lot of branches and stuff all over the road and a tree down a bit further along, so it looks like I did right to run away.3 points

For the first time in 5 years I had somebody out with me......my mate Tony the Tools on his 2012 BMW G650GS. And I took him to see the abandoned railway station and old iron bridge in Baul as he'd never been there before! This particular station is OK.....but I could do with more misery, devastation and ruins really. It was a round trip of 150kms! No Beemers blew up.....and Tony managed to avoid falling off the Iron Bridge, because I tipped him off where the broken bits were. Cos if he falls 200 feet to the ground and suffers death and dismemberment how the fuck am I going to get bits fitted on my bike?3 points

Neighbour is back home, or at least someone is moving about in there and their car was outside earlier, thin walls here. Also I'll have you know that she knocked on my door on Christmas Eve and gave me a box of chocolates for being a nice neighbour, which does make me a bit embarrassed about not knowing their names when the police asked yesterday. I wasn't ill after eating the chocs so it wasn't an attempt at getting new neighbours.3 points

Thanks very much ? I appreciate it. Both my partner and I have been in imaging for many years so that helps. I also love photography and filming, as well as editing. My partner does all the music for the videos, which is great as it adds to the whole production nicely. I do have a YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChWHkOm8ZDUQ8XzdHkbM9ng2 points

The stereo system is good on your bike, BMW of course, so I suppose it ought to be. Can't even hear the wind noise over the music. That last picture of the two bikes facing the camera. You know how you see shapes in stuff and once seen it never really goes away? When I look at the headlights I am now only seeing the Polar bear from the foxes glacier mint advert looking over his shoulder and flashing his tea towel holder at me.2 points

Love it. Great pics, some of the greens are luminous and the mill pond waters lovely. Great vid to. Nice shots, well edited together, made it very smooth and easy to watch. I’m beginning to suspect you’re a skilled person! Do you post them elsewhere eg a YouTube? Also could you give @XTreme some music tips for his ? ?2 points

Remember Pete, don't be doing all that perfect Spanishy type talking then falling for the parting comment 'Have a safe trip' and answering 'Thank You' in English like in The Great Escape.2 points

Rationally I understand that, but I am used to being a 1 minute walk from a bakery, or 10 minute walk from a small supermarket. The thought of being stuck because of snow in a house that is 20 or 30 minutes away from groceries when the weather is clear would make me want to create a doomsday pantry1 point

It's going to be about 50F/10C on Friday, most of it will probably be gone by then. But the driveway is clear enough to get out of in the truck....once I uncover the truck?1 point

pirelli scorpion trail II Pete, they're as good as the Michelin anakees on the road, if not better, and fine on dirt or gravel so long as it's dry, at least for my skill level.1 point

@XTreme, now that you have a sidestand puck, are you parking with the wheel pointing outwards because you miss the comic lean? Seems like a nice area to ride around.1 point

Rainy and 10 degrees, a lovely day to ride my Himalayan in the forest. I can go disturb all the little animals with my new exhaust note....well, maybe not, it isn't that loud. Just a nice ride in the forest. Now watch I drop it on the new exhaust.....lol1 point
