Today is cloudy but not raining, yet..... So I think I will take Charlotte for a ride. Then she needs some maintenance already, as I have almost done 1000km. First oil change for her, always an exciting time in a young bike's life. I love the feeling of driving a vehicle for the first time after an oil change, is that weird? Regardless, it's very nice. ? Her chain also needs some attention and I have a new stand that just arrived that I can figure out. Fun times in rural Canada!4 points

Day 3 - cont: Originally, the list of riders for this trips was somewhere around 8 or so. It exploded to 15, by the time we left. Because of that, all the hotel reservations i made had to be revised, or alternates found. In this particular case, Day 3 we were to spend at Alfonsina's, in Gonzaga Bay. Why? Because you wake up to this: or, this but, you have to stay here: Tough life, eh? Well, we had room for 8, so now to find room for the 7 tag alongs. That involved finding an AIRBNB in nearby (90 mins away) San Felipe. You know, the town mentioned above with the teenagers on their fones during lunch, and the dancing harley riders. Turns out, a BNB in San Felipe is an awesome choice, too!! We got this place: for $120/night. Sleeps 12! The views arent quite the same, but they aint half bad, either. We did have to suffer thru our own cooking tho. Alfonsina's serves meals like shrimp, stake, tacos, etc. Our BNB served PopTarts. (but, it cost us $30/nite each, versus $95!) End day 3. Next, we get to start getting really dirty. And, we get to meet the most famous Baja 1000 hero.....4 points

Weather looking pretty good here! Can't say the same for mobility though.....I still can't cross into Almeria to get my tea bags! So I expect to be out Styling and Profiling Saturday and Sunday......with Ride Reports to validate my claims! None of this circumnavigated the globe ten times on a unicycle but got no pictures shit on my watch. So who else is stepping up to the plate to show everybody that we're not a low quality, low rent motorcycling forum as has been alleged?3 points

Fernando, the fellow on the right and owner of the DR is ride story by himself. He had a Multistrada at the beginning of this trip, but didnt make it to the border before the italian stallion started misbehaving. He left us, rode to San Diego (this is Friday) and tried to get it fixed. We wake up on Day 4 to a text that he was in Mexicali and wanted to know where to meet us. The text was old, as he was outside the gate of this complex by the time we went looking for him. He had ridden thru the night, crossing the border at 3am, and was raring to go! The Fernando/cactus story is coming shortly. Followed at the end by the Fernando "I know a short cut in TJ, at the border" debacle.3 points

Well Tym if you find this thread (that alone will be a miracle the way this shit show is run) then you can see we’ve all been hoping it’s done n dusted n you’re on your way home all fine n dandy. Particularly Dandy, I could imagine you rocking dandy. I tried to donate on Bruce’s ball jar labelling charity thread for you but couldn’t see any bank details so I spent it on new gloves I don’t need instead, being kind hearted I knew you wouldn’t mind so Tym thanks for the gift ?3 points

I just got the tip off about some abandoned devastation on the outskirts of the Sierra de Baza! Got the lat and long coordinates so trying to get an idea of how difficult it is to access. By the couple of pics I've seen this could be impressive. If I can get to it without walking.2 points

had planned a lightning trip to Lyon to see bro in Law before we get locked down again but I've had the rug pulled out from under me by shutting down Lyon before us! As per usual, my case doesen't fit in any of the boxes that need to be ticked, there's plenty info on being allowed to visit old people in nursing homes for their mental health, that's fine but he's only 37 and its not a retirement or nursing home. There's provision made for visiting handicapped people who are vulnerable or isolated. he's not isolated or vulnerable cos he's in a home.... there is no mention made of being allowed, or not, to visit a handicapped adult in a medicalised care centre. If I can't do that I'll go riding again before they take that away too.2 points

not tourism itself but the mighty dollar, for the vast majority of people today, money and profit are clearly and openly more important than anything else you'd care to mention. Making more money is paramount, almost any means is acceptable so long as you make more money, it is no longer a means to an end but has become an end in itself,2 points

Oh you’ll get one a minutely detailed yawn fest as every tiny forgotten detail seems new and exciting. I saw a car, it was yellow... and then another one, but that one was blue, I think the blue one was nicer than the yellow one. The yellow one was driven poorly. I’ve done a compare and contrast. See chart of vehicles I saw below. Then there was this stuff wizzing past me, I think it’s called fresh air, I’m not sure it’s been so long since I’ve seen the outside world it might just be wind. I’ll Google it later and let you know what I found. Then there was this yellowy ball in the sky, not sure on that either, might be one of Tyms, would be tricky to retrieve though. You won’t be sorry you asked, its bound to be a blinder ?2 points

This is my problem Bob......X marks my location! The roads you see me on are always rural ones that at some point will cross into another province......Almeria and Murcia fairly regularly, and occasionally Jaen and Albacete. In fact there are places where you'll cross into other provinces without even knowing, because the "Welcome to" signs are only on the main roads. In terms of riding, the majority of the abandoned stuff is in Murcia and Almeria.......and of course, the Brit shops are in Almeria as well. So yes.....I could in principle ride 250kms to Motril on the southern coast. But I don't want to go that sort of distance (particularly all on motorways) just to see the sea! I've seen the sea enough times, it's blue and it's wet, so I ain't going anywhere near that shit!2 points

I called all this world gone to chit in 2003 buddy! Dual CitiZenship is the only way to secure independence from egregious forms of human governance found today. Consider this a shot accross the bow to the one world order, consent to be governed, Denied. [Player mode on.]1 point

nearly as old as some of he codgers on here... its all very medievel, or what is still there today is, Noyers belonged to the duke of Burgundy as far back as 1240 something, before that it was the ancestral seat of the Miles family but the earliest recorded settlement there dates back to the Sequani, a pre romain tribe of Gauls.1 point
