  6. That’s a shame if that’s the case as it’s a good cause and worth attending if only to see the range of bikes. It’s certainly a more relaxed affair out here.........I mean, they let me in for a start. ?

  18. ......way back in 1971.....I was riding a 1968 Vespa SS180. It looked like this......in fact this one recently sold for $7180. That's insane! I looked like a twat on it......and it never got me a blowjob! At the end of 71 I sold it and moved onto bikes.....initially they were shit Brit things, but in August 72 it all changed with a Suzuki 250 Hustler! Which looked like this..... At last I looked cool......and the birds were queueing up to provide blowjobs! It was great! As for the Vespa lifestyle......have peoples' perception changed? Do Vespa riders still look twats, and do they still have no hope of getting a blowjob? I don't know the answer to that.......but I know a man who does! @Mawsley.......give us the lowdown on the Vespa lifestyle in 2021!

  19. ...........fingers crossed it goes ahead this year. I did the ride out from Murcia city the year before last and it was quite a sight to see. Managed to raised a good chunk of money for the charity too so that was a bonus. Charity aside, it’s still worth going along to the local event and getting to see some very nice bikes.

  21. Dunno about that. Pharmaceutical companies are possibly the worse criminals out there. I find it hard to believe a word they say. A lot of people aren’t aware that they have licensed and pushed drugs for decades they know dont work and in the worse case scenarios cause great harm. They regularly create deliberate shortages to increase their profits including on drugs where shortages have led to peoples deaths. Then theres the astounding fact they can do as many studies and trials as they like and only have to publish the ones that show a new drug in a promising light. So if for example 10 trials were run on a new drug and 9 showed the drug didnt work or had terrible side effects they dont have to reveal that data when they apply for a licence. Its hard to believe they do this but they want the return on the money they’ve spent on development and research. If it all sounds like a bit conspiracy theory madness then have a look at America’s prescribed opiate addiction problem (big pharma targeting and lying to Dr’s) or Rofecoxib, Humira, Enbrel. Thousand and thousands of deaths. With the Rofecoxib the researcher who blew the whistle was told she will never work again in that arena.. and she hasn’t, instantly unemployable. So basically I’m fractionally more trusting of the vaccine study results of Oxford University than I am of the other big pharma companies who are allegedly behind pushing the idea that Oxford Astrazenica isn’t safe even though they’ve had more yellow cards (reports of adverse reactions) than Astrazenica. Age old problem of profit before people. I’ll wait to see the final outcome before putting my money on any one of them.

  23. eeeeet bollox! we're locked down again. they are refusing to use that phrase but that's what it is. for 4 weeks. From Saturday night midnight: - allowed out with a 10km radius of your home address. Any further requires written justification of a valid reason ( work basically) -Schools shut, distance learning for a week and then 2 weeks easter holidays, then distance learning for a week and then, in theory, reopen. - no groups of more than 6 people I will find out tomorrow what happens re work as we were supposed to have our first clients 24th april and our base in the south had first clients this coming weekend., that is now not going to happen. having spent some time on google earth, I have figured out that there is a 100metre stretch of towpath along the river north of Auxerre where my 10km circle intersects with the circles of 5 other members of the bike club... looks like easter holidays is going to be picnicing canalside...?

  28. Thanks @Bruce I now have to try and translate all that into french . seriously though, thanks guys, I know little and understand even less about this sort of stuff so your help is invaluable. It's the age old problem of being an expert Bruce, friends will insist on asking your advice in your domain of expertise. You should do what I did and become an expert in sod all. I believe "Jack of all trades, master of none" is the saying that might apply, but at least I dont get hassled by people asking for advice.

  31. I dont know how Spaniards are raised but I wouldnt be surprised to hear its without a constant pressure to perform and succeed. Its very easy to feel like a failure in this country, like regardless of how successful you are (or aren’t) you should have achieved more. Its complete madness, the only relaxed happy people I know are the ones who dont give a f*ck about all that stuff and they seem to be far and few between. Love that Frank Spencer scene where he suddenly realises and rejoices in being a failure. He says “Im a failure” with a massive smile ? Im gonna have to look for that now.. oh it’s turning into a very productive work day ?

Maybe it's best if you don't count on me for a couple of months to do this. Here is my submission for this month, a freshly washed motorcycle, very much not like what it is looking like today all bug splattered

  42. Day 4 With Fernando now on board, the BNB group headed south to Gonzaga Bay to meet up with the Alfonsina's boys. Turns out they had a little fun with Gary's bike. Little on the road valve job, in the most cleanest of clean room conditions.... Some pics from the ride down - me and Chris At Alfonsilas, with the bikes packed, it was now time to pick the day's route (of course, that could have been done earlier so we would have more riding time. But....) The loose plan was to head south along the coast and find a little village to camp for the first time of the trip. Things changed. We HAD to go past Coco's Corner, a mainstay for the Baja 1000. Coco's Corner is one of the most infamous crossroads in Northern Baja (stolen from the interwebby). Coco lives in a little hut and sells beer and cokes to passersby. The hut is papered with panties from fans who have stopped in. (chicks are cool!) When we went by in 2016, the road past Coco's was the only way south and back to pavement. Since that time, the government has finished the paved highway, but has unfortunately cut Coco off from all the travel. There is a sign on the hwy calling it out, but fewer people seem to go by now. Fortunately, friends and volunteers are building him a new place closer to the pavement, keeping the tradition going. (someone in the group has a great group shot of us all with Coco that i will track down and add. In his 90s now, he has been in a wheelchair for years having had his legs removed below the knees due to diabetes) There was talk of dirt from Cocos to Bahia de Los Angeles, but Coco scared us off with talk of 13 miles of sand! Instead, we headed south out of Cocos, rather than return immediately to the pavement. There was a point further south on Hwy 1, where the dirt route came close to pavement. Our thought was to possibly head off there, cutting the corner down to Bahia. The area: Google Maps hasnt updated theirs in some time, so this shows the hwy still running by Coco's Bing Maps is a little more updated: (I've circled Coco's Corner. As you can see, they have left the poor guy way off the new highway. A blow up of his abode: We made it back to pavement on Hwy 5, then on to Hwy 1. Heading south, we reached the point where the original dirt track was close to pavement and half the group decided to chance it. Others figured a nice pavement ride down to the coast would be smarter and easier. Guess which choice was the best? Some pics from the pavement pussies, i mean smart guys

  43. It was 20C today and blue skies, so I took the Beemer on the trails around San Clemente reservoir for the first time! The Beemer was a lot easier to manoeuvre than the Strom obviously! Which I was particularly glad of at one point when I missed the turn round spot and ended up literally at the water's edge with no way forward! You can see the place in the vid where the trail leads straight into the reservoir......that's Death and Dismemberment for sure! Or even worse......getting your bike wet! So here we go....no Dark Motorcycling......and no ruins or devastation! Which was a bit of a let down......but I got through it!
