  1. Ride Log April 10, 2021 Mount Elphinstone Provincial Park is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. There are a few gravel roads that travel through the park and offer the locals a great place to adventure into the backcountry and play the day away. We ride there a lot during the summer and fall, but thought we would ride up there this Spring and see where the snow line was at. The tires on our bikes are not meant for snow in any way, so we go as far as we can. After some slip sliding around, we decided to turn around at 666 meters (more like our tires said, GO HOME SILLY ?) . We will try again soon, as it is one of our favourite roads! ? Fun ride and great experience, I even managed to keep the rubber side down. A slipping and a sliding.... The forest did look beautiful with the fresh snow. ?

  7. I thought it was a joke that people spend their time at garden centres and then my bezzie said that’s exactly what she does on many weekends, the whole family gets dragged to the garden centre, sounds horrendous ?

  8. I suspect I'm going to get dragged to one of them in Caniles this weekend! The only way out is a perimetral lockdown!

  10. I actually played in a friendly game once but the other players were concerned about tackling me so I substituted myself The one thing that i was grateful for when I lost my leg was that my playing career had just finished before I had the accident .

  19. Got away with the FOGs of BMWCOSC to Death Valley. Nice temps in the 90s during the day, 60s a nite. Titus Canyon - fun dirt road, 33 miles long. Finishes into Death Valley thru narrow, winding section with steep walls hydrating by the pool in Furnace Creek

  21. Hmm you sound like him ? Except my parents my mother and father both rode motorbikes whilst preaching we really shouldn’t, it’s stupid etc etc. My mum even ran off with a Ducati dealer so it’s a bit pot called ?

  22. Your father's been there and probably lost a lot of mates back then.....as we all did. I never encouraged bikes with my kids and in reality probably discouraged them to a degree......so they were never interested. I've had a Guardian Angel for 50 years.....they might not have been so lucky.

  24. Yep. Always wanted one but parents went ON and ON and ON about how dangerous they are and don’t get one. Then they gave their 3 children (me and two bothers) a chunk of money. Unbeknown to me they made my brothers promise not to spend it on a motorbike but they didn’t say that to me so I had a think about what to do with some of it and thought I’ve always wanted a motorbike, it’s now or never. They were completely horrified “we didn’t make you promise because there was no need because you’re the sensible one” I replied “Think again ?” Then husband stopped playing rugby, could no longer triathlon due to back/neck pain and sporty people need movement to be happy so it was an obvious choice. Meant I had to mostly give up riding on my own which I don’t resent at all. I said I DONT RESENT AT ALL ????

  29. A Harley Fat Boy and a BMW F800GT He wouldn’t have it he needed anything but the Harley. I couldn’t persuade him it’s not great for touring until I said “How do you think you’ll feel pulling up outside somewhere dodgy looking in the pissing rain and having to leave your lovely shiny bike outside?” 2 days later he shouted from another room “IVE FOUND ONE” he then appeared with the F800 on his iPad ? It was about double the budget I had in mind ? but it was the perfect choice so ?

  32. Since he passed his test a year ago he’s been on the same slippery slope everyone gets on and now loves ‘em. I more mean the desire to do those type of trips. Hence starting him out with LEJOJ and then Spain. If he doesn’t fancy doing things farther afield he’s cool with me going without him ?but I think if it’s incremental stages he’ll love the idea, if not I’m happy on my tod ?

  35. We fueled up once we got to town and then immediately hit the interstate to blast the 250 miles to home. It was 81F (28C) when we left and 24F (-1C) three and a half hours later when I got home. Froze my ass off getting home. And we're expecting 8+" of snow tomorrow while it's still gonna be 80F in Grand Junction. It's enough to make ya mad. Final day video from Phil once it's available.
