Had a great ride yesterday on Charlotte. Went back to an old bridge over a beautiful creek that we found on the Himalayans once. ? I captured some lovely video footage of the creek and will make a short video once I have time. Now that I am riding almost every day and outside more the video projects get less attention. ?5 points

I had intended to have a ride somewhere on Thursday but a friend thought he’d go on Saturday so a change of plan. Transpired that he didn’t want to go too far and do some nearby lanes, that I didn’t really fancy. Eventually got out late morning after making sure that I had deballasted sufficiently as most of the public khazis would be closed due to the lurgy. A very important issue these days. The only plan I had was west so thought I’d avoid the hordes on the Beacons and get there quickly, as it was a late start, along the M4 then turn off somewhere. I just saw a place name and headed towards it until somewhere else caught my eye. As seems to be the norm for me lately, didn’t stop other than for a few snaps when I was in the quieter hills. Fortunately the roads were fairly quiet earlier on because I suppose many were in front of the box watching some funeral. I usually hear my first cuckoo of the year at this spot, but nothing Just over 250 miles so happy that I can still do some miles. I think that the reluctance to take photos has something to do with the effort it seems to take me to get off and on the bike!5 points

19c and blue skies.....but not allowed to go anywhere! So it was ride the roads I'm allowed to ride once again. I can't go nowhere! Obviously that's better than this time last year when I couldn't leave the house......but it's still frustrating to only be able to ride in one direction (north) all the time. Any other direction and it's turn round and come back after 3 or 4 miles. And we've now had 10 weeks of this so far this year! Still.....if I've got to be locked into a town, then this place is a damn sight better than the shithole I was born in.4 points

Looks great and shit as it is as least they give you an area with a perimeter. We’ve had to ‘stay local’ which means only a few miles from home. Even Boris got a pasting for leisure cycling 7 miles as many deemed that too far! And as you say it is beautiful where you are ?2 points

Some epic riding stuff in these reports. The colour of those school buildings are fantastic and that was a great bit of youtube of the goats moving about in the tree. I suppose we’re just not used to seeing cattle in trees, may as well have been an episode of the magic roundabout with cows up there! ? We have a lot of wild goats in Cheddar George and when they’re clinging to the rock face on the road above you you can’t help but feel wary ones about to ping off! Here’s a of one of them looming over the road below and one silly billy that simply went to far. They climb trees too. Hope you get to really enjoy Morocco when you get back there.2 points

So today I decided to get over the bridge and invade Wales, well just slightly as I would be in and out of the border for this trip. It were a bit nippy when I left at 08.00 at 1C but the heated grips were on and at least it wasn't windy. Down the M4 and across the Severn Bridge and bypassed Chepstow and took the B4293 to Monmouth, fuckmine look at the shit on this road............ Passed through Monmouth and up past the Rockfield Studios where Dave Edmunds used to do his thing.................... Had a quick stop at Skenfrith Castle, sorry about the shit photo but the sun was really strong by now and it was turning into a glorious day........... Moved on up the road towards Grosmont and nearly hit a mother duck waddling up the road with her ducklings , I missed them but stopped to get a photo but by time I'd walked down the road they'd dissapeared throught the hedge. Instead I took a photo of mummy sheep and her lambs in the field , please refrain from getting a hard-on now Pete I carried on up to Peterchurch and then went east , crossing back into England and Herefordshire which is home to some of the finest cider apple orchards anywhere........ I made my way to Hoarwithy which is litteraly on the border as the river Wye is the border here between Wales and England. I popped into Tresseck campsite as my mate was there in his motorhome and was rewarded with a bacon sarnie.............2 points

So on down some more gorgeous backroads and across this glorious common.................... Mr Pheasant wasn't too pleased by my arrival.............. I came across a handwriiten sign further down the road and went to investigate. Fawley Chapel, I can't really find out much about it but it looked old and the village only had about 4-5 houses including the farm............. I made my way down through the Forest of Dean but didn't stop to take any photos as it was rammed with mountain bikers and I spent most of my time trying to pass them. Back across the old Severn Bridge to England where I took a photo on my GPS, I have no idea why it came out like that ? Was it doing an impression of 'Galloping Gertie' ? Or was I speeding ? It wasn't me officer, that's my mates GPS2 points
