Today I drove to Galicia for a business meeting, and thought of taking a couple of pictures of a part of Spain completely different than what appears on reports from our members living in Southern drier Spain: Spain in the distance Driving from Orense to Lugo and back: On top of the road you see on the previous picture, from where I took the picture, I found a memorial saying "in memory of deceased bikers", the previous part is harder to translate as it means "a breath to the sky", or something like a blast to the sky, or to the heavens. There, a drive report1 point

"De Espanha, nem bons ventos nem bons casamentos!" Translates into: "From Spain, no good winds nor good marriages", you use it to say there are no good things coming from Spain. First part, Portugal gets it's mild climate from the ocean, inland areas that get weather arriving from Spain usually get too hot weather or too cold because they get their weather from there. The marriages part comes from history, in which a few marriages between the crowns of Portugal and Spain have always seemed to conspire to threaten Portugal's independence.1 point

Looks good though and there are few things better than harassing power rangers through the bends.1 point

Apparently I know as much as you do about your riding, from what I remember you do exactly what you are saying, but I thought you were trying to embarass me by suddenly accelerating into a corner, it’s like riding behind someone with motorcycling tourette’s1 point

I always trail brake on my bikes, best way to get through a corner (as well as weighting the pegs) , works ace on gravel . I've never ridden anything as heavy as your bike Buck, it must take some balls to get a big unit like that hauled over in a bend.1 point

Why do you say that?! You are the last person I can imagine chasing anyone with a shovel! It strikes me your super power is in approaching things softly, not with force. Embrace it, its a great quality! Like the Queen said about the tragedy of 9/11, "Grief is the price you pay for Love" . Dogs teach us that Love is always worth it and also loyalty no matter what! They are amazing teachers and you are caring for your dog in the best way possible, not sleeping to stay with her ans seating there in silence is magical and difficult in equal measure. Well done!!1 point

I just discovered that this is actually FAR older an attributed to Marcus Aurelius ( and probably has a quite different meaning taken in context) "neque hoc metueris, ne vivere aliquando desinas, sed ne nunquam naturae convenienter vivere incipias" " it is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never begenning to live"1 point

Worse places to trace our DNA back to than Northern Spain Alan. I mean....just imagine if that chromosome connected us to the Hanoverians?0 points
