I see your point Caroline and I wish you all the very best. Personally I can't think of anything worse but that's just my opinion. I have been to all the ABR rally's , from the original place near Stratford to the field near Banbury (which I quite liked. I didn't really enjoy the last one at Ragley Hall, it's got too big and too commercial for my liking. Anyway, each to their own. I have a overnight camping gig near Hereford in May which I'll be going to with five others, I think that's about my limit at the moment.3 points

I very much see your point but at that time the infection rates will still be as low as they are going to be because restrictions have only just been lifted. Its not a young persons festival so the majority of attendees (including me) will have had at least one jab which they’ve found does cut transmission and hospitalisation significantly. Plus the under 50’s account for less than 0.4% of deaths from Covid even when it was rampant so its pretty low risk, much lower risk than from some much nastier diseases in other countries I’ve been to. The alternative is to not mix at all until the whole country has had both jabs and then wait and see if it continues to work. Which is if they hit their target of everyone by the end of July that’s then October before everyone’s had their second jab, plus the time to full immunity it’s then November- it’s a lot of the year to lose. By then there’s also a much increased chance of a vaccine resistant strain emerging (the more time passes the further away from the original strain the mutations are) so all in all I’ve decided it’s probably one of the safer times to mix. That’s my reckoning, I suppose it’s one of those things the individual has to weigh up for themselves ?3 points

I'm slightly surprised by anyone wanting to go to that, over 6000 peeps together with a huge beer tent only two weeks after restrictions end, what could possibly go wrong ?????3 points

I'm planning to start the domain switch around 9AM CET/8AM GMT tomorrow morning. However, there's 30GB of data to move so I'd estimate around 2 hours. If you log in and see site offline (or even a blank page) then it's ongoing. Once completed I'll be putting in a redirect from this domain to the new domain.......but I suggest you save the new link now. So click the link below......go to the temporary landing page, and then add to favourites/bookmarks! https://www.motorcycleriders.net/ Remember that you will then need to login to the new site using your existing username and password. And if you can't remember your password then you'll see an option to reset it. So.....who do you reckon is going to be too stupid to be able to manage it?2 points

if you're not underselling yourself and your linguistic abilities and need help with technical terms in frog, I can help. You're also only about 25 minutes south of my oppo ( in Capestang) who is ( or was) a proper mechanic, even if his last bike was something like a suzuki GT750 way back when... he's english and speaks the lingo sufficiently well to run our operations down there. I'm sure he'd help if I asked. Have you got to the point at the dealers yet where they all run away and hide when they see you coming...2 points

First day was full of adventure and amazing views of the Douro Valley away from the tourist. Beautiful nature and at the same time man made landscapes that look like gardens but are actually working farms of wine and olives. This is a little daily news video, later will come riding videos.1 point

So tomorrow I shall join @Pedro for a trip around Portugal. Fingers crossed for not to much rain, many nice roads and plenty of great evenings chatting while enjoying good food and good wine!! I made 2 little videos while loading tge bike in the garage. Its not great quality, for sure no where near @Grasshopper's Ride cinematographic excelence!! Its just a little amusing rambling of my part. Its the first time I have ever done this and it shows! Anyway, its just me talking to you!! Thanks for watching!1 point

When you say "interesting" im assuming "worried"?! My friend Barbara, the one that goes to Canada riding, always wants to stop to photograph them, so I have told her Im not stopping abd I'll master all my skills to ride away as fast as possible!! The Sun as come out, but many showers as well. Its April, thats how it goes!! But beautiful landscapes and very remote locations with a lot of charecter. @Pedrofinds real jowels road wise and keeps taking amazing pictures. His images for BOTM will be tough to beat this time, many good choices.1 point

Lol....no, I'm not underselling my linguistic abilities, I have perfected the glazed "I didn't understand a word of what you just said" look! ?? We're actually moving very soon to Cébazan, which is just up the road from Capestang. I managed to bring the majority of my tools over with me, so fitting a set of bars shouldn't be too much of an issue, as long as they line up with the mounting holes reasonably well. I've only dealt with the salesman so far, so I've yet to terrorise the workshop guys yet! ?? But, if I get stuck I may well take up the offer of help from your oppo! Cheers. ?1 point

I think youre all expecting there to be some reasonable explanation for his withdrawal and I dont think youre gonna find one. He wants to be gone so he’s gone. I wouldn’t waste anymore brain space on it.1 point
