I've got a Tom Tom 400. I use it on the bike and in the car. It came with mounts for both, some sort of deal the seller was doing at the time. In the car I just plug it into the power socket, but once when I had blown the fuse for that (when I plugged in a phone charger) I just used its own internal charge, knocking it onto stand by until I needed information when I would liven up the screen. Managed an 8 hour journey that way and then again coming home later that week, charged it by plugging it into the hotel tv usb socket. Took me a while to identify the fuse, every book and website gave a different location and number for it. Had never realised how many fuses and fuse boxes my car actually had until then. On the bike the mount will let you swivel it to read it long way up, good for seeing what's coming further along. I have the mount wired to the battery. Clicking it on to the mount makes it turn on automatically when it realises it has connected to a power supply. As it takes a while to get going, if I'm in a hurry I turn it on indoors whilst I'm togging up so it's ready for action as soon as I start the engine. If you miss a turn or deliberately ignore it, or it is a blocked road it recalculates in a few seconds. I occasionally work out a route using Tyre on the PC and then transferring it to the Tom Tom via cable. I've dropped it onto the road quite a few times, it's has shrugged that off.3 points

Came home to parent's since over a month ago when I left for that ride with Sofia. Arrived to a dog that has a rear knee problem and is in rest mode. So I'll probably be in rest mode too during the weekend.3 points

Ordered a couple of things from this shower a couple of weeks ago, got half of what I ordered. Initially they seemed like they wanted to resolve the problem and then it started. I got an email basically calling me a liar, they obviously had no intention of sorting things out. I went on to prove that the box they sent was too small to hold the missing part and they still did not respond. So as promised I gave them the first of what was going to be many shite reviews, within two hours I had an email apology and a promise I will have the missing item early next week. The quality of the parts seem pretty good but there is no way I will ever deal with them again.2 points

Its excellent when the luggage is on the back to have a quick nap on long days riding. Its kind of safe with the bike in gear. Plus im 10 stone/60 kgs, not really a grizzly!!2 points

You don't even have to have anything plugged into some of those USB thingy's , some of them have a slight draw all the time.2 points

It's not that difficult Pete, it means there's no chance of draining your battery by accident and makes a much better connection.2 points

If there's one thing I really miss since loosing my leg it's swimming. I love swimming and i'll still swim in rivers and the sea but public pools are too much of a faff.2 points

It is an anti-weaning ring, must be a fairly young bullock, they put them in if they are reluctant to stop weaning as it makes the attempt uncomfortable.2 points

Same here, ball rarely got to me due to the violence committed on the people who were supposed to pass it along to me. I have no idea if we played union or league (or what the difference was) and the only rule I knew was not to throw it forwards. In fact I only really played it to avoid going swimming because I can't swim.2 points

The dog was feeling a bit rough so after a few internal organ replacements it was ready to ride cover your eyes if your squeamish this is open heart surgery. The day started with the rebuild After a little work she lives A few hours later and i'm on the road but thinking i better not stray too far after the rebuild so up to my local byway . It was pointed out to me the shadow looks like a reindeer lol And then onto my mountain After a check for oil leaks it was onto check out a lane that was illegally closed but overturned by the TRF Then some of my favorite tarmac to sennybridge for fuel This is the end of the roman road out of Trecastle only took the photo because it doubled up as a piss stop Then onto the Crychan forest which has been graded and has made it easy enough to drive your car through now Then it was the ride home trying to keep it under 55. past the Llwyn Onn reservoir it was like a mirror these are photos of it up the right way and upside down you tell me which is which On the A470 i had to suffer the humiliation of a scooter rider burning me off because i was bedding things in the fucking wanker had the cheek to wave to me Bike ran beautifully restored my love for it again1 point

I back-tracked a couple of miles and then continued towards Corsham, on the way I spotted some of Fred's mates so I stopped to say hello.............. I have no idea why this dude had a big ring through his nose, I don't think he was a bull and the ring didn't look like one they use to lead the bull around, anyone got any idea what that's all about ? Further up the road I stopped at a country store for a sandwich and a coffee, they had a grass air-strip next to the place ............... Now I was heading back towards home but stopped in Biddestone as it's a lovely village with a cool duck pond............... The last stop was at Castle Coombe race circuit where there was a track day for cars. Only 66 miles were done but it was really enjoyable and not one drop of mud1 point
