  4. It’s strange that the French word for smoke is derived from the Latin but the word for fire isn’t, well until you look at their history anyway, every fucker has kicked the shit out of them and invaded them which is why it’s such a mongrel language, I can see why a cunt like you fits in there so well.

  7. Bloody marvellous day, didn't get out till dinner time so we just kept going. Found a wide open spot to stop and this was it. (other than a fuel stop). Somewhere between Harleston and wymondham. Poor effort but it was just a ball ache to stop.

  12. They're out in force on FaceButt now: Horrifying study reveals mRNA vaccine nanoparticles are circulated throughout the entire body. New research conducted in Japan shows that Lipid NanoParticles (LNPs) containing the mRNA code are widely circulated around the body after vaccination, reaching the brain, spleen, large intestine, heart, liver, lungs and other organs. There are 50 BILLION of these nano sized lipid envelopes of lab replicated RNA from a cor0na virus protein spike (from SaRs CV2?) Most who get this injection will certainly shorten their life, become sterile, have a lifetime of sickness from this experimental 'medicine" that's for an alleged virus with a 99% survivable rate without treatment. With proper medicine, it's 100% recoverable - no worse than the common cold, which is caused by the common corona virus. We're all fucked then!

  13. I took one of a Daytona for a friend. It really wasn't that bad although I confess to having a couple of wires spare but left them insulated and all was well. Wires from the alarm will take power and earth by joining into the loom. Others will "break" wires so you have to rejoin colours. Can't explain it better as I'm drinking.

  15. So, got to editing this and it ended up too long for most people, still, it's got pretty great views, some of my favourite roads, some castles, the Serra da Estrela in the rain, and much more of my voice over it all ... ... which isn't really a bonus Watch at your own risk, I kinda like it, though

I've been doing some research and yours may be factory fitted and integrated into the bike so needs some thought to be removed i read somewhere the french models were hard wired in and not plug and play. this is the wiring diagram i have been looking at not sure if its the one for your bike though. Number 39 is the alarm panel.

  21. This is not me, but it is pretty much my journey to work (pre covid) at least once a week and the main reason I ride a bike to work if at all possible. Having said pre-covid, I did go through a 5 mile queue last week, traffic nearly back to normal and I had to go in at normal commuting hour to meet some white liners. Reason for a 10 mile queue (or longer) on my motorway part of the trip is usually:- Someone driving like a prat coming a cropper and crashing, a loose horse or cow running about on a motorway, or an HGV tipping over at it makes the turn north from the M25 onto the M11. The last thing happens so often I can't believe they don't reprofile the cross fall.

  23. funnily enough, french is a less rich language than english ( for example) English has 4 majour roots: Latin, Nordic, germanic and anglosaxon wheras French has only One Majour root in Latin and a number of much more minor roots in the various celtic languages and the Langue D'Oc. Which is why the average englishman has a much larger vovabulary than his french counterpart. The english often have 3 or 4 words with the same ( or very near) meaning, wheras the French will have one word with a number of different meanings. Or so It was once explained to me...

  31. Curfew, the english word, comes from the english mispronunciation of the french " Couvre Feu" literally "Lights out". As a child at boarding school, each year group had a different "lights out" time when they are required to be in bed by, later as you get older and only theoretical in the last 2 years.

  34. So i haven't got the energy to put any real content into this so here goes. While out on the dog yesterday i bumped into a couple of lads on CRF250L's and gets talking, the one is Steveoneleg my new best pal (sorry Bob ) and his buddy Jason twelve bellies. The pair of them are new to trail riding this year and members of the TRF (trail riders federation) same as me. After chatting for a while i mention i'm out for the day today and they ask if they could join me so a meeting place is arranged for the next day. I turns up about 9 has a chat explaining how i ride and i'm out for the day which is a like it or lump it sort of thing, and off we goes. Ride starts off with lots of scenic back roads and a few unpaved roads to warm things up heading to a place called Glasbury for breakfast which Steve takes full advantage of . On the route there i see just how green Jason twelve bellies is. He is finding everything hard work and says hes enjoying the experience but is asking lots of questions about the route home and complaining about a pounding head ache, he also said he hasn't felt 100% since his second covid jab two days ago . No photos up till now the first couple of lanes after the breakfast stop are a lot tougher than i though as the ground is still soaking even though we've had good weather for 2 or 3 days. Jason Steve This is a relatively easy lane but the wet and the ruts make it 100% worse this really took it out of poor Jason. Stopped for a breather A vid to see how slippery it was Next lane wasn't too bad but Jason decided to call it a day and head home leaving just me and Steve Which wasn't a bad idea as i think the next lane we would have been brushing the mud over Jason and leaving him there Steve doing a great job keeping things upright here It was hard going Next we were onto the easier stuff which now i think about it maybe i should have taken Jason straight to this stuff and skipped the earlier lanes, ahh well whatever More of the easy stuff, you tend to appreciate this more after slugging it out in the shit for a few hours LOL Stopped by this pond for a snack and a chat couldn't think of a nicer place the day was glorious Back on the track and a little further on in this photo i had to deal with an aggressive local bloke on a pushbike who stopped me to argue with me about riding there, saying i shouldn't be there. In my best i'm not going to punch the fuck out of you tone i explained he was wrong and educated him on the use of OS maps and what things meant on them and after a while i left with an apology from him for being such a cock on our initial encounter I tried not to let the twat upset me and after a few scenes like this he was a distant memory After an unexpected detour to get fuel (it might be just me but i expect everyone to turn up at the meeting point with a full tank) we get on the tracks that start us in the homeward direction @XTreme this is just a small steam crossing Last tricky lane of the day the camera just doesn't show how steep that is A long road ride home followed, Steve impressed me a lot, for someone who's only got into trail riding this year he rode great and whenever i said we can go home the quick way if you want,he choose to stick with the trail riding top bloke

  35. and made a video of it. I made this video to figure out how it was to make a video with voiceover, it's fucking tiresome and frustrating that what it's like! I am annoyed just listening to myself speak, but if you have 10 minutes to spare you might want to see it. There are some good roads on there, you can turn the sound off ... This covers the first day of the ride me and @Sofia did a month ago, on this ride report from her:
