After the morning dog walk we went for a short ride on the Himalayans to see about a road that just opened up....meaning, NO LOGGING TRUCKS The sun came out for a bit and the roads were in good shape..... it was a nice ride.

Few shots from today.....crossed into Murcia and went to a very remote village that I'd never visited before......Los Odres. One bad road in and out and civilisation (if you can call it that) ends at the village. There was a road sign on the way in saying only residents were allowed to enter the place! Never seen anywhere else like that! It was a weird, creepy little place.......can't put my finger on why, it was just the general vibe that it had. Not a soul to be seen either! And no video because the cam kept getting splattered with bugs! Soon as I'd clean it the fucking thing would get splattered again.

Started the day with a lovely drive to some different trees for the morning dog walk. We went down a mountain bike trail called Tin Pan Alley. It had just rained, so it was really nice and lush in the forest.

Thats allot of horsepower.

Left Bonneville, hauled ass through Salt Lake City and turned south towards Moab. Temps were up around 105F again so Dave and Debbie didn't wanna ride through Moab - they just got on the freeway and blasted for the hotel. Todd and I were foolish enough to go look at some other stuff..

Stopped by the Bonneville Salt Flats on the way outta town to catch the sunrise....

Did the obligatory ride through the tree photo op....

Pics were crap as not enough light made it to the forest floor - blocked out by all of the towering trees......

There's some sort of horse event going on in the town, and over 25 of them are being stabled in the site where we have ours. Some were in enclosed stables so I couldn't get pics but you'll get the idea! First two are ours.....

The wild flowers around my yard are taking it to a new level this year with the colours and natural beauty....

My bad, it was 2001 . I've fecked the date out of my brain now, my wife could tell you the exact date .

After an overnight stay in Klamath Falls, OR, we head out into central Oregon and aim towards home. Not a lot out here. 150 miles between fuel stops and Todd's Duc nearly ran outta fuel a couple of times...

Extremely blue and clear water....

106F / 42C as we crossed southern Oregon. Beyond hot. Wasn't too bad while moving but stopping for fuel made you sweat a bit. We head for elevation and Crater Lake to cool down...

The Cove used to be our go to California destination. But the hotel prices have gone outta sight so we don't stay there anymore. Shame as I really like the seclusion of the place, watching sea lions on the rocks and deer in the yards......

Aimed for Shelter Cove, CA and was greeted by 65F/ 19C temps. Felt much better...

It was getting hot out (102F / 39C) so we headed across the hills towards the coast and cooler weather.....

Riding through the trees was probably one of the better rides of the trip. Roads were perfectly smooth, uncrowded and nice weather....

After our first night at the Hotel Swanky, we're riding through the Redwood Forests - huge assed trees....

Todd was beyond hot at this point and attempted some roadside body heat control. Stayed overnight in Grand Junction, Colorado before getting up at 0500 Saturday to hit the interstate for home. Made to the house and put another trip in to the books. Sure was fun.

Landed in Wendover, Nevada on this night. Nice enough little gambling town in the desert. Got up before dawn to head out in an attempt to beat the heat of the day...
