Two-Track Travel Through The Trees Riding the main forest service roads around the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia offers hours of great riding, but I do love venturing off the main roads onto the two-track side roads. They always offer some fun exploring and new adventures. . This time of year is even more enjoyable as the forest is lush and green around you as you ride through.3 points

Thats exactly how my OH rides. When i followed him when i was first learning i thought his brake lights were broken...i was waiting for clues and such to follow and copy. None given...the man doesnt brake he just swoops round every bloody corner and maintains the same fricken speed !!! Hes got the bike now from a scooter and he looks like hes never been off it. Makes me sick2 points

Im sure you don't, I'd bet once you get used to the bigger bike you will be fine, just don't put pressure on yourself to learn everything overnight2 points

Thanks Pete Yes, we take the drone with us often, but never stop to use it....lol. Just too much fun riding all the time. This time we got it out and wanted to show what the area we ride in. Normally all you see is the road and lots of trees, you can forget the big picture that is above the trees.2 points

Got back from Manc a shot while ago. Holmfirth, Sheffield, Mansfield, Newark bla, bla, bla. Too hot. 500 odd miles for me and her. Bikes are now locked up out front and 2" longer with the crusty bugs we destroyed.2 points

If i organise a ride i try to limit it to six but no real rule about numbers its up to the event organiser. We started off as seven and met Sarah and her fella on route taking us to nine. There was another group of about six left at the same time on the same route but in the opposite direction we didn't cross paths again that day with the other group1 point

I took a run to Caravaca de la Cruz......which is is the fifth Holy City of Catholic Christianity. I was headed towards the Sanctuary that overlooks the city......but it turned out that the building was cordoned off for major renovations. However.....I did get a close look at the rather unusual form of transport that conveys people from the city centre up to the Sanctuary. If @Buckster ever moved over......he'd jump at the chance to drive that for sure! So here you go.....it's a city centre, there's cars and people.....plus a historic statue that somebody has decided to put a face mask on! And Buck's bus of course!1 point

Don't ask me.....I haven't got a clue how it works! I just used "the fifth Holy City of Catholic Christianity" line in the hope that it made my ride report appear marginally less insignificant!1 point

Well there's not much its just the bloody mask wearing that's doing my head in and the fact that they are delaying the lifting of restrictions for yet another month1 point

Night clubs, theatres still closed I think the only thing they lifted was amount of guests at a wedding that’s been lifted, the news just now said 12 people with double vacations have died, it’s rising here again, our area was down to 8 infected in its now at 25 the average has gone up from 11 to 39 so not good at the moment.1 point

No not yet anyway, but they have pulled opening up fully now until July.1 point

"What's on your playlist when you ride?" What's the problem with just enjoying riding? Why do you need music?1 point

It's not a deliberate thing......more a case of I like to maintain a consistent pace. So for example if I'm doing 60mph on the straight and I come to a hairpin bend......I don't want to lose any momentum. So I just keep on going at 60mph. Probably a legacy of small bikes in the early years, where losing momentum meant you were screwed if you had other bikes with you. Back then it was just one big race! For someone behind it might look like I'm accelerating.....but I'm not. It's their braking that makes it look like that to them. It's the polar opposite of the 100mph up the straight and 20mph round the bend types.1 point

To be honest, the "motorcycling tourettes" wasn't a comment on your riding skill or technical stuff you're doing on the bike's controls, I've no doubt you're a very competent rider. It was, yes, a comment on how it looks like when someone is following you on the road, I felt like you were going slow in the fast bits and accelerate in the slower bits to try and shake me off or catch me by surprise, hence the tourettes1 point

No.....six was the first from the other forum to sign up. A week before everybody else in fact! It has been suggested he was told to do that by the powers that be to keep an eye on the place. Personally I don't think that was the case......it was probably more due to the fact that he didn't have a clue what to do without me there to guide him.1 point
