I didnt meet anyone there who werent the sort to get off their arses and do stuff- either off roading or overland travel and judging by how many people were plastered in mud the 20 mile slide didnt put anyone off much There were a fair few GS’ there, they werent many taking them off road that I saw, I assume theyre used as comfortable mile eating touring bikes and know that mud fest isnt what that weighty monster’s designed for. Nathan wasnt that thrilled to see us, I think he went off Mr Slowly when he asked him if he was alright or if that was his natural resting bitch face5 points

I voted for the AT, because it is the best paint scheme for an AT plus the twisty road going into the background is also most excellent. However, I have to say the scooter on the jetty is a gorgeous picture and would have had my vote, but it is a scooter, I rode one once and nearly hit a wall when the brakes failed, also I can't swim so the water made me nervous. Edit, I should point out that the man in a Parka who let me ride his scooter said afterwards that his brakes were the best on any scooter he'd owned and they hadn't failed, they just had character.3 points

Not much of a report and the usual shit but dryer Had a run out on the 650 on Sunday to check out a few lanes i haven't done for a few years around Llandrindod Wells area the weather wasn't looking too good and it was blowing a gale when we set off. This lane was on route to there i have done on the 650 fully loaded with camping gear in the past and it was just a little tricky and slippery, but not anymore its been washed out and is full of rocks and deep holes my fellow rider on the T7 assured me he was ok but looking at his face in this photo now i think he was lying I walked up to see what it was like ahead lots of vegetation covering the rocks and holes, we both dropped the bikes coming up here it was a bit of a slog and the wind had stopped the day had warmed up and was muggy, by the time we got to the top i was wetter than an otters pocket with sweat. I think i can cross this one off the bigger bike route. Looking back down to where the bikes are First lane out of Llandod i had a surprise after the first gate all the other gates (and there's many) now have a cattle grid installed alongside them making the ride through a breeze no photos because there were no gates to stop on The next i had another surprised they have graded it making it boring great for your GS owner now as the ruts would have made it difficult going in the past These next two photos is what it used to be like which made it a much more interesting ride. It does have a TRO on it now while they carry out the work so only able to ride it from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning Then onto water breaks its neck which had also been graded on the south end pity they didn't put the cattle grids on this one there's far too many gates And then it was home across the Llanbedr hills down to Erwood and the last lane before a mad dash home on the road My fellow rider on the T7 was older than me but fitter and a good rider so we made good time over the ground about a 190 mile round trip for me. The 650 ran great seems to be running a lot cooler at higher speeds since the rebuild just needs a new rear tyre now.3 points

Maybe the owners have realised the dream that Charlie and Ewan sold them was more of a nightmare when it came to riding in the dirt2 points

He’s a really nice down to earth guy. If youve got to honour all the pre covid bookings you took and still try to keep your business afloat when like most business’ 2019/20s money is long gone its a stressful place to be. A lot of them are in the same boat, don’t qualify for furlough, the business ‘grants’ handed out were a joke (only bigger businesses got anything useful) and the bank loans are just that, a loan you have to pay back. The banks were arseholes about that too, awarded loans in an unscrupulous manner requesting security over your personal property rather than it being a business loan and the govt guarantee meant nothing. So all in all if youre a small business that didnt qualify for furlough and needed help youre buggered.1 point

I've been to Assen twice to watch the racing, unfortunately both times i found the lure of the pub more attractive than the race track and didn't see any racing other than on the pub's TV1 point

Three things were clear after this race: - Quartararo is a cool guy, and the world needs cool French guys, god knows there’s plenty of french twats already - Viñales is a sore loosing idiot, and Maverick being his first name doesn’t make up for him being a spanish twat. The are several spaniards who aren’t sore losers or twats, but he’s not one of them. - My man Miguel Oliveira is a great MotoGP racer and I couldn’t be happier about it, a real credit to Portugal!1 point

A very quick ride report about a very quick round trip to the river Zêzere and back!! A customer and friend asked me if I didnt want to joined them for lunch up in the Center of Portugal, around 200kms away from Ericeira, and seeing its Monday, designated day-off, I grabbed the offer with both hands! Absolutely love this region, one day will write a report about it!! Zezere!! This is a special river, a favourite of mine, meadering all the way from Serra the Estrela to the Tagus river, joining in Constância. Its famous world wide because viewd from high up looks like a dragon! It has a few very iconic towns along the way, one passed today is Dornes, a village established by Templer Knights, with a high up position overlooking a large bend of the river, its perfect strategic point to control the surrounding land. And the dam wall on the picture is from Cabril Dam, exactly the same mentioned on my previous ride report! It was pure coincidence I went there today, but when things like this happen I feel a special kind of fuzzy feeling inside! Happy-happy! There was no time to visit any of the other cool places, got a call to see a sick doggie and had to return! Vets Day-off is not something doggies understand!! Had to get on the motorway, grabed a little coffee and Pastel de Nata, the national pastry, as lunch and was home in a jeefy!! Not legally, but in a jeefy!! Ear plugs courtesy of Pedro, looking after me from far away!! Still, here are a few pictures! And a link to a write-up from a biker that is super informative: https://bermudarover.wordpress.com/2021/01/08/dornes-and-the-zezere-river/1 point

I went out for an early ride today, before it got too hot. We are having a strange weather pattern right now where I live, something called a "HEAT DOME" is causing record breaking heat for these parts. I thought a morning ride would be best. . The roads were dry and dusty but the forest was still filled with cool morning air. . A very nice ride! Might just spend tomorrow in the backyard camp, where it is cool and quiet! Have a fun weekend everyone! .....and for @Tym, just have a nice couple of days, it doesn't matter what we call them1 point
