  2. Wondered through downtown Golden and fell into the Golden Mill for dinner and beers. Weird place; you give them your credit card and then they give you a card that works in all of their card reader's. Then you walk up to one of the 30 taps in the place and pull your own beer. Most of the seating is outdoors on a large balcony above the river through town...

  6. My buddy Todd, (one of the guys that went with me on the California trip earlier this year), came to our house this weekend and brought his bike along. Plan is to do some light off road riding over next couple of days. We had as stop by the local liquor store to but some beers and booze for his friends back home in Missouri. Tipsy's Liquor has the biggest beer selection ever; two beer caves and 60 coolers! Todd got some rare beers for his bud's - one cost $31 per bottle! I mean, I like beer, but not at $31 per bottle....

  7. Taps. Card scanners below the drain and a screen telling you about the beer in the tap. As you pour, it gives you a cost per ounce and cost per pour. Not sure I liked that - reminds you what an alcoholic you are and how much it';;s costing you.

  15. Not much of a RR but I did get out for a ride today. Crap sleep last night so I was up and away by 7.00am , it was quite misty when I got to Arthur's Stone which is up on a hill near Dorstone in Herefordshire . It was very quiet and the atmoshere suited the site.

  16. So Bucky is taking great delight in informing everyone that @Six30 is gay, he equally loves to promote that belief that I am a Gimp. So which is best, is a better to be Gay or Gimp? We could start a poll, what do you think ?

  37. Some more Then and Now pics of my local area. We always called this place the "Schiller Hotel" - I had no idea that it had been named a bunch of other names over the years. Anyway, found some cool colorized pics of the place. dates range from the 1880's to the 1940's....

  40. We don't have a grocery store in town, or a petrol station or any other kinds of shops, but goddammit - we have an Opera House. Cause you never know when an opera might break out at any given moment. Pics from today, what looks like the 1920's and 1880....

  42. I have one like that of my house, The first photo was given to my wife by the daughter of the baby girl in the photo, she was on the palliative care ward where my wife works. she was born in our house and died last year at the age of 90 This one was taken we think in the 40's And this a few years ago look at the growth of the trees on the hill behind you wouldn't even know there is a quarry there. The houses on the right have appeared and the road is now paved all the way, i wish it wasn't though

  43. I love old pics and comparing them to new pics of the same place. Fortunately, photographing was popular in Colorado around the 1880's as the State was being discovered. Not of the same place, but it's the same train thingie. Late 1940's and today....
