I can't believe how people just abandon these places but also just leave all their 'stuff' . I'm still waiting for the day when some loony jumps out and bums you5 points

Because I have no idea where I was exactly when I took these.....I'd gone across numerous farm roads so I could have been in Granada, Murcia, or Almeria. There's still no onboard footage because the replacement support bracket hasn't arrived yet. Anyway, to make up for that......this vid is very different from others that I've done! A combination of two concepts you could say. So turn up the volume and watch the vid because a member on here gets an honourable mention! The subject matter is an old, abandoned country house that I stumbled across while wobbling round not knowing where I was........at one time it must have been a very big property! Now it's a big disaster area! This is Dark Motorcycling!3 points

Once upon a time British bikes pretty much ruled the world, there were some Italian oddities around that were exotic and a bit crap and BMW made boring bikes for architects to ride. Harley Davidson was horrendously expensive and out of the reach of most British bikers. Then along came the Jap bike revolution. Japanese bikes were pretty badly made back then, the materials were sub standard and they rusted if you looked at them too hard but what they did have was innovation and speed, the British bike industry had basically stopped developing things according to riders demands and gave people what the manufacturers decided they should have so saving money on R&D. The products were solid and made with good materials but they were outdated. The Japanese saw the opportunity and in they came and instantly dominated the market, their bikes cost less and were faster and speed was the order of the day. Fast forward to today, Italian exotica has gained reliability in the most part, the Japanese still dominate the market and we even have a successful British bike manufacturer, BMW have branched out a bit but retain their core customers. Enter China. China is seeking to build itself into the world’s manufacturing system and everything is game, motorcycles are a prime target for them but what are they offering? Poor copies, crap build quality and no innovation. They are bringing nothing to the table other than cheap bikes for people without any sense. They are buying up old bike brand names and sticking it on small capacity crap bikes instead of lifting up their manufacturing standards and actually developing new and exciting products. All they have a reputation for is being crap. There is no upside. The early Jap bikes were fast, China has got it all wrong.3 points

We put it to the vote Tym.......everybody apart from you said he was an annoying Cunt!3 points

That only applies to those built after 1981 in this country.. I would assume if other countries have similar rules then they would also have similar 'get out' clauses. perhaps this bike, very originally came from the UK. a fact lost in the mists of time. or when it was built, things like this didn't matter.3 points

.......I ran into this little outfit at a petrol station. I'd seen it on display many years ago when they used to do the Classic Motorcycle display in the town......but never actually seen it out and about. The owner told me it's a 1973 Vespa 150 and he's owned it for 40 years! Doesn't even appear to have a speedo on it now! Maybe he puts a bicycle one on just to get his ITV/MOT.......cos I saw the ITV sticker on it. This is how it's done @Mawsley........the guy doesn't appear to bin it either!2 points

You should be blaming importers, they order china to make crap, dint you know? If you pay them enough they can make as good stuff as anybody. I love their wall by the way, brilliant idea.2 points

It would hold no fears for me owning another Chinky.......but iam not saying I would not say thank you for either of the Japanese bikes, but I do like a twin. Being a cheapskate (poor)....cost has alway been a factor for me........that's why I own a Dacia!.2 points

Several guys said my WK650Tr would disintegrate within a couple of years......after 5 years it still looked good, a few bits of corrosion.....nothing fell off or broke. Only reason it's off the road (new owner) now is because of some dodgy Italian electrics.....can't blame the Chinks for that.2 points

A bit like the "Sidewinder" (riders of a certain age may remember them) was used as a get out clause.2 points

Idealista has loads. Cheaper to rent a place for 6 months than take my lot on a one week holiday. Then when you factor in you can book the cheap midweek flights rather than the Saturday to Saturday dates holiday lets insist on your quids in. Plus no queuing. Worth a look. https://www.idealista.com1 point

Not sorted a will I mean I did, I insisted we did once we had kids. But then I met the bloke arranging our will and he was a mahoosive arsehole. I didn’t say a lot because Mr Slowly and I had decided what we wanted to do and written it down and they were Mr Slowlys family solicitors so he was doing the talking. Now I understand that people get distracted by looks and I look small and girly and was accidentally incidentally appearing weak n sweet but this bloke was soooooo rude. He looked me up and down and outright said I didn’t look capable of running a business, wouldn’t it be better to hand it back to his parents. I cut him a bit of slack based on some men being complete morons at judging character but then he decided the child care arrangements I wanted if my kids were under 18 were “unnecessarily complicated” (it was only two options!) and started rewriting and telling me what I would do with my kids, in fact I think you’d be better with a solicitor overseeing your affairs…. Well in front of this tesco school shirt wearing pencil pushing weedy puff of nothing Mrs Politeslowlycatchy disappeared and Mrs Gofuckyourselffast appeared and we left. He still typed it up, our version not his but funnily enough Ive never been back to sign it, never will.1 point

My BP was 86 0ver 56 before i went under, oxy saturation was 93%, i can use very little oxygen if i want too, the USAF conducted experiments in hypnosis that i did very well in, so i can slow my body functions down to stay under longer. Dont forget, oxygen is a corrosive, and our need for it is actually what killls you in the long term. Are you sure i want high saturation levels?1 point

Well I just put in a claim for a new tank for my T700 and it was sorted in less than a month. In the past I worked in a big mutli-franchise dealer in Bristol and they don't give a flying fuck in a lot of cases. I made the mistake of buying my Honda from that local dealer and bought a service package with it. I caught the wankers out when they didn't change the air-filter (amongst other things) as per service schedule. When I bought my T700 I went to a smaller dealer 40 miles from me which deals with Yamaha and their service has been exemplary. In a lot of the big dealers you are just a number, you don't get any customer service.1 point
