If we stop vote switching how are we going to get @XTreme's hopes up and then rip the rug from under his feet at the last minute5 points

I had a ride on a Bergman a few years ago and must admit to being a little shocked at how good it was. I'd knock it for the smaller wheels giving it less stability, and looking gay but thats it.4 points

Only one discerning person so far, appreciated the glint on my bike's rotor, and the subtle sunset light over the plains of the Ribatejo ...4 points

Different types of scoots, some you feel perched on, others (sports scoots) you feel more sat in........mine is a touring/commuting scoot, so sat sort of on. It's a ponderous beast, front end very vague, not feedback, rear (with the pivoting engine) either wallows or is rock solid if the springs are wound up....it does not inspire spirited riding, even though it will (book says) do 100mph.......I don't think I would like to be onboard at that speed.4 points

There'd be a mass panic if @yen_powell jumped in that!4 points

A few months ago I was at a bike shop here in Lisbon, belonging to a well known good racebike mechanic and builder, and noticed what I thought was strange. It was a big T-max with no fairing on, and you’re right, it does look quite motorcycle like. That one had a front fork and wheel+brake out of a Ducati, and the engine was being put together like a proper race engine, polished and friction treated everything… because apparently the current trend in Lisbon is streetracing with scooters, and that specific one was doing over 200kmh before the engine improvements.3 points

The likes of Lambrettas and Vespa you feel sat on.....it's a bit like sitting on a dining chair, and about as comfortable!.3 points

Yes, you tend to bobble up and down on the seat a little, however I bumped into a friend out there who rides scoots and he gave me a great tip that cured it.... Place your feet further forward on the forward foot rests, this wedges you into the scoot between the foot rests and back rest, works great, you feel much more secure rather than feeling like being a pea on top of the seat3 points

I am using the scoot less and less. My wife can't drive. Wife has not been pillion since shed had her knee done. In the car she can tell me if there is a rattle clunking or some strange noise. On the scoot I will only know when it goes pop and stops.3 points

They have put a 40mph restriction on it now, doesn't slow me down just means i'll be done for 40 over the speed limit instead of 203 points

I've found that the suspension (especially the rear shock) on the all the new Honda's I've ridden in the past 5 years has been built to a price. That includes, CRF250 Rally, CRF250 L , CRF1000 L , CRF100 DCT and NC750 X. The NC750 was so bad that I took it back after only 15 mins riding (it was a test ride). My Rally was transformed by a £280 YSS rear shock and I didn't have to do anything to the front end. Is there any talk on any of the forums about the suspension on the CB500X ?2 points

Or maybe I just need to get a few more Km under my belt on it? It's very different to my last bike, that I owned for 7 years.2 points
