A sunny autumn day, started kind of sad and having no will to make lunch at home, after some work I rode to my favourite place in the hills for a burger. On the way there, I took a dirt shortcut, only 3 or 4 kms but good fun, stopped for pictures just for you guys One of my favorite bits of road There will be a car rally tomorrow on that road in previous pictures, I don't know if that's the reason why but they fixed some of the bumps cause by tree roots pushing the road up, they put patches of tarmac "fixing it", they're smooth now which spoils my advantage over sports bikes , but those kind of fixes never last and it's bound to be a potholed mess after a winter or two. Lunch, on a deserted place that is filled with bikers and cyclists on sundays Being the season, I foraged for tonight's dessert It's a nice place to stop by Stopped by my local Dainese outlet for a coffee and went in to check winter pants, I have been riding in jeans for years but feel like having something waterproof and better for winter riding this year, ordered a special size as I'm shaped oddly, waiting to see what they come up with. On the way home I took a couple of dirt roads, only to find the really fast one approaching my town is closed for works, I home they're not surfacing it ... no pictures of that. Weather turned from a chill 15ยบ to a most excellent 23ยบ by then, returning from the hills, my choice for a t-shirt under the basic jacket proved right. Got home in a better mood than I left, and spent the following two or three hours pulling weeds out of my garden / wild field. Now finishing a beer and this report outside in freezing wind, ready to go inside cook some grub and have some red wine , such is the life in the southern Portuguese countryside.5 points

I like my K1200S, in fact itโs the second one Iโve owned but I donโt think Iโd buy another one, Iโd probably go for the K1300S which is a much more sorted bike overall. Or a Kawasaki Z1000SX which I like the look of.4 points

I'd buy this Beemer again......cos there's not a lot of choice these days if you want a big Thumper. It doesn't do anything brilliantly......it just pretty much adapts to whatever I need it to do. If I want to go on small trails.....it'll do it. If I needed it to commute around a city, it would do it. And if I needed to ride 1200 miles up to the Eurotunnel then it'll do that as well. So you can't ask much more than that really.4 points

My son is coming back from uni for a weekend. The sudden purchasing of ingredients for recipes I know he loves and a strong desire to cry leads me to believe I may have missed him a lot more than Ive acknowledged So definitely lots of cooking and laughter for me and a bit of reloading the bikes for the ferry on Sunday Looks like itll be nice weather.. for ducks!4 points

Let me know and feel free to share your reasons, I would love to hear them. For me it is one easy yes and one not so easy yes. My Honda CB500F is exactly what you expect, a happy Honda that just does what it is meant to do, and it is super fun, so a big Yes for me on that one, I would buy one again. As for my Royal Enfield Himalayan, well, there have been times when I have wanted to leave it in the forest and just walk away. Logic would tell me to say No on this one, considering the build quality and all the work I have done to make a NEW bike run well. BUT, looking back at the skills, lessons, adventures and confidence gained with that bike, I would have to say Yes, I would buy one again, especially for the kind of riding I enjoy doing.3 points

I've said this before i was talking to a guy on a new GS years ago and he asked how many bikes i had and at the time i had 5 he said i wish i had enough cash for 5 bikes i told him if he sold his GS he would as all 5 of my bikes cost less to buy, tax, MOT and insure than his GS cost to buy, you just got to be willing not to have the latest and greatest3 points

I would not give up on my bike. But if I were to buy it again i would give the normal GS another couple of test rides before ruling it out.3 points

I would buy the ninja again yeah its all I need from a bike apart from the comfort side of things though im sure with some conditioning I could increase the distance between rest stops from around the current 60 or so miles up to maybe 120 or 130, more of it depends on how fast I can ride at3 points

I think walnuts but I don't know the difference between them, sadly not from my garden but from the local grocery store. It's a very typical autumn fruit in Portugal, more so in the interior. Iยดve been wanting to eat this since the ride last week to the mountains where I saw lots and lots of trees loaded with them.2 points

I remember it well, quite a few of my school went there to help. I go there every year on this day or a few days either side to have my own minutes silence. I like Alan @Specs despise how the government took a large amount of money from the apperal fund. I've worked in the area alot and have seen the after math, I had customers in the area who had gone to the school themselves and had lost relatives (Brothers and sister etc) .2 points

There's every possibility but I think its probably in the terms and conditions of sale that you do not under any circumstances touch the stalk with arrows on it2 points
