sheesh, it must be winter and most of y'all cant ride anymore. its BOTM, because this site is run on 4-bit computers and can only handle 4 digit abbreviations. It really means (and is understood) that it means best f'n bike picture of the month. If you wish to argue the point, then i will point out that starting next Thursday, i will be in Baja, on a motorcycle, in the warmth, drinking tequila and eating $1.00 tacos. I hope that stings you all a little8 points

Great minds.. or just you and me Only thing is I haven’t insured my bikes cos the auto renewal was £270 per bike (for two separate policies) which is a massive hike and the MCN emailed cheapest quote with the same damn insurance company is £116 so I cancelled the auto renew to give me a time to find a good price which Ive not yet done. That means the 125 is the only bike ready to go.. or not who knows it is chinese I think its the 125s turn in the sun.. the icy cold sun but the sun5 points

When it gets like that I prefer to quietly hike through the forest and enjoy the snow. I never mastered walking in snow shoes, so that would be fun too! . ohhh...maybe some cross-country skis......yaya I don't always need to be on a bike to have fun!5 points

Most of Canada gets proper snow. Here on the west coast it can get cold and have proper snow, but only lasts for a week though, then it turns into rain again. Most of the time it only lasts a day, or melts right away. I think I will be heading north in the future, I would like to live in the snow again!4 points

Yesterday had to pick up some medical products at the Veterinarian Hospital I work with, normally 28 kms, but decided to go the longer way round, including a ride up the highest elevation near me at 395m. It was very windy up there, but it was worth it for the views and the peaceful feeling I enjoyed there. On previous visits, mainly with @Pedro, the location always provided us with big views for good pictures! And because it is my intention to not miss out on BOTM in December, I have collected some material!! On a previous post, mine or Pedro's, not sure, we talked a little about this location and its history. One of the most not-so-amusing moments of my incursions into off-roading was going up this hill a couple of years back! Suddenly there was no more tarmac road, just dirt and loose rock for the Pirelli's to deal with! Here is the video. This road is now fully tarmac, thank God! At least for me, others AVDs will disagree!! The road winds it self through wine country and the vineyards, now naked from their leaves, but still very pretty and the land hugs us with its undulations. It is actually a very pretty region this, with well established wine houses that produce many litters of nice wine. It has its own route of Wine helping the tourists find find a good tipple!! On the road to Torres Vedras, the N8, a new bikers cafe has opened and I was able to enjoy a lovely pork steak sandwich and the traditional expresso, the cafezinho! Lovely crowd that, like me, lived in the UK for almost 20 years. Its called Route N8 Cafe, which is cool!! If any of you ever visits this region, for a sure a good place to stop. Here are some pictures! And to end the day, took advantage of a gorgeous Sunset, spreading a little more magic over the Triumph!3 points

Just bought the Schuberth C4 pro. Apparently the C3 is good, C4 is crap and the C4 pro is good so long as you dont want to use the integrated coms kit that wiggles lose from its connectors (I hate coms anyway). Its extremely comfortable (for me more so than the neotec 2) and the flip is very easy to use one handed. Its a snug fit round the base of the helmet so I find it much quieter that the neotec which as some speeds would whistle. I tried it on at the same time as the Caberg Duke II which I really wanted to prefer what with it being a third of the price (£135 V’s £340) and I think nicer looking but there was no contest, schuberth was instantly a better helmet and by such a margin the price was well worth it. I would have liked the C5 which is supposedly the dogs but thats back up to the £600 mark and its release is the only reason plebs like me can fork out for the now reduced C4 Pro Safety wise I can confirm it stops face removal as on its very first outing my head checked out the quality of stones used in Spanish gravel traps. They are stoney for anyone wondering.3 points

No there's only me.......but I was just pointing out that anybody with any official role on the forum cannot be voted for on MOTY. It's demonstrating continuity with how it's always been. Have no concerns that @Six30 might have got the Mod gig!2 points
