Yesterday I pulled the bog to bits. Flusher was not flushing and the turds wouldn't go down. New flusher fitted but the pan exit was almost down to the size of a 50p piece. Took about an hour chipping away at said blockage with screwdrivers and the like to get it sorted. Never seen anything like it, I'm guessing its something to do with the hard water here, bloody stinks too. All back together now and working as it should so today I'll be mostly in the bath.9 points

A Winter's Chill is in the Air Now that December is here, so is the chill in the air. While I was out and about the other day, I stopped by a local pier to enjoy the view and take in a bit of sun, as it can become rare to see this time of year. The moment I stepped out into the open I felt the crisp coastal air on my face and remembered, it certainly was December now. Along with the cool air there was a coolness to the colours around me. The water seems to take on a deep dark blue when it gets cold, making it look even deeper and colder. The sky matched the water with a certain cool blue you see only when it is cold. Even the old tree that had come ashore after a recent storm looked cool in the blue light. I managed to find some fall flowers that looked like they might be enjoying their last few days of sun. They were not the prettiest of flowers and most likely were looked over for the bigger picture scenery, but I certainly appreciated the small bits of yellow amongst the blue. Later on in the day, the sun drew me to the water again. There is something about how the sun dances across the water that can hold my attention like a cozy camp fire or rolling waves. The sun was low in the sky and warm on my face. A welcome dose of vitamin D for sure. The day was now getting on and I started back home to get warm by the fire. Before leaving I took a minute to sit at this local picnic spot and imagined all the energy that would fill this place on a warm summer day. But today, a cool day in early December, it was just me, a few quiet picnic tables and the sun, all watching the waves roll in.7 points

So true, I venture into forests full of wild beasts that could eat me, just for fun...... ...ok, well most of the time it is just crazy squirrels and birds, but there is always a chance to bump into a mountain lion, bear, coyote, etc.... Adrenaline is good!5 points

......I've been playing the role of the Omega Man! There's still empty, crumbling buildings in a post-apocalyptic landscape, humanoids still walk the Earth, and a Pandemic still rages! And even worse......the weather's now turned to shit! Today it was 8C and very windy......not my ideal conditions by any means. But Ride Reports have been a bit thin on the ground lately so I had to step up to the plate! Cos there's no hope of any of you Casuals manning the fuck up that's for sure. Never been to this place before.....in fact it doesn't even show up on a Map. So I can't even tell you where it is! These buildings are very similar in design to another remote location that I've been to! It also has the same three pillars that the other place has......no idea what they were for! Walked round the corner of the main building and there was a rough driveway built......exactly the same as the other one! But directly opposite the second housing block there was a decent condition industrial unit......so something must still be going on down there! I might be out again tomorrow for a short time because it's a National Holiday......so there may be more to follow! You Casuals just put your feet up while I get the job done!5 points

Had my booster today which is good because Spain want a minimum of two weeks from your second vaccination and I can imagine the hassle at the airport when your booster isnt two weeks gone! Had the flu jab at the same time in the opposite arm. The flu arm is fine the Covid arm feels like lead. Got asked how old I was cos she didn’t think I was old enough for the group I was booked in with, how nice and amazing what sunglasses a mask and can do for your ego4 points

A list of garages selling E5 according to the sun newspaper so it could well be rubbish, dont know why theyve stuck Asda on there just to say they dont sell it but hey at least you know not to bother stopping there. Shell From today, Shell V-Power will be the company's "protection grade" fuel - meaning it will remain as E5. It will be available to the "vast majority" of Shell's around 1,000 UK forecourts. Shell FuelSave will be the garage's E10 petrol and the fuel pumps will be labelled with stickers. Customers might also notice government leaflets and posters will be on display at Shell forecourts. You can check which forecourts provide E5 petrol by using Shell's site locator. BP E10 will be the standard grade of petrol at BP's retail sites across the UK, and be labelled as such. But E5 will remain available at BP sites that carry two grades of petrol. This is the "great majority" of BP garages, the firm said. BP's Premium Ultimate grade will continue to be E5, and will have stickers informing customers. BP has an online search tool to allow you to find your nearest garage. Esso Around 200 of Esso's 1,200 branded service stations in the UK will no longer sell E5 petrol. The remaining 1,000 sites will continue to sell E5 as Synergy Supreme+ 99 premium petrol. A spokesperson for the forecourt operator said much of the Supreme+ 99 contains no ethanol at all. The only exceptions are in Devon, Cornwall, North Wales, North England and Scotland "where for technical supply reasons our premium petrol may contain up to 5% ethanol". The spokesperson said: "Legislation requires us to place E5 labels on pumps that dispense unleaded petrol with ‘up to 5% ethanol’, including those that contain no ethanol. "That is why we display E5 labels on all of our Synergy Supreme+ 99 pumps even though many don’t contain any ethanol at all." You can find a list of Esso petrol stations online. Texaco At Texaco garages, E10 petrol will be called Texaco 95 Octane Premium Unleaded. E5 will continue to be available at many forecourts in Texaco Supreme Unleaded, the company said in its guidance to customers. Petrol will be clearly labelled as either E10 or E5 to avoid confusion. You can find your nearest Texaco petrol station online. Sainsbury's Sainsbury's also said that most of its more than 300 sites will continue to sell E5. A spokesperson for the supermarket told The Sun: "We will keep customers updated and all pumps will be clearly labelled to help customers make informed decisions about the fuel that they buy." You can search for your nearest Sainsbury's petrol station online. Tesco Tesco will offer E5 petrol at around 90% of its 600 garages. That means there will be approximately 60 Tesco forecourts that do not offer the fuel from September 1. Drivers can find their closest Tesco petrol station online. Asda None of Asda's 320 forecourts will offer E5 petrol, the supermarket confirmed to The Sun. That means the 600,000 drivers who are unable to use E10 will not be able to fill up at Asda's garages. You can find a list of Asda forecourts here.2 points

I'm told the higher octane Esso has no E at all. I've bee filling up with it in case the bikes are still for a good while, like they have been.2 points

Close ratio, lets just say you'll get less drop in the revs and you move up each gear compered to the norm. You'd normally have them on a race engine with a narrow power band.2 points

Ah yes you’d get on with Mr Slowly, they gave him morphine and then rang me at 10pm saying he was “in need of speaking to me” Utterly off his tits, totally detached from our normal shared reality. Hilarious.2 points

Today was day 1 of my trafficy type scheme. It should have started yesterday but the road was closed for Thames Water to fix a bust water pipe (first picture). After waiting for a nice electrician to disconnect the power supply we smashed out an island to make the road a bit wider to give us working room and me and Jim (Irish Jim) set out my echelon parking bays which I could do now I had the parking suspended. I pinched the white globe and lantern for my mate's garden lighting or a planter. I met the pair who will be doing the building, two east Europeans. The one who could speak English (there is only ever one in each pair) said I was to call him Jimmy and to call his mate Eddie as no one can pronounce their proper names. I was accosted by quite a few locals who wanted to know what we were doing and one lady who wants a bench put back that was there years ago. I promised her a new bench in the Spring, she said it has to be a cast iron one with wooden slats because that is the type she likes?? I was also accosted by 5 or 6 people who wanted to know why they had no water, they thought our JCB had hit a pipe. The angled bays in question are in my drawing below. I set them out and then got one of the contractors electric vans to park in the first one to make sure it fitted. You won't see them in the pictures but I got Jimmy (2) to put small saw cuts at critical points in the road so if the paint wears off we can remark it easily. He will them make his own cuts 500mm outside those so if the JCB smashes too much out when we do that bit he can still put his kerb lines in the right place.2 points

I side effect of taking morphine for me is projectile green vomit Just ask the lovely Guyanan nurse in Wexham Park hospital who I baptised when I was in intensive care. Don't ever give me one of those feckin Morphine pumps again, not because of the vomit but the feckin shit I saw in my dreams. It just confirmed to me that anyone who takes drugs like that recreationally to get that sort of effect is off their trolley1 point
