I remember breaking down another time on my VFR only down the bottom of the hill from my house my mate had a small van but it wouldn't fit in so i came up with the bright idea of putting the front wheel in the back of the van holding the front brake on and my mate was going to drive up the hill slowly but as we pulled off a bloody copper pulled in behind us. He got out shaking his head and said i don't think so lads, ended up pushing it home it nearly killed us3 points

Think Mandi would go up the wall if she could see the kids. Samantha's coming home Christmas Eve. Not sure what the boys have planned yet but sure we'll see them at some point. One of Mandis brothers is heading down for a short week with his family too, staying in North Norfolk.3 points

When I was young and single it was great.......and when the kids were young it made it all worthwhile. Now it's just a pain in the ass! If it wasn't for fucking Covid my eldest boy would have come over from Poland and we'd have seen our grandkids for the first time. But those stupid Slavic fucks won't wear masks, loads of them won't get vaccinated, plus the Catholic Church has moral objections to it.....which explains why it's rampant there. So it's just too risky for the little ones to travel in that sort of environment. The youngest boy in NL can't come over cos there's high Covid figures there too. Plus his girlfriend's father is seriously ill, so it's not the right time to make the trip. That means another Xmas on our own here! Joy of fucking joys! And it'll either piss down or snow throughout the period to add more misery! Anyway.......what you lot got planned?2 points

I don't celebrate Christmas and I don't have any family really, so I normally try to come up with a constructive project, as I do take a few extra days off of work. Not sure what the project will be yet, but I'm sure it will be good.....2 points

We were looking into heading back to the UK to my mum's place, but with all the current travel rules and potential new ones we decided that we'll stay here this year. It'll be quiet, but we'll try to make the most of it. Probably do a Zoom call with the family over the two days.2 points

I'm going to Shoreham by Sea and north Devon over Christmas, I'm praying for a snow and rain free Christmas because if I take a car all the roads will grind to a halt so I'd rather ride the bike, I'm cursed that way.1 point

You know, I had a feeling you would chirp in as soon as I asked @Buckster the question. Thanks for staying consistent... You seem to have some feelings you need to work out, did something bad happen to you on a bus once? You are in a safe place, feel free to share....1 point

It's the only one I could find of that song. Soul boss nova. I'm not on bookfase anymore but could view it. I've got the prom recorded but not a great copy but it's often played although I have to skip some bits. Haven't heard that one so will look into it later, got The Dude.1 point

A Winter's Chill is in the Air Now that December is here, so is the chill in the air. While I was out and about the other day, I stopped by a local pier to enjoy the view and take in a bit of sun, as it can become rare to see this time of year. The moment I stepped out into the open I felt the crisp coastal air on my face and remembered, it certainly was December now. Along with the cool air there was a coolness to the colours around me. The water seems to take on a deep dark blue when it gets cold, making it look even deeper and colder. The sky matched the water with a certain cool blue you see only when it is cold. Even the old tree that had come ashore after a recent storm looked cool in the blue light. I managed to find some fall flowers that looked like they might be enjoying their last few days of sun. They were not the prettiest of flowers and most likely were looked over for the bigger picture scenery, but I certainly appreciated the small bits of yellow amongst the blue. Later on in the day, the sun drew me to the water again. There is something about how the sun dances across the water that can hold my attention like a cozy camp fire or rolling waves. The sun was low in the sky and warm on my face. A welcome dose of vitamin D for sure. The day was now getting on and I started back home to get warm by the fire. Before leaving I took a minute to sit at this local picnic spot and imagined all the energy that would fill this place on a warm summer day. But today, a cool day in early December, it was just me, a few quiet picnic tables and the sun, all watching the waves roll in.1 point
