  1. So having just hung my boots up begrudgingly to rugby i now need something else to fill my time with and having had a long hard think I see no other option but to look in to motorcycle club racing, I have my old zx6r j1 just sitting around in the garage so last night I decided that I would buy the necessary parts to make it in to a track bike though im sure I will need some more than the race fairing, screen, undertray, hugger, levers and rearsets and chain and sprocket kit that I have just ordered. From memory I need a new battery, lever guards and a lock wire kit. I know I also need a 1 piece leathers, boots, gloves and lid but they are easy enough to pick up. Now I need to find some sponsorship!! So if anyone wouldn't mind it would be greatly appreciated Oh and this will be the build page so everyone can see whats going wrong

  5. We have new lodgers, they've come in from the cold just for now, not stinky house mice but cute, tiny Wood Mice Funny little fekers, I have a bow of decorative woodland stuff, pine cones, conkers etc and found one of the conkers on the conservatory floor with a tiny nibble mark on it, I placed it back up on the shelf in it's wicker basket, the next day it vanished After that a "super ball" magically appeared from nowhere right where the mice live under the skirting board in the conservatory, we dont have any super balls so no idea how they got it in here, funny cutie fekers They will leave of their own accord in the Spring

  9. No contest! 1972 Kawasaki 900 Z1A. I was at the bike show in London in 1972 when it was unveiled! For an 18 year old with a Suzuki 250 Hustler to see this was mindblowing! Biggest regret was I never owned one.....I just couldn't afford it.......it was about 1250 quid otr. I didn't even earn that in a year! I test rode one though......I just couldn't believe the power it had for the time.

  12. Back in the day I loved the look of these other than that long bit of plastic behind the rear seat. Always felt it was too long. This however ticks my box. (No puns please).

  13. One of mine was the Triumph Speed Four. A real frankenstein of a bike. Based on the TT600, but trying to be a smaller Speed Triple. It didn't have much going for it in the looks department, but a 600cc 4-inline 100bhp engine in a 170kg bike, it went pretty good. Fully adjustable suspension and some pretty good brakes, so it handled and stopped well too. I had a lairy orange one for a while, hence my Tango forum name, and it was only the clip-on bars that I just couldn't live with and it had to be revved to get it really interesting. This was Mandy's one, which her daughter still has.

  16. My KTM640 Adventure had a left hand kickstart. Not a great thing for me, luckily it was leccy start as well. I only kick started it once , used my right leg. I was so happy that I’d started it that I did a little jig around the car park

  19. I'm not too sure this year, @Buckster has shown a sweet side, even though he hides it well..... (He can also strike a pose very well......lol) He will call me a bad name now, to try and hide the niceness..... There is someone else who I think deserves it more this year, but no names mentioned......he knows who he is..... ....and what he has done...

  28. It’s the bit where you have to put it on every insurance renewal for feckin years even though it’s not your fault that gets on my pip. Every renewal I’m reminded of the tosspot who drove into the back of my car and refused to acknowledge he’d done any damage so after initially saying to go ahead with the work his insurance company then said they wouldn’t pay. Grrrr. Id try n keep things off the books for that reason alone, unless they’re a snake like the bloke in this scenario is then I’d be more than happy for him to pay ridiculously inflated prices for a hire car

  29. I would nominate Buck, just to annoy him, but I think @Slowlycatchymonkey deserves a nomination for the gravel trap episode. I don't think she could possibly win it, due to the quality of the competition, but she does deserve to be a nominee! What!? well just getting nominated is a big thing in the oscars...

  32. Hubs is working with Kim. Shes on L plates and he's giving her advice on getting her test done and what bike to get.... so she's bought herself a Tracer... like my husbands not passed her test yet. Last night he gives her his bike to have a go on and she dropped it. Part of me (the evil bit) LAUGHING MY TINY TITS OFF. The other part....Furious !!! Only this weekend he told me shes a good driver (purposefully not using rider) but she's over confident.....still gives her his bike that was absolutely scratch free apart from a scratch on the top box that occurred when WE dropped it through the greenhouse but we wont mention that. Anyhoo its proper fecked now.

  33. He flounced.......because of me, @Tym, and @Buckster. But it's not the first time......he's flounced from every forum we've ever had from 2004 on. So he's got form! What you say Tym and Buck?

  34. “The battery is claimed to last for up to 40 minutes of intense motocross use or 6 hours of recreational riding. And it will take 1-2 hours to recharge.” Hmm so battery life varies between 40 mins and 6 hours I really hope the 6hrs isnt yet another overly optimistic battery claim.

  35. Those stats cant fail to be fun. I love the ICE but Im not so old Im going to turn my nose up at something beneficial, especially if its rips strips off what’s currently available. Your not being disloyal by looking at electric bikes, no-ones gonna take your ICE away. My father in law built the house I currently live in, it used to be my husbands grandmothers. When he built it she refused to move in because she didnt want or need that new fangled central heating…. Eventually after being told it didnt ever have to be used ever she moved in. Within a year that central heating was on full blast from October to May for the rest of her life… just saying.

  39. I was going to nominate Grasshopper too but that would be pointless as she's already been nominated so I'm going to nominate @yen_powell Not neccessarily the most prolific contributer but his posts are always either interesting or hilarious and definately always worth reading. He also uses his bike properly, ie: all the time, and does huge mileage on them which is what proper bikers do, none of this namby pamby "don't ride in the rain" crap!
