As i waited at the traffic lights to cross the border into England this morning on my way to work i noticed it was -3.5°c outside but didn't feel that cold when i got out to do a bit. Tomorrow i think i will be out on the 650 with a group going up to mid wales and back on and off the tarmac.4 points

I know one, as well. One hell of an offroad rider on a GS, too. You can see him in his part time work on the Netflix series - Another Life, Season 2.3 points

I’m surprised you bother with a pellet burner, as a Taffy I thought you’d be more likely to go down the local pit and dig out some coal.3 points

Since most people dont ride much more people should just lease a motorcycle, give it back when the lease is up, owning a modern vehicle out of warranty isnt financially a smart thing to do anymore.3 points

Yes but more importantly for the Rally , no limit after January 21st Saturday: Numbers allowed to attend an outdoor event will rise from 50 to 500 Friday 21 January: Crowds allowed to return to sporting events, paving the way for rugby Six Nations full houses in Cardiff, and no limits on those attending outdoor events2 points

Yeah, sort of, about 25 years ago. And the street version was only available in Poland or something like that. Bare minimum to make the race version legal for the superbike class. That picture looks like a computer rendering of the VR1000? It's been too long for me to spot the changes but either the joke is Harley keeps reintroducing old bikes, or someone has updated the VR1000 in photoshop for some reason. As for the real one, If it had been available in the USA and somewhat similar in price to a Ducati I would have owned one. As it was, the few I saw available in the USA after the fact were about $65k if I remember right. I've forgotten all the details but I seem to recall Harely didn't handle the development of the bike very well. Kinda pissed me off but like I said, this many years later I've forgotten the details. EDIT: Never mind. Looking at a real VR1000 that's someone's digital rendition of something inspired by it. Still looks old though. Missing it's winglets. All the cool kids use winglets now.2 points

It’s no coincidence that nympho’s are messaging since my bike was on the front page.2 points

No not that 180 but it's been 180 days since i last rode a bike so today I needed to put that right. @Slowlycatchymonkey said the weather was going to be fab but it bloody wasn't when I left home at 11.30 am , i couldn't see in front of my face and it didn't get any better for a while.............. Anyway, perhaps her forecast was right because as I got nearer to her manor the sun started to poke it's head through the fog. By time I got to Chew Valley lake it was lovely............ and the various birdies were enjoying it as well................... I rode up over the Mendip hills and down through the old rode into Wells where it was starting to get positively balmy. From there I rode on to Shepton Mallet where I stopped to have a gander at the old prison, I have actually been in there about 38 years ago but not as a guest of her majesty you understand............ From there I took the Frome road but stpped at Doulting to have a sandwich and a coffee from my flask . While I was there I got a phone call from my mate Big Tone and we agreed to meet up for a coffee at Farrington Farm. I stopped to say hello to this lot on the way in ............. and then we sat in a strange sort of hobbit house for our coffee, Tone is one big hobbit at 6' 4'' tall From there it was a short 18 miles back home . It was great to be out riding again and I may get to repeat the exercise again on Saturday2 points

agreed. I'm hoping the Jan 26 big release introduces the second one! The motor in the black bike looks just like their new motor in the Pan American and new Sportster. so, either a good photoshop, or we may get a really good looking HD after all these years!1 point

Not sure about parts availability after all these years though Grace. And they're pretty thirsty on fuel too......though not as much as the H1 500. From that era in that sector the RD350 is the best one to get.1 point

The photo shows the original prison which is a tourist attraction nowadays, the modern prison is next door but I'm not sure if it's still used. My leg feels pretty good, gear-changes were ok and I got home to find out that they can re-fit my original socket tomorrow so that should be much better .1 point
