At least here, it's because people have gotten fed up with making an effort, and are taking covid as something that just is going to be no matter what.4 points

You are obsessed with the thought of me in Lycra, you may as well just buy a scooter and offer your arse to the next dago midget you find.3 points

yeah I heard about it a lot too when I had the transalp, that and anodised wheels rotting from the inside out. I never had any problem with it though and it was 26 years old when I sold it, though to be fair I never made a point of looking for problems...3 points

A lot of people are acting like it's all over now. 691 deaths over the 24hr period up to yesterday. If an airplane crashed in every country every day, killing everyone on board, people would be up in arms about it! People would stop flying. I just don't get how so many people are desensitised to it?3 points

My grandmother has a saying, inspired in the way a chicken offers her rear upwards when it's sexy time, "tão puta como uma galinha", which translates to "as much of a whore as a chicken". It sounds dirtier in Portuguese3 points

She'd make a great PM..........she's certainly thick enough! I think that Putin made some remark about her being a bit dim?2 points

The main complaint heard prior to the Pan Ams release was the headlight nacelle. It works in person, but pictures dont like it. And, it is a corporate look as all their rolling barcaloungers have the same massive light complex. I forgot to mention that the HD motor should be rated A+!! it was a beast on the road, once they finally allowed us to turn off rain mode.2 points

The problem with that statement is we would be letting tens of thousands of people die unnecessarily just so the majority of people can carry on as normal which doesn't strike me as being very humane and the other problem is that one of those that die could be me or you2 points

have ridden the Pan American twice now. once offroad (sort of). I would say that HD has a great bike there. Not at the level of the GS, but they dont have 40 years of experience with that type of bike. My own dislikes (too strong a word) is that the screen font is too small and there are too many buttons on the grips. ie - too much electronic gizmos. Fortunately, they have a macro-style button that lets you cycle the screen thru the normal - fuel, mileage, range, etc. The self lowering suspension is nice, but not needed for non-short types. I would give HD an A- on this bike. Still trying to decide when/if i get one. Funny thing is that the orange color was my least favorite until i saw it in person.2 points

It's things like this that almost convince me that the danger's real. Not that I don't believe there's something out there. But why would you take you new born to a party at No10, is he really that thick.2 points

The chart is from the official covid tracker app here. I don't know how many people here have died from medical mistakes during that period, but I very much doubt that its 300 a day. I guess the question is, what would the government gain from releasing incorrect statistics? They want the economy to get moving again, so reporting increasing trend of deaths is not in their interest? Surely they'd downplay it?2 points

That's pretty cool but you'd probably say that the Osmonds are gay , whereas that lead singer in GFR looks gayer than a gay person from Upper Gaytown2 points

It doesn't surprise me that the Harley is really good, Harley have serious know how and can make any type of bike they want and make it good. I have only seen one of these though, in black, and didn't care much for it. A few things make me smile because of journalists, though, they always act like dakar riders testing these bikes, if one would frequently ride proper fast off-road one would buy other bikes with better off-road manners. I would like to see a proper comparison with nice tires on twisty bumpy roads, that's where it's at.2 points

I know that's a strange title......but this is quite a strange occurrence. Because normally I get an approximate location of abandoned villages, buildings etc via internet searches, or through scanning Google Maps and Google Earth. Well this one came from neither of those sources......it was just something I stumbled across following farm tracks on the Granada/Almeria border. I have no idea which province it's in as there are no signposts in places like that, and I don't even have a name for the village either. Because it doesn't actually exist anywhere. I'm wondering if it's one of those mythical Ghost Villages that only appears once a year or something? Anyway.....wherever it is, and whatever it may be called, this one was very unusual! Firstly I did about 20kms up some rough farm tracks...... And there it was! Now this wasn't just a few bits of rubble......there were even deserted streets. This seemed to be the main street running through it...... Empty buildings everywhere......many of whom weren't as old as the ones I normally visit. Had a look inside the ones that were accessible...... This was probably the largest area of abandoned properties that I've ever visited......yet there's no reference to it's actual existence anywhere. The bike got quite dusty and sandy covering this area, so once I got back to town it was straight to the Jet Wash. However, they'd run out of fucking water. No water cuts in town........it's just their car wash has no water! Don't fucking ask! So my day consisted of stumbling across an abandoned village that doesn't seem to have existed......and a Jet Wash that has no water! For no apparent reason!1 point
