End of May/start of June my plan is to meet up in Zaragoza with a couple of mates from the UK. They’re taking three days to get there but I can do it in one so that’s a good deal for me. From there, the plan is to head west across the top of Spain, taking the smaller roads and just explore with no set plans. We’ll have about six days together and then they’ll get the ferry back to the UK from Bilbao while I head south to home.4 points

When was i on Guam for $20 Alex....priest sent me and 3 other boys into church to pray for our sinners, while i sat there i looked up and said the virgin mary statue moved, the other kids agreed of course why not and went and told the priest, next thing i know they are carrying her statue around the streets of Agana and the whole island is in the parade. Just one more reason to keep your mouth shut in church. True story.4 points

Looks good mate, it’s well over forty years since I’ve owned a kickstart bike but I’ve had a little bit of practice more recently on XR250’s………….let’s hope I master the technique quickly to reduce the bruising.3 points

He won't be going anywhere Bob.....he always comes out with that stuff but never does anything. Doesn't even fire the van up. And anyway, he'll never get through the 20 mile queue at the ports.......but you know, will of the people and all that.3 points

Tomorrow I'm heading to the other side of Pai to try a trail which is supposed to run along close to the Myanmar border. If we succeed we get to eat pizza in Pai, if we don't succeed we get to sleep on the mountain again. Should be good. KLX230 and CRF450RL. Here's hoping my clutch holds out this time - but we've got the two rope just in case3 points

It’s what is left of the gates to Hatton House, the arch was built in the mid 14th century so a mere 670 years old or so. The house fell into disrepair and was finally demolished in 1955.2 points

Just been doing a bit of research into the journey I'd have to make if the shit hits the fan! It's about 2000 miles each way.........and I'd aim to do a 1000 miles a day. I may not be able to do that sort of schedule these days as I ain't getting any younger, but that'll be my target. If it looks like it'll go to 3 days (based on my progress on the first day).......then I'll look at a stop in a service area in Lyon, and on the second day in Prague! Now before you ask why don't they take a flight?......I'll repeat that despite the fact that the youngest grandson was two last week, they never bothered to get him a passport. They've applied now but it could be weeks before they receive it. And also, depending on the situation there, just bear in mind that the Russians have form for shooting commercial aircraft down. I know it's a bit of a stretch......but you can't discard that possibility.2 points

I wanted to go back to Norway but this covid thing has messed up any plans I had. Have already done the NW500 or the best parts of it several times, and Fred will tell you that it's camper van central up there. I went up to Skye in a borrowed van over Xmas, thinking that it would be quiet, but everybody else must have had the same idea! Shit happens. With fuel costing what it is, it makes my flesh creep just thinking how much it'd cost to do the trip that I did to Norway again. That was 6.5k miles. That's about 590l assuming 50 mpg. In Norway that's about £2/l, so about £1200. Not cheap when you factor in the increased cost of accommodation and food. If the conflict escalates or spreads, then any European travel plans are academic anyway, I'll have to go to Scotland again.2 points

Got three girlfriends that are keen to ride the long way round over to a mates place in Chatel (ski resort next to Avoriaz in the French Alps) which has been set for the end of April but I have a feeling the lack of a volunteer to take on all the crappy organising part of the deal means thatll get shelved for later on! If it happens then great if not when Mr Slowly and I ride the bikes back for their MOTS end of June we’re going to take our time and ride through the French Alps and stop off for a few days. We’re going to Nick Sanders Mini Mach and if the weathers good will take some time to go round the coast n castles of Wales on our way. October Im revving up to go to Morocco. Nothing major just Marrakesh via Casablanca in a zig zag fashion. Mr Slowly has more than warmed to the idea so.. Also I really want to redo the NC500 I was blown away by the Wesr Coast, theres not another place with views like that but that might be a bit too much to squeeze in. We’ll see. @Tango if you make it to Petes let me know Ill bring Mr Slowly over for a cup of tea or you’re welcome to have a break from the Ginge and come over to Salobrena.2 points

Amazingly it dried up enough for me to give the bike a run up to Fadrique......a round trip of 30 miles. Enough to get it warmed up to clear out any condensation and charge the system a bit. It was about 10C and windy, but I had to do it as it's not likely to see the light of day again for another two weeks.2 points
