The Amazon river runs for thousands of miles. At some points, it runs through areas of the rain forest that are almost untouched and have been barely explored. Because of the porous limestone in these areas, the river water leaks through the stone and travels deep into the earth, and forms underground pools almost a mile below the surface. Over thousands of years, small blind transparent fish have lived and evolved in these pools. These fish have never seen the sun or the surface and have never been seen by the human eye, these fish care more about @XTreme’s next bike than I do.4 points

My current bike has an Austrian engine assembled in China. The next bike does not have an Austrian engine and is not assembled in China. It also doesn't have an Indian engine assembled in a lockup behind a Madras curry house.3 points

I made it back from the Isle of Wight tranny run bike rally. Stan the Tran was magnificent as usual. The last band on Sunday night had people quietly distributing song lyrics set to the tune of 'Stand By Your Man' to sing to him and his wife as a surprise. STAND BY YOUR STAN was a musical masterpiece. He got a bit tearful, he has had 2 rallies cancelled by Covid etc and lots of trouble getting it going again this year. Apparently a light aircraft's wheels were only a few feet above my head as I drove into rally control which is next to a grass runway. Never heard it with my earplugs in and engine running. I visited a monastery and sat in a church with orange windows on Saturday, the light inside was something else. The monastery and church were built by local bricklayers and builders using cheap Belgian bricks and it was bloody gorgeous inside. I didn't have the heart to whip out a camera as I sat inside quietly taking it all in. The grounds were really nice as well, not even an admission charge to wander around. https://quarrabbey.org/monastery/vocation/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-monk/1 point

At the moment other countries still want their version of the PLF filled out before they'll let you in so you would have to do the French version to get on the chunnel/ferry to France. By June hopefully more will have dropped the requirement. Its the PLF to get into the UK thats been dropped. So you won't have any hassle getting back in. That might seem minor but the return journey is more stressful if you if you dont have access to a printer and are relying on finding things on your phone which tech being what it is always lets you down when there's a massive queue and you need it most On my first return (when all restrictions were in place) I had used the government website to get proof of vaccination QR codes but then for the return journey I needed to use the app which involved facial scanning and passports pics. I then got an email saying thankyou for your application it can take up to 48hrs to varify your account. My flight was only 24 hours away, that wasn't much of a laugh! So yer hopefully all heading in the right direction.1 point
