So my direction has changed somewhat with the trackbike thing yes I started out looking at turning my old j1 ninja in to a trackbike but what with one thing or another I didn't get the time to complete the project so its up om ebay right now as I have secured myself an already prepared 2002 aprilia rsv mille which I will be picking up on Saturday from completelymotorcycles in Gloucester.....£1600 ebay auction which I thought a damned good deal for what it is!! I will soon be getting it to a nearby track to get acquainted with it and see what it is made of.....and fingers crossed not binning it on the first go!4 points

No word from the dealer today......wondering if they've found anything else that needs replacing? I'm quite happy for them to change the clutch if they want. Or the final drive. Or even the engine!3 points

One last thing to do to the bike then. Oil and filter. Yamalube? I'm asking for trouble and probably a slipping clutch. But it was given to me (by some heathen step dad), so I'm not allowed to complain. Then off for one last shakedown run to South Leverton with a bunch of loons. That was my burger he's got his grubby mitts and gob round. Cooked by this gent. Plenty of onions please, and curry sauce. I liked the look of this yellow one, and I put plenty of it on the burger for a nose bending sensation. I should probably make a separate post for such an adventure really. Look at my bike gleaming in the overcast light: Oh wait, no. It was further along.3 points

Can you hear that? The sound of Juan Jesus Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, working late as the shops delivery driver, falling asleep at the wheel, driving over the cliff, with the most perfect GS that ever was.2 points

fortunately I have ear plugs at the ready. think I might need them both on and off the bike. Im virtually set and ready to start packing, kinda. sorta. ready-ish. just collecting the stuff I think I might need and then whittling that down to what is actually essential. Looks very much like a fine weekend for the run down to Austria. plenty of sun and warm all weekend and into next week. which is more than can be said for the Grossglockner.. where its pretty horrible today after a fair amount of snow fall last nigh!! Pity any poor fools who had today earmarked for a ride up there. .2c and awful visibility.2 points

Well, this Joke created a civil war inside the Washington Post, it might be good. "Every girl is bi. You just have to figure out if its polar or sexual."2 points

Better we don't know though Clive. Live every day as if it's our last at our age! Why do you think I bought a GS?1 point

He's a just dancing man Kathleen. This is exactly how a lot of the Irish roadworkers speak, they have a way with the words. When I asked one of them what their new supervisor was like he replied, 'Well I'll tell you. He's a grand fella..... but I wouldn't want to pay for his breakfast!' This was his polite way of saying he was signing off on the wages fairly but was also a fat bastard.1 point

It was just an auction bid war but yeah good advice right there I'll be going over it with a fine tooth comb, give it a service and fluid changes before it gets unleashed1 point

Rich, before you ride it make sure you go through everything on that bike even down to checking nuts and bolts . There's probably a good reason why it was a £1600 eBay bargain1 point
