………..because some people are daft enough to believe they actually need one in their life. I test ride one of those when they first came out and it was fucking horrible; heavy, lardy, and frankly all round unpleasant. Most people buy them and never take them off road, using them only for touring about on. There are far better purpose built tourers for much less money and as for off road, they are a liability if the going gets tricky unless you are a very skilled rider. Have to say, the customer service at that dealer was very good and they had my Himalayan in the workshop for an hour and checked it over thoroughly which also means (hopefully) they do the same with all their bikes. Anyway, I’m not old or decrepit enough for a GS (yet!) …………I’m sure @Pedro will be along to defend the GS Brotherhood very soon.4 points

I think in his mind he's just doing the community a service and helping people who just don't read other people' posts to keep up. But they've flounced, @XTreme, you can give it a rest now!2 points

Are Legends! Riding together for a pacing run up Goodwood Not quite the same thing as the old days, like in the video below when they pass Eddie Lawson like he's standing still, but probably quite a lot more emotional for both of them.1 point

I've never dealt with them but I've seen their adverts for years. They always seem to have decent stuff there......and they present them well online.1 point

I don’t defend any brotherhood, not even bikers, there’s twats everywhere! Last place I want to be seen in is a bar full of GSs outside. I like GS’s as a bike, though, and a nice 1150 is a very balanced and planted bike in my opinion. You don’t like them, and that’s fine, but then again you quite like the RE you’re selling so I don’t really know what to think of your taste in bikes.1 point

Really, it comes down to Honda and Yamaha now......they've kept innovating and developing new products while the other two have stood still and just kept rehashing the same old shit.1 point

Let us know how you get on with it if you buy it. I've seen loads of them for sale here and they're all a pretty good price.1 point
