Today was a challenging day, some tough trails, loose long climbs with baby head rocks in places. Just me and Phil today as Sarge had succumbed to the lurgy . I’m feeling a bit second hand at the moment as I looped the bike on one climb, landed on my back and head but my helmet did a great job The afternoon made up for it though with some beautiful scenic trails2 points

Yamaha have then but they’re hex on the outside so you can still get a decent socket/bit on them .2 points

I voted for that one just because it has a bush growing out of the throttle grip. That's class that is.2 points

Me too mate, the level of work required was well beyond my ability but luckily I have two very talented mates who love doing this sort of stuff.2 points

It’s a difficult situation for sure. Im lucky as my wife encourages me to go a lot of the time. Even if she wanted to ride pillion it’s not going to happen as one of us nearly always has to be there for our son. id go stir crazy if I couldn’t get away now and again2 points

It’s a Trail tech striker, very good looking but keeps failing in the rain so it’ll be coming off when I get home2 points

So, the old DR600S is nearing completion. All that remains is for me to order a new coil and HT leads and collect the seat from being reupholstered. New: coil and HT leads will set me back about €150 including tax and delivery whereas the reupholstered seat will set me back the princely sum of €35 from a local guy who does lovely work for not much cash. I can’t fucking wait.1 point

Well heard back from the teutonic breack down machine.... Ignition coil on cylinder #2 wasn't clip in properly from factory and worked it self out on the rough roads... Now I'll have to do another shake down run to get my confidence back...1 point

That's a bugga. I can piss off at almost any time, get more grief if she can't come (on her own bike) of course but she wouldn't stop me.1 point

No fear of my wife riding again, her gear (apart from her helmet and boots) does not fit her any longer.....so any rides for me consist of a couple of hours at the most, she should have learnt to drive years ago.1 point

Well here’s hoping she can manage it in reasonable comfort, I know it’s not easy for them with arthritis as the wife has it also, and I don’t like going without her just isn’t fair if she has to stay home while I go out, good look with that @XTremehope it works out for you both.1 point
