Out before 10......but it was already 33 and rising! It was a round trip of 160kms so it had really hotted up by the time I got back around 12.30! The bike went brilliantly.....no fuss or drama, no oil leaks, and no warning lights! After recent experiences having peace of mind and total confidence in the bike makes a big difference. Worked it a bit harder on the motorway.....120KMH/70mph is around 6k revs but it's quite happy at that point. Not stressed in any way, and if you need to overtake there's plenty more there. I love the bike, it's smaller, lighter, and much easier to manage than the bikes I've had in recent years! Why do they keep making bikes that are the size of small cars FFS? And I also found when I parked up that the turning circle is incredible. Where I'd normally be doing a 3 point turn this just turns on a sixpence, and doesn't feel top heavy either. So all good AFAIC......besides the fucking heat that is! Here we go.....6 points

Does anyone still deny this is happening? Got to be some nut balls in America I imagine, or @zzzak after a week on the baggie. Anyway the highest recorded temperature in Edinburgh was in 2019 and was 31.6 Celsius, forecast for this Tuesday is 32 Celsius. Gingers will die.5 points

I agree completely. I think its just a stop gap before they finally switch to hydrogen. IMO lithium mining isn’t the way forward. Plus the sales of battery vehicles has sky rocketed so unless they pull their finger out theyre predicting demand for charging points will outstrip supply by 2025. Batteries also have a limited life span and I have no desire to get lumbered with old tech or expensive replacement costs. But I was offered a superb deal, far far too good to turn down, they’ll have it back at almost exactly what I paid for it anytime in the next three years. Its ex demo and boy they do not hold their value at all! In the meantime I get to mess about on a bike that is so quick out the gate its frightening and Ill get shot of it before things move on.3 points

I looked it up and that's 56kg in a unit I understand. Seems to me if you really want to show off you should get some meat and muscle to go with your bones.2 points

That's a brave choice and not just because it's a Harley. I fell that anyone buying an electric vehicle at the moment is just a guinea pig, the manufacturers and the government are not telling whole truths.2 points

That's all i use is an old mobile phone with no sim card if you get the right one there's no problems with it the only thing you got right is it don't like being left in direct sunlight i have a case to keep the mud out but the phone itself is waterproof it has a brightness adjustment so it can be seen in bright sunshine i haven't had any problems in the cold and I've been out in the cold but i only use it in the uk might be different abroad1 point

One of of my all time favourites. I tried to cut off someones phone rant yesterday by saying can we talk about something else? They angrily replied "what do you want to talk about? Hm? Fluffy kittens?"1 point

Oh I don't have time... You have to download and app or something... Now that I have the Garmin... It would look awfully stupid going down the road with 2 gps going wouldn't it?1 point

Marcel! What’s the point of having that tv screen for a dashboard if you don’t bother with it? Ask the guys at KTM or whatever to set it up.1 point

Same, works well in England elsewhere meh. You have to find it on google maps then find that point on the Garmin map to navigate to it. Rubbish. I asked Garmin about it and it was the usual crap. Still it beats having your phone pack up cos its too hot, or cold or wet and oh the suns too bright for the crappy screen, oh liquid detected its stopped charging, oh balls it won't image stabilise anymore, oh FFS stop the txt alert banners covering the instructions..1 point
