No I’m not talking about you lot of buzzing fleabags. I am cleaning a lot less insects off my bike this year, has anyone else noticed this, despite the fact that we are getting a lot of warm weather. I have also noticed there are a lot less spiders around, possibly due to a reduction in their food source. Could be a sign of the end times, zombie apocalypse shortly.4 points

You know little about the man formally known as Buckster, arabian prince, e-millionaire, then, something happened. Turned up like a shroom in scotland on the run from that Dukes of Hazard cop cause he defiled some georgia peach.4 points

Thats fine though isnt it, it is a motorcycle forum with a ride report section. He's not the only one who drops in, leaves a ride report and disappears. Plus I don't think everyone is comfortable joining in until they know the environment. Six was pretty quiet when I first joined and now we get pics n van action n laughs. Just takes some folk a while to warm up. I nearly went on a trip with Motorbiker but other things got in the way. Before I joined he was keen I knew what I was getting into so gave me the contact details of others going. They have nothing but good things to say, he's organised, considers all the angles, appreciates its everyones holiday so leaves options open and every single one individually commented about how quick witted and funny he is. If you're being slow on the uptake he takes no prisoners and by all accounts is larger than life. Thats the sort of person most of the folk on here would have loved sparring with. He also very kindly went out of his way to help me out with good advice when I started riding, he's a wise man. That to me is an asset.4 points

I'm shocked by the sudden marked reduction. Camped next to a river near Ben Nevis didn't see a single fly/midge/moquito. Cleaned my visor twice the entire time I was away, usually it needs doing every day. Somethings not right.1 point

As I think I posted I went to see @Richzx6r at Donington Park the other week.....It was a very warm dry day,and i covered around 100 miles that day and, just 4 bug splats on the front of the scoot. And Bumblebees, I see very few in our garden, plenty of small wild bees though.1 point

I like the look of their stuff. Read good reviews of it but for road riding the metal panniers hold more, lock easily, have liner bags that easily pull out so no unpacking repacking ... and they create leg space when you want to take a lie down in the gravel but don't want to get your legs squashed1 point

Guess you've gleaned by now its a collaboration. Made in India, owned by an Indian company and designed using some of the better British end of things. I still have the 9T and I see why that would have thrown you off, soz about that, I just don't see them in the same class at all. The 9T might be BMWs offering of a retro bike but doesn't look like the old 90 or any old bike, its looks and power are far more modern than the plod along classics they're reviving. I liked the 9T when I first saw it but was surprised they were selling it with a retro tag when it only nods in that direction. Then the price tag and the build quality of BMW (Petes donkey aside) to me is in a different ball park.1 point

This is the HDRCGB, I’ve been a member for years, they actually ride their bikes and I have friends from around the U.K. that I have made through the club, they are good for finding parts, the club has a specialist tool collection that members can borrow as required and they are a great knowledge resource. The rallies are great fun as well. I’ve never not enjoyed a rally with this crowd. But like it has been said, it’s a biker thing, you wouldn’t get it, you are ginger.1 point

Yes that seems to be the norm in most events now, although the triumph owners one i went to a few weeks ago was ok probably because they were so old they had trouble putting their socks on let alone a corset1 point

I go to lots of similar events but just run by local clubs, i go for the music and the atmosphere i grew out of the uniform (dress like a pirate) many years ago but the new thing is they all seem to be going down the fancy dress route now where men in their 60s turn up in dresses and shit not my thing at all1 point
