Just got back from the Copdock bike show. The weather report has been waning of foul weather all week, so naturally I am burnt with panda eyes from my sunglasses. I stopped and spoke to a man with some small antique generators running and saw he had a Sinclair C5 on display so we talked about that for a while. I asked him what they were like to pedal and he said quite easy, you can get up to quite a speed in them just pedalling. Then he asked if I wanted to have a go around the field. He asked me twice and next thing I know he had lifted the rope and was showing me how to get in the thing without breaking the fragile part and how to put my feet on the pedals so as not to bang them on the upswing. I did a small lap of a bumpy grass field and he was right, very easy to pedal, steer and brake, even with my hand under my bum on the handlebars.5 points

I finally found a new lid I could live with today for touring. When I was living in the USA I developed a real aversion to full face helmets, I have always worn a mixture of full and open face but I think wearing only open face or half helmets for seven years meant I got used to the feeling of space. Since coming back to the UK I have struggled to find anything that does not make me feel claustrophobic. I have been watching the rise of modular helmets with interest especially when homologated to use both open and closed. I had tried the Shark a couple of years ago but didn't like the fit. Today I was looking at the HJC i100 and for the first time thought I may have found something I could live with, it had good space between the chin piece and my face and is P & J homologated. The sales guy said I should try the Scorpion Exo Tech which was actually a little cheaper and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. It has been a long time since I put on lid like this and found it was a perfect fit. Unfortunately they even had my preferred colour so I was forced to buy it. Features I particularly like are that the chin bar ends up on the back of the helmet when open, out of the airflow, the internal sun visor goes down very low and the main visor comes with a Pinlock insert. From here on this will be my winter and touring lid. The thing I dont like is all the writing on the visor makes it difficult to see. Of fuck me, it comes off!4 points

Took @Sofiaaround on a little ride around these same locations, this time starting quite farther away than my place. And saw the same things a little differently Brief stop over our local favourite location for a cool picture Can't deny there's a little bit more style in the Speed Triple than the GS Overgrown fig tree was running out of space inside this old house in ruins Split in three, this originally one olive tree flourished through the ages Priest's residence near the old church has a lovely garden in front, seems like something out of an old book. Lunch was delicious, on the same café as last time but this time wine garlic and sweet paprika marinated pork with an egg on top (bifana com ovo a cavalo) The little square was empty this time, festivities had come and gone2 points

For a wedding you need at least two hip flasks. And some food. I've never been to a wedding where everyones not starving and inebriated by the time the food arrives.1 point
