Got a day trip to Blackpool for the centenary of jaguar other than that not got anything planned, good news though I used the bike to go to work yesterday even though it was rather moist....had to really just to piss the neighbour off who said I'm a dickhead for unloading the van on Tuesday morning at 9am and I started the bike up to ride it in to the garage and it disturbed him yet he feels its normal and justifiable to play their music and 12 or 1 am in a rather loud fashion and I can't say shit about it.....hmmm retribution is a dish best served at a time when he hasn't got got leg to stand on7 points

I’m camped just outside a medium sized city which is strange but fun. Getting lots done, vehicle maintenance, buying some supplies and just staying in one place for a few days. Going for a long hike tomorrow and maybe a swim! Have a lovely weekend everyone.6 points

Weather next week, who knows?.. I don't hold much trust in the BBC forecast, Today i have got to get the scoot and all my power tool into the spare room...I may leave the locks off the shed doors, save the pikeys cutting them, and it will be a surprise for them when they find the shed is empty5 points

Going to be warm here.......though next week it all changes! Tomorrow I've got to take my boy and his girlfriend to the city of Granada (200 mile round trip) where they're spending a couple of days before flying to Crete! Sunday morning I hope to get out on the bike, and then it's take the grandkids out in the afternoon. So I got a full weekend! What about you lot?3 points

Yeah.....finally had a connection long enough to finish my July video and blog! We woke up on July 1st, Canada Day, in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Not exactly where I thought we would be at this time, but we were here for a good reason. You see, we couldn’t have it both ways, either we buy a home on land or a home on wheels, both were not an option, we had to choose one. Saskatoon would be the place to decide this and it would change everything. A new home on wheels and a quest to find a beautiful resting spot for my Mom, this was July, with lots of trees, water and stunning places in-between. Here are a few moments from July and my latest blog to go along with it. https://www.grasshopperspath.ca/post/new-home-on-wheels-meet-ella-3-03 points

On the subject of drugs, Amoxicillin does it for me, only had it twice, and made sure I was never far from a toilet.3 points

I like your style. Mind you, couldn’t you compromise with yourself and just punch him relatively hard a couple of times? Sometimes you just need to be flexible.2 points

A remarkable Head of State that united instead of dividing, that respected instead of controlling, that included instead of excluding, that listened instead of talking over others. A role model for the World, quietly making History and slowly changing the Kingdom and the Commonwealth She loved so much. So many reasons to love Her and respect Her, but above all for me the sense of Service and the love for horses and dogs.2 points

End of an era. All the coins, bank notes, the national anthem title, new pillar boxes, police badges, regimental titles, stamps, court papers, court crests etc will be slowly changed over the next few years with CRiii.2 points

Being a Portuguese, my opinion on this is obviously different to most of yours. I think she was a great lady, a worldwide symbol, and it's a shame she passed. Most countries would have been lucky to have a Queen such as her, or a King such as her father, in my opinion it's sad that she passed and sad that she's no longer your Queen.2 points

Today's lunch, roe salad and codfish cakes. They are made from codfish and potatoes, not really cakes but that's how it's translated. If you ever come by Portugal and see these around a cafe just point and ask for them. Typical, inexpensive and very good. You can give the roe a pass though, can't see most brits liking that even though it's great.1 point

Warning, couple of meals in this post are about to offend certain sensitive personalities that are more of the cheeseburger persuasion. Quick 20 minute fresh cherry tomato pasta: Canned horse mackerel sandwich Leftover grilled camembert and tomato bruschetta Hotdogs, with caramelized onion relish Mum's leftover squid from the previous day, turned into pasta the day after Proper summer meal, the amazingly sweet pineapple was the star Grilled courgette sandwich, with canned fish. It's a great sandwich, with olives and capers. Pantry sandwich, whatever's at home and opened goes in Basil and mint pesto, it was pretty much perfect Perfecting my Broccoli pasta, it's getting there and probably my favourite thing to cook right now. Although it's a paella pan, let's not offend anyone and just call it rice Vegetarian dinner: grilled aubergines, sautéed mushrooms with garlic, and salad. A simple onion omelette Lea the Terrier, very interested in this pasta sauce as soon as the anchovies started falling apart. No pictures of the end result. Octopus "à Lagareiro", baked with olive oil and potatoes. I obviously didn't cook it, a very nice restaurant did. "Lagareiro" is the man that operates the traditional olive oil press, most "Lagareiro" dishes are oven baked with garlic and potatoes, and a healthy dose of extra virgin high quality olive oil. The pesto was this place's touch and it worked. Giulia is an italian lady I know, she runs a restaurant in Germany and most dishes always feature peas thrown in one way or the other. I remembered her for some reason and peas went into the pasta, the result was pretty great. Comfort food, peas with quality chorizo from the Alentejo black pigs. I put a few different spices like turmeric, a lot of cumin, smoked paprika, some herbs, the home grown egg gifted by my neighbour finished it off perfectly and was a touch of love.1 point

It was about 8 feet tall. They use small saws too, but mostly regular chainsaws. People from around the world come to this little town and cut the shit out of cedar trees in the name of art...... Still amazing to see them all over town. ...me, smutty....oh my, never1 point

After a day's riding under a rain storm and not much else to eat but some hot soup at lunch and fruit. This evening's dinner... An entree of spicy gorgonzola, some olives and some amazing cherry tomatoes, I missed the flavor of tomatoes in this area. The wine is a local grown Syrah, very much my favourite bottle of red for the price. For mains, I had some oven cooked sweet potatoes and onions, lightly seasoned with turmeric and heavy on the paprika, and a small steak, bloody rare on the inside.1 point
