  1. If you take the right photo at the right place then you don’t need photoshop, like this one the other day at the safari park.

  2. I had a couple of hours to spare this morning so I thought I would pop along to my closest to look at the pretty things. Got chatting to chap who was having his bike serviced there who wanted to know about the Himalayan as he has a new RE Classic 350 bought from the same dealer as me. I had a good long look at what I couldn't afford, wished Thor had a coffee shop then came home. I would like to have gone further but still feeling a bit ropey from the Covid jab yesterday. Nevermind was a good day for a Bimble in the sunshine.

  3. A pleasant couple of hours this morning on the z750, even found a nice place for coffee and cake. What’s not to like eh? 🏍 Apparently, the bottom photo is a spare wheel off the bar owners’ CB500X.

  7. Hello my glamourous people, how are you all doing? Long time no word. I can't remember where I was up to. I hurt my knee in Cambodia. There's more to come on that story. I got the HiVolt Moto Tours business off the ground in Chiang Mai. We now have a fleet of brand new CRF300Ls for our customers to fang around the jungle on. Got them all kitted out for dirt. Bookings for the upcoming riding season, weather should be perfect in about a month. Customers seem happy. I am apparently, productively employed. Good God. Wonders will never cease. Currently in Oz for a flying visit to catch up with old friends and shop for bike parts. Back in Asia this weekend.

  10. Don't get your hopes up.......I'm only off to Granada to take the wife to the Hospital. I'll be gone about 6 hours so who can I put in charge? Just looking at who's posting at the moment and it seems @Buckster is here.....so I suppose it'll have to be him! After all, what could possibly go wrong?

  20. Thor is the only one local that doesn't have a cafe attached or on site here. Dameralls where my bike came from have a great burger bar attached and it is always busy. Makes the Dealership more of a ride destination if you can chill and have a drink or whatever.

  22. Yeah they do pack them in pretty tight, similar thing up at North Cornwall Motorcycles to. I would hate to see the results if one of those Indians went over, must have been 30 of them in the showroom. Very expensive set of dominoes. I have often wondered about their dealership as they all sorts there. They have a real good selection of Helmets and clothing as well as bikes. Good shop with a good reputation though. I seem to remember when they opened they were just Norton and Indian. Just classic Nortons in the showroom now. I was very tempted by a Benelli 400 Imperale before I got the Himalayan, but ultimately went with what I thought would be more rugged and reliable for everyday use and commuting. From memory I think they are dealers for Indian, Fantic, Morini, Benelli, Beta, Reijue (sp), CF Moto, Zontes, Mutt and Mash.

  27. I think it's fine and not just for if the lights bad. Who cares if its enhanced, if it's a good photo it's a good photo regardless of whether someone technicolored it, used an expensive camera, has done a photography course or has some other advantage. This isn't a professional photography competition. Banning stuff and rules is all a bit serious for something thats supposed to be lightweight fun. It's not a sport, photoshopping aint doping. I'm wondering if Pete's lack of wins has him trying to eliminate the competition?

  29. I'm looking for some advice, the other day my bike was parked inside a motorcycle bay and a car reversed into my bike knocking it over. I didn't see the incident but the driver of the car kindly left me a note on my bike letting me know what had happened and their contact details. The bike has quite a bit of cosmetic damage now to the side of it (scratches all over the side it fell on and then a little indent bump on the other side of the body where the contact was made). When I got home I got in contact with the other driver and they passed me over their details and insurance policy details. My next move was to call my insurer Bennetts, they went through preliminary questions and told me I'd be contacted by the claims team tomorrow for a more detailed follow-up. This afternoon I was contacted by 4th Dimension who underwrites on behalf of Bennetts (I think?) to question me about the incident. The rep from 4th Dimension then asked whether I'd like to claim on my policy or the other driver's; since I'm not at fault I decided to choose the other driver's policy. After the phone call, I then had a little Google search for 4th Dimension and saw a whole array of 1-star reviews which has now led me to become very anxious about the situation - especially considering it's my first ever claim. Has anyone gotten some advice on how I'm handling the situation thus far? Should I be doing anything further in the meantime? Would be good to hear of any experiences with these companies... TIA
